DEA Arrests Six in Chicago Drug Bust, Seizes Heroin, Weapons and….Packers Super Bowl Ring?

Last week, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) busted up a Chicago drug ring, resulting in a seizure of 20 kilograms of heroin, about $1.4 million in cash, 18 weapons and a very special piece of jewelry – a 2010 Green Bay Packers Super Bowl ring, The Chicago Tribune reports.

However, Packer fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that no team members were involved in the bust as federal authorities say the championship ring was previously reported stolen by a Packers team executive.

Following months of investigation and electronic surveillance, the DEA working with multiple Chicago police departments arrested six suspects with ties to Mexican drug trafficking, according to the Tribune. In other words, the drug dealers are likely linked to Mexican drug cartels.

Officials didn’t say how they ended up with the ring. Milwaukee’s TMJ4 reported on the incident:

The defendants are Pedro Salas, 21, of Belvidere, Jesus Fuentes, 37, of Gary, Ind., Sergio Baltazar-Lujano, 27, of Chicago, Gerardo Baltazar-Lujano, 25, of Chicago, Ester Carrera 59, of Gary, Ind., and Anthony Santiago, 38, of Des Plaines, Ill.

Looking to preemptively squash future accusations from any “morally bankrupt” fans of their division rival, the Chicago Bears, NFL.com writer Dan Hanzus lightheartedly wrote:

Now, before a morally bankrupt Chicago Bears fan tries to pin this thing on Aaron Rodgers, you should know authorities already have said the ring was stolen from a Packers team executive.

In summation, a Packers exec will be reunited with his Super Bowl ring and Aaron Rodgers is not connected to a defunct Mexican smack cartel. Glad to clear that up.

Though the arrests were made nearly two weeks ago, feds made the announcement of the bust and recovery of the Super Bowl ring yesterday.

While i am glad they took out part of a cartel full of illegals lets be honest, is this going to stop people form doing herion? 22 pounds seems like alot but it really isnt and wont stop the people form that area from getting high one bit. I am all for the legalization of all drugs, if we are truly free then how you can tell people wha they cant use? Personallly i would like cocaine, meth and herion users to have access to as much as they want. They can OD , die and thin out the gene pool of addicts.

War on drugs is a waste of time and $$ and clearly hasnt worked. More on drugs now than when the war started. Lets use this $$ for other things

Business is good for the DEA….1.4 million in cash that will never be seen again, 18 weapons to distribute amongst each other, and 20 kilos of heroin to recycle through the system again…..

And the reason it took 2 weeks to anounce the bust? Feds had to find some legal identies for the Illegal aliens named above.

Well reading comprehension is clearly lacking here. It is stated in the report that the Ring that was recovered was stolen from a Team Executive, some middle manager. Or perhaps from the coach. either way 20 kilo’s of heroin removed from the pipe line. that works out to 44 pounds of poison. And I am delighted that junkies are not overdosing and dieing. It is murder by action, in other words these drug dealers are murdering American Citizens by bringing heroin into this nation. And should face the Death penalty as their actions caused the death of others. I know there is a law that addresses this
issue. If we as a nation take the action of executing dealers of heroin as facilitating and aiding murder through herion distribution of this narcotic it will cease to be an issue. China kills all dealers and users. so what to do. I say full court Press on Our boarder with Mexico. We must stop at all costs the deadly drugs flowing freely across our South boarder. I as a Citizen Demand !

Maybe that team exec was hanging out with Obama doing a little blow with some black panther hoodlums that saw him as an easy target

No.That executive was probably peddling the drugs from his white colleague. You know that most the drugs that come into the US,a white man is behind it. Most of you whites ship in planes, trains,in tunnels under the borders, etc. That’s a proven fact.Blacks may engage in the trade, but white people created and control the drugs. The drug war will never be fought aggressively, because too many of your cousins probably engage in it.Even Limbaugh was popping that Oxy,
