DC Drift: ‘Real News From The Blaze’ on Fast and Furious Fallout

Yesterday was an up and down day in the investigation and controversy surrounding Operation Fast and Furious, as the House Oversight and Government Reform committee voted to cite Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress following President Obama’s assertion of Executive Privilege to avoid turning over Justice Department documents related to the case.

Now that the dust has settled, what are the political and legal ramifications of both the move towards contempt and the president’s use of the suspicious executive action? And as the discussion around the case has descended into debate on the legality of executive branch actions and campaign implications, has Washington forgotten about Brian Terry, the border patrol agent who paid the ultimate price for reckless actions of the federal government.

    When the truth comes out, a few people need to be run out of office and some might be deserving of worse than prison. It is treasonous to our country when someone tries to deceptively turn public opinion against the second amendment.

    This is NOT just politics. This is TREASON. Trying to subvert the US Constitution is not a cause for mere partisan bickering. This is serious. What part of the oath “To defend the constitution” did these schifosi not understand?

    Brian Terry‘s family and the families of others murdered by Obama’s and Holder’s F&F, deserve the truth. And so so the rest of us.

    This administration has all but screamed guilty on this issue with actions and body language. You would not see this degree of backlash if they weren’t hiding something big.There are some big fish to fry here and the Republicans will have to do it all alone. They are in for the fight from hell as this administration will fight to the death to preserve themselves. But in the end truth will prevail, it always does eventually.

    I believe that Mr. Holder will be forced to resign and Mr. Obama hopes this will take the heat off of his executive privilege, but I don’t think it will. The consevative Republicans will want to know why he invoked the privilege and how the executive branchwas involved.

    Because he is lying and will go down with it. It is a treasonist act to arm the enemy.
    To claim the previous adm. started this is an outright lie. That was a different program and failed too.

    When this all comes down and real transparency shows Holder lied, Obama’s presidential legacy will be tied to obstructing the investigation of the death of Terry an American citizen. Americans won‘t like that and the media won’t be able to protect either Holder or Obama anymore. There’s just something creepy about Pres. Obama caring more for Holder than for a dead border patrol agent and his parents who still don’t know all the facts after 18 months.
