DC Mob Targets Boehner, AT HIS HOME!

And now the protests have migrated to HOMES of Republican politicians.  Yesterday morning at 7:30, some two dozen members of an organized group called DC VOTE descended on Speaker Boehner’s residence to deliver a message.  They were chanting,

“Don’t tread on DC!”

and

“No taxation without representation.”

The group is allegedly upset at a current budget proposal that would cut some federal funding to the District as well as limiting the use of Federal funds for needle exchange programs and abortions.

DC Mob Targets Boehner, AT HIS HOME!

The Capitol Police were on the scene to manage the crowd, but the question remains – Why did DC VOTE think it appropriate to bring their protest to the private residence of an elected official?  The group’s executive director Ilir Zherka is quoted as saying;

“Speaker Boehner is coming to our home telling us how to spend our money,  we decided to come to his house to tell him to leave D.C. alone.”

This is not the first time a protest has moved from public spaces and migrated to private homes.  Less than a year ago, 500 SEIU-organized protesters showed up at the home of a Bank of America executive.

And just last month in DC, protesters swarmed the residence of a man who has been vocal about his support for Wal-Mart’s plans to build four stores in DC, stores that could bring as many as 1200 permanent, full-time jobs to the area.

Are these isolated incidences or is a trend developing?  The right to assemble in public and protest is fundamental to the American political system.  However, this relocation of protests from public spaces to private homes sounds more like something from a Medieval revolt, a storm-the-castle moment.  It is certainly an issue to be addressed sooner, rather than after someone is held captive in their home by an angry mob circumventing the political process that has served our Republic for over two centuries.

I know that media bias exists and I should get over it but, how can there ever be an adult conversation about the debt or anything else with a one sided media? Every paper, network news program and news magazine should be screaming about this but, the only place you’ll hear about is the web, FOX and talk radio.

The media won’t portray these thugs for who they are, but the truth will show itself. Norton was elected in 1990 as a Democratic delegate to the House of Representatives, defeating city council member Betty Ann Kane in the primary despite the last-minute revelation that Norton had failed to file D.C. income tax returns for several years and owed thousands of dollars.[4][5] Her campaign manager was Donna Brazile.[5] The delegate position was open because Del. Walter Fauntroy was running for mayor rather than seeking reelection.[6] Norton took office on January 3, 1991, and has been reelected every two years since.[6] Norton is up for reelection in November 2012.

Delegates to Congress are entitled to sit in the House of Representatives and vote in committee (including the Committee of the Whole), but are not allowed to take part in legislative floor votes.[7] The District shares this limited form of congressional representation with Puerto Rico and four other U.S. territories: Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Legislation strongly supported by Norton that would grant the District of Columbia a voting representative in the House, the District of Columbia House Voting Rights Act of 2009, was passed by the United States Senate on February 26, 2009. However the legislation stalled in the House and failed to pass prior to the end of the 111th Congress.

They need to do that to that Baptist (un-Christianlike) Church when they show up at funerals. The permit ought to cost a fortune too. Apparently the city governments haven‘t thought of this moneymaker yet but it fits right in with Obama’s agenda: unions can protest and help their pension funds at the same time – it’s a win/win.

The evil genius( There is probably more than one evil genius, but I don’t know the plural form ), behind the scenes, has tools that normal people don’t have, and one of these tools is “Global reach”. And it looks like supernturally good timing, too.

      From DC VOTE:
      Sample Call Script:

My name is ______ from _____. I’m calling to ask Speaker Boehner [BAY-ner] to remove amendments targeting Washington, DC’s local laws from the Continuing Resolution.

DC residents pay full federal taxes, fight in wars and serve on juries, but have no representation, no voice in their government.

      It’s taxation without representation.

Please tell Speaker Boehner that if he is serious about getting big government out of people’s lives, he must respect DC’s local laws and remove language in the Continuing Resolution that targets DC.

DC Vote is working to end this injustice and to protect DC’s local democracy.” – for those too buisy blogging to click & read their site. ;)

They are correct in that the DISTRICT of Columbia doesn’t have the same representation (because it’s not a state) they are taking their protest to the wrong place. Intimidation isn’t democratic…it’s mob rule. BTW: the Black Sabbath song of the same name is killer! lol!

I like Boehner‘s tan because I’m from SoCalif (the “state” that acts like it’s own distorted country). Hopefully he’s carrying with several extra clips…it’s cheaper than a herd of body guards.

Beck’s right, this bs is spreading. Sheep.

“In Texas, when someone threatens your life or home, you can shoot first and ask questions later.”

Yep. Oddly enough, Texas gun laws are more restrictive than here in Ohio. I don’t know when that changed, but it’s strange now you cannot open carry any longer in Texas (with the exception of hunting).

Classic Commie agenda! The brainwash the masses with a slogan “No Taxation without Representation”

I just went to their site. This is what that slogan means.
      1. Same sex marriage rights in DC
      2. Taxpayer funded abortions
      3. Syringe access programs for drug users
      4. Promote anti gun laws
      5. Medical Marijuana distribution centers

How about an easy solution. All those who want to support these programs can fill out a checklist of items that they want the government to take money out of their paychecks in taxes to provide. All those that don‘t want these services won’t have any extra deductions to pay for this and have less taxes taken out of their check. After all how can you make people pay taxes for something they don’t use or support?

If they are on his private property, they should be arrested for trespassing. We have a right to assemble publicly, but that is completely different than a mob showing up at some one’s home.

Total agree with you. Both are solely based on ideology. Crazy sick twisted belief systems. Democraps, and muslims. They tell us to be calm and civil as they beat us over the head with their BS. Did you watch Glenn Beck last night talking about the similarities between end times beliefs of Christians and that of Muslims… WOW!!! SCARY STUFF!!!

Actually, I hate guns, but have been shopping for one lately. Anyway, we have a concealed handgun law in Texas, which is why I don’t think you can open-carry handguns. Evidently, the logic is that criminals are less likely to mess with someone if they don’t know whether or not that person is carrying a gun. It must work, because our crime rate has fallen like a rock since the law passed. Yet another thing Liberals are wrong about, since they argued that crime rates would increase if the concealed weapon law passed.

I attended the 8/28 rally at the Lincoln Memorial, it was the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed. Honestly, it had absolutely nothing to do with the speakers or the music or the the fanfare, it was about the people. Everyone I met was there for the person beside them. I have never been around such a likeminded yet diverse crowd. These ppl protesting true american values are in no way like the Tea Party or those at The Restoring Honor Rally. These ppl are shameful and selfish. May they all get whats coming to them, and unfortunately the rest of us as well.

These people live on hatred and will admit up front that “they” make laws that apply to others, but not themselves.. Thank God the people have wakened..

What the hell is “Lester the Pester”?

Is he related to Chester the Molester?

      What about Charleton Hester?

Does he stay at Best Western?

Remember Fred, Lamont, and Aunt Ester?

I would hope the Johnny Boney and the NRA wouldn’t cave in to pressures for frivolous microstamping and other creeping gun restrictions. Our Supreme Court in Ohio has ruled that any laws stricter than theirs is null and void.

People have the right to open carry right now just like the police, but they don’t because the police will violate their 2nd amendment and 4th amendment rights, because of their “reasonable suspicion” bullcrap.

Basically, that means that whenever they deem reasonable, they can consider you suspicious, even if you’re not breaking the law.

What we need right now is a memorandum sent out to all law enforcement statewide, describing the Supreme Court ruling, and explaining to them that stopping and detaining individuals who are exercising their 2nd Amendment right to bear arms and open carry (not concealed) is a violation of their rights, and that they would be subject to lawsuits, which they would undoubtedly lose.

Boehner is 3rd in line to The Office of President of The United States of America. The AUDACITY, can you imagine if that happened to Pelosi?

Apparently, Boehner needs Secret Service protection and from who? The same type of groups that DHS and the FBI ought to be investigating and prosecuting.

This is not the America we grew up in. This is the America under a socialist regime. How does it feel America? Is this the kind of society you want to live in?

DC does have representation, and constitutionally they’re not supposed to have and why should I tell the speaker anything? I agree with the speaker! You need to get a real job and quite freeloading off the government. It’s not up to the government to supply you with fresh needles, so you don’t get aids from your drugs and chosen lifestyle. But it is the left that routinely uses the threat of violence and force to coerce others to do what they want. Prepare because very bad days are ahead for us all.
