The honesty was refreshing. As much as I disagree with what he had to say it was nice to hear someone speak plainly. As for the violence? I’m not looking forward to it, but I think its inevitable and its not really going to matter who strikes first.

Hiya Atechgeek. The man we need in the WH is Ron Paul or some one like him who wants the USA returned to the Constitution & follow the Founder’s intent for the USA.

Some one said something above about Beck cowering in fear. I don’t think that is it. I don‘t think it’s fear that motivates Beck, I think it is common sense.

If the left does try this kind of violence, we know they will be in concert with the 0 administration. If they attack & we respond we will be blamed for starting it. Then 0 would send in the troops,
probably UN or NATO. Then what?

We are on precarious ground, so we must be very careful. The left wants to provoke us, it’s part of their game plan. We must be wise in how we respond to idiots like the clown in the video. IMO they are trying to set us up so they can have an excuse to round us up…

And they may perpetrate their violence for a few days in some of the larger cities (Chicago?) but to complete their mission eventually they’d need to come to the fields of the south and the mountains of the east. When they get here, they won’t hear “Viva la (insert ignorance du jour)! The last thing they’ll ever hear will be “How y’all doin?“ followed by ”click click BANG.” We’d welcome them 6 days a week, but it’s still illegal to hunt here on Sunday.

So, this beta male dork is talking violence. Perhaps he should have taken a tally of how many gun stores are owned by Marxists before he started running his mouth. I’m not aware of one, anywhere. Does he think the NRA or Gun Owners of America have suddenly become leftist organizations? Does he think the military will support him? I mean, you know, besides the Commander in Chief. Will the police support him?

The sleeping giant is not our government, it is comprised of the millions of us who have actually read and believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights and have the ability to defend it from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We have been very patient, but if the Marxists truly get violent I predict a civil war of about a week’s duration. They’ll quickly retreat back to their usual role of victim status, and we will go back to our usual role of repairing their damage. I don’t wish for it, but I also don’t fear it.

Glenn needs to quit trembling in fear when the Marxists start talking violence. We are armed so we don’t have to live in fear. To those who think that violence is never the answer, where would we be if the Founders of this country felt that way? Defending yourself is always justified and yes, sometimes violent. So be it.

The world’s largest army? America’s hunters
      Redding.com ^ | December 6, 2010

Posted on Monday, December 06, 2010 6:09:18 PM by SJackson

I don’t spend my fall weekends tramping around the woods in pursuit of a buck, but a lot of my friends and neighbors do.

This blogger adds up all the hunters in just a handful of states, and comes to a striking conclusion:

The state of Wisconsin has gone an entire deer hunting season without someone getting killed. That’s great. There were over 600,000 hunters.

Allow me to restate that number. Over the last two months, the eighth largest army in the world – more men under arms than Iran; more than France and Germany combined – deployed to the woods of a single American state to help keep the deer menace at bay.

But that pales in comparison to the 750,000 who are in the woods of Pennsylvania this week. Michigan’s 700,000 hunters have now returned home. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia, and it is literally the case that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

His point? America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting — it’s not just a way to fill the freezer. It’s a matter of national security.

Not quite so pat. It’s “nothing new for human beings”. I hate to point this out, what with the current craze of trying to emulate Movie Gandhi and all (not the real Gandhi, who was not anti-violence), but fact is that this nation, these united States of America, was founded by men who *struck the first blow*, who started the fight with violence, against a tyrannical king. We’re no more pacifists than these socialist punks, and 99% of us own several weapons which I’m *certain* are not kept just for hole punching in paper and hunting.

We need to get over this Movie Gandhi thing. We’re human and we all have our breaking point, just like the Left, just like any other political movement really.

Civil unrest with the intent of taking over society or civil unrest that will trigger new speech laws and shut down dissent or anything the political class does not like?

Remember: Top Down Bottom Up Inside Out

The goal of these left wingers is not to win with their violence, it is intended to trigger a response from the Government. The response will include new laws on freedom of assembly, speech and 2nd amendment – all in the name of maintaining peace. Think about it, they have a lefty president and enough rinos to impose these new standards. They did it in the UK, rights to speech was curbed in the name of “civility and not inciting hatred” Not inciting hatred is a blanket a progressive will use to silence anything that does not agree with their agenda.

These people could never pull off a violent overthrow, but they could use the violence to force the hand of government to limit free speech right before an election.

      .
      I’m not a pacifist.
I believe in 2nd amendment rights and an absolute right to self-defense.
However, I also caution both sides that no violent conflict leaves you unscathed and seldom does violence give you the results you seek without creating worse problems.

Consider this… If you had a young child that was frustrated because they couldn’t have their way… and that child resorted to punching you in the stomach… would you unleash holy hell on them or would you try to think of a less violent way to teach them proper behavior?

Progressives may be adults in age, but not in their mental growth. They are children mentally – children who were spoiled by lazy irresponsible parents who’ve left it up to the rest of society to teach that there are consequences to every decision they make.

What do you do with a spoiled child? Unless they’re pointing a gun at you, you don’t shoot them. You withhold the rewards of your hard work. You stop rewarding their spoiled rotten behavior. Examples – stop watching movies that star Hollywood liberals, stop buying products that are endorsed by them or that advertise on MSNBC (and other liberal shows). Stop re-electing Progressives and RINOS and tighten up the voting laws in your cities and counties. Tighten up the liberal abuse of absentee ballots and volunteer to be Poll watchers on Election Day.

Work to have your state pull back from the Federal trough and reclaim all the rights that the states never granted to the Federal government under the constitution.

I understand that conservatives work hard and at the end of the day just want to be left alone… I‘m not saying that we are responsible for spoiling the progressives but there’s a whole lot more we could have done to manage their unrealistic expectations.

The short-term solution of getting into a shooting war with them will be no more satisfactory than slapping your kid around. You’ll get an immediate effect, but you’ll cause longer-term damage. I say the answer is to realize that we have the power through our ability to produce things with our minds. We are smarter than them, we work harder, and they are largely dependent on us. We just don’t realize it.

Ironically, THEY do realize it, & they know that the only way they can get what they want from us is by whining and throwing tantrums, going on strike, rioting, and trying to guilt us into “sharing”. I don’t mind sharing my wealth with those who appreciate it, but the problem with ‘spoiled’ people is that they never appreciate it and it’s never enough for them!

One good example currently in the news – By refusing to raise the debt limit – we are flexing our muscle… That is such a tiny step…but it is so important to send that message that we’re done spoiling them! There’s a whole lot more we can do before taking up arms. Yes, some of them may riot or shoot first and they will need to be taken out in self-defense, but let’s hope it ends there. The long-term solution will come from withholding our productivity and tax dollars from their insatiable demands that we support them. We need to be more discerning about whom we share our bounty with. As Dennis Miller implied so eloquently – Help the truly helpless, but you’re not obligated to help the clueless.

I am afraid Ghost of Jefferson needs to revisit his history book a little. Although it is not determined who fired the first shot at Lexington the British were the to first open fire on a volley and Killed 6-7 Americans and wounding several others without any order by the commanding British officer to engage ( call it tension or jitters). no British soldiers died in the first encounter. and by the way the fighting only broke out after 15-20 previous years off constant legal oppressions, violation of English common law with regards to individual rights and crippling economic burdens foisted without any representation of ours in parliament. Ironically the first real public demonstration of resistance against the crown and its policies (the Boston Tea Party) was a peaceful protest against we as English Citizens being forced to buy a government sponsored product and be taxed or penalized for purchasing or failing to purchase it without any representation( Sounds like another government mandate we just got foisted on us.) and when we protested and took our case to the King and the Government we were ridiculed, told to shut up and pay it, That the King was the sovereign of the nation and we were his citizens to do with as he pleased, demonized and called traitors to the crown, and had laws stripping us of our individual rights as English citizens enacted discriminatory against us as colonists (sounds a lot like what Conservatives and tea partiers are being called now). perhaps Franklin said it best. “I don’t mind being called and Englishman if I was accorded the same rights as one. But to call me one without those rights is to call an Ox a Bull.“ ” Never was so Valuable a possession so carelessly and foolishly misused than this entire continent by the British crown. Our industry discouraged our resources pillaged.Worst of all our very character stifled. We have started something new here, more violent and primitive, less refined we are a new nationality, we require a new nation.” I think I will stand with him. America has its faults but unlike the rest of the world which runs to embrace them (See Socialism and all its forms-Fascism,Communism,Socialism, Mob rule masquerading as a democracy.) We actually try over time to correct them.

Seems like old Pat was right, don’t you think.

Perhaps it’s time to give them what they want? How long are we going let parasites hire the government to STEAL from us before we stand up and fight back? Perhaps it’s time for a revolution of the producers? Even the Declaration of Independence itself says that when government becomes destructive: “it is the Right of the people to alter or abolish it.” Thomas Jefferson also wrote: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants,” and “A wise and frugal government…shall refrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned.”
Since our government is no longer following Jefferson’s advice on not taking the bread labor has earned, perhaps it’s time for those who labor to follow Jefferson’s advice on refreshing the tree of liberty?
When nearly half of the average Americans hard earned wages are legally plundered by an out of
control, rights violating, behemoth government that no longer adheres to the principles set forth in The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution, maybe, just maybe, the day of reckoning is at hand. I for one, welcome it. Perhaps it’s time for the second “shot heard round the world”.

Or if you like a beer on Saturday night but your king makes beer illegal and only permits you to drink scotch? And just to beat you to the punch, no, I’m not talking about property taxes and drinking. I‘m talking about it’s not necessarily the first act of physical violence which is the first act of violence. “Melvin Spittle, no it doesn’t. The law is no longer studied; case law is taught instead.”

This statement shows your absolute misunderstanding of the law. In case you didn’t know, case law is the the law. That is, it is the court’s interpretation of the constitution, statutes, and precedent. Under a common law system, which the US has, case law cannot be ignored because it is the law, along with the constitution and statutory codes. When a court has interpreted a statute or constitution, depending on how high the court is, that interpretation (case law) is the law.

On another note, why are you blazers up in arms about this, I don‘t remember any of you having a problem with Jan Brewer saying the you might need to resort to Second Amendment rights if the election didn’t turn out her way. How is that not stating that violence is the answer?

@ MrClean re the obamanauts‘ and rinos’ reaction to violence in the streets: A most correct assessment, in my opinion. Another aspect to consider is the precedent we are setting with regard to United Nations and NATO military intervention in sovereign nations at the whim and aquiesence of an imperial president without regard for an increasingly impotent congress. I suspect the shade of Augustus is grimly smiling in admiration. Our preparations for survival (make no mistake we are in a struggle for the survival of our culture and civilization and political correctness be damned) must be all encompassing. Take note of the failure of ground swell opposition to the Libyan military without the necessary ability to negate Ghaddafi’s air and armored forces. Take note of the infiltration of the Pentagon and Officer Academies by those not faithful to the Constitution. (Our nation is being pacified from within and the will to fight is being excised from the national consciousness. Don’t you dare beat up that bully! You must let the state handle it or you will be punished even more severely than the initial transgressor.) Is our intervention in Libya by executive fiat legal? Bush at least had AUMF and if you read that document you will be mildly surprised by the restraint exercised by Bush considering the powers given to him by Congress. The point being if our excursion into Libya is illegal then should not our military forces refuse to obey illegal orders? If the intervention is unconstitutional, if the executive branch fosters regulatory tyranny and the destruction of the foundations of our Republic pray tell to whom then is the defense of the Constitution obligatory and unyeilding? The choke chain sits comfortably on the neck of the well fed dog until the master commands obedience. Prepare many paths to obtain our goals and be willing the take the path least expected. There is no success without sacrifice. I regret the lack of brevity.

Only the “useful iidiots”, as Lenin called them, want to believe that these “revolutionaries” are idealists that don’t want to harm us. Our educational institutions, with the collaboration of the American Press, are helping to turn out more and more “useful idiots” that advance the ideas and actions of the revolutionaries. I don’t like this reverberation of that attitude they are presenting on the left. The truth is violence is necessary when all else fails and tyranny and oppression are rampant. We have many options and tyranny and oppression are not upon us. This is no more than the debating of view points at the current moment. We are still a Democratic-Repulic and we are making progress in the right direction.

godfather, the definition of case law is “reported decisions of appeals courts and other courts which make new interpretations of the law and, therefore, can be cited as precedents”. The part with which I have the most problem is “interpretations of the law” and “precedents”. Once a precedent is set, it can apply to future cases. Thus, causing gradual changes in the ways in which the laws are applied. The law should be much more black and white, just like right and wrong, with less room for interpretation. Allow such vague interpretations are how you end up with child rapists being release like the case recently in Utah, as only one example of many, where the judge’s interpretation of the law, and whether or not the rapist posed a danger to the public, is why he was released. It would be a true tragedy if the rapist either rapes or kills someone else because of the judge’s loose interpretation. Stand trial and let the evidence speak. If you‘re guilty you’re taken off the streets to project the public from future crimes. If you’re unable to stand trial, and you clearly pose a threat to the public, as the man in Utah did, then you‘re held involuntarily for treatment until you’re able to stand trial, and to public is protected from your sorry ass until you’re able. That is black and white and common sense. Since the precedent is now set in Utah, this could happen again until the law is changed. Protecting the public is what the law is supposed to do and it’s clearly not.

As for Jan Brewer’s comment, what she said was clearly hyperbole. What the idiot in this video is saying goes far beyond hyperbole.

Conservatives don’t want our country turned any more Socialistic and certainly not Communistic. There are plenty of lovely Communist countries in the world if that’s what you want. Pick one and move. I hear China is beautiful this time of year. Be prepared to lose some of your rights, many of your rights. I choose to keep mine. @TEXASCOMMONSENSE

It seems then that you have a problem with our legal system as a whole, not the way in which law is taught. I don’t know what happened with that case in Utah, but giving you the benefit of the doubt, the judge made the wrong decision. Judges make incorrect legal decisions all the time, but when that happens, the legislature can step in and correct it. It isn’t a perfect system and as much as you might like it to be, things are not black and white. Furthermore, if a court’s decision is incorrect, unless it comes from the federal or state supreme court, other courts don’t have to follow it. The judge can disagree and state that the other court was wrong. Oftentimes statutes are not clear and judges have to do the best they can to figure out what the legislature intended when they passed the law, and sometimes they get it wrong. Like it or not, that is how our legal system works.

In my last post I didn’t say anything about supporting communism, but I guess you figured that I do anyways. Look, just because someone may have a less conservative viewpoint than you does not make them a communist.

The clown in the video, and many others these days, do want Communism. It speaks volumes when the Communist Party USA openly support Obama on their web site.

I have been told many colleges teach case law. I have a problem with that, myself.

The case in Utah, of which I was speaking, was featured on the O’Reilly factor. The legal team looked analyzed it and disputed Bill’s claim the first judge was at fault. The second judge in the case clearly made the wrong decision. I‘m guessing you don’t watch that show.
