Dear Santa: U.S. Senator Warns of Global Warming at North Pole

In an open letter to Santa (posted at the Huffington Post), Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., warns Mr. Claus that he and his reindeer may soon have to move their base of operations from the North Pole due to the “dramatic melting of Arctic sea ice.”

Apparently Sen. Menendez didn’t hear that another ice age is on the way.

Here‘s the Senator’s full letter:

Dear Santa Claus,

I am writing out of concern, because you may have to move from the North Pole due to the dramatic melting of Arctic sea ice. The Navy’s chief oceanographer says that by the summer of 2020 the North Pole may not have summer ice and other scientists project that an ice-free Arctic is possible as soon as 2012!

Scientists overwhelmingly agree that polar ice is melting because of greenhouse gas pollution and I am working hard to reduce these emissions. But there is probably nothing we can do in time to save the North Pole. I am worried about your safety and your ability to deliver billions of Christmas gifts if the ice cap on the North Pole no longer stays frozen all year. What will happen to your house, your workshop, the elves’ houses and your reindeer barns?

I want you to know that if you want to relocate to the beautiful state of New Jersey, I would be proud to assist you. But given the climate you are accustomed to, I will understand if you would like to relocate to the South Pole. Just be sure not to move to the Antarctic Peninsula or West Antarctic ice sheet, areas that are also experiencing rapid ice melt.

Please know that I will work to mobilize the U.S. federal government to assist when you relocate. I am sure we can both agree that on a warming planet, we need to do all we can to save Christmas.

I feel a “Santa Stimulus” coming — complete with a green energy government grant for a new electric sleigh to replace all those methane-producing reindeer and collective bargaining agreements for Santa’s Elves International Union (SEIU).

Doug Powers also jokingly wonders why any self-respecting liberal environmentalist would worry about Santa’s well-being.

Santa Claus is a morbidly obese future burden on the health care system who utilizes animal slave labor and vertically-challenged sweatshop workers who are paid well below a living wage in a non-union environment to manufacture and deliver toys that are fraught with small-part choking hazards that may promote violence. Democrats should be more than happy to see Santa forced to move down here where he’ll be more easily regulated and they can confiscate their fair share of the presents.

    Uh, Dear Senator Martinez,
I received your letter and am absolutely appalled you would think I do not understand science. It is genuinely disappointing that you would try to fool the all knowing Santa with such feces smelling lies. I do however understand you like to try to scare people into your lies. Therefore you will not receive any gifts this year not even a lump of coal. Without these so called greenhouse gasses your letter would not even been able to be written let alone deployed. I am writing you to let you know that while many people may believe you a majority still thinks you are full of it. There is no evidence of any serious or uncommon melting in either ice cap. The reason being The sun does not warm my part or the southern cap. While for eons the delicate fabric of the earth has stayed mostly consistent, the lies that people of your ilk have distressed humanity into thinking the sun does not cause cyclic warming and cooling.

Senator while you may be able to convince people about global warming. I am no human I am a mythical being brought to spread cheer to children and be the wrap taker for parents buying their children things. You would think an adult of your age would understand that adults even TEENS understand I am not real. Instead you tried to be coy and cute with less imagination than Al Gore. Sending this letter is nothing more than an idiot trying to raise taxes. We all understand. So please, do us all a favor and go home. Then when you are at home learn to shut your mouth unless you have a moment of honesty that is coming out. As for now please feel free to spout more lies the American people aren’t fully awake to the fact governments are intertwined in scientific results. MORON

    Love always,

My suspicions are confirmed! I always thought the DC crew lived in a fantasy world. Now they are writing to Santa Claus for help with their environmental agenda? Priceless!

His state, along with a handful of others, is already bankrupt. Collectively the entire Executive and Legislative branches, along with the regulatory gestapo they have created, are trying their level best to bankrupt the entire country. And this misrepresentative is writing to Santa. Is that Emperor Nero I hear fiddling in the background?

Be proud New Jersey. You’ve given this guy 17 years of your lives so he can play elf, and write to Santa Claus. At $174K per year for 19 years (we’re still on the hook with this Bozo until 2012) he took us for 3.3M. I‘m going to check my portfolio to make sure I don’t have any NJ based investments in there. Liberals are still foaming at the mouth over the DEBUNKED Global Warming claim. Once it was proven that the data was intentionally altered to back their lies the standard liberal rhetoric kicked in and they CONTINUE to stand behind the lie. Why? Because liberals are the most immoral people on this planet even though they would like us all to believe just the opposite. Liberals are nothing more than home grown terrorists.

To this poor delusioned Sen. Menendez (Dummycrat, NJ), apparently you are blithely unaware that the exposed e-mails which the Global Warming “Scientists” exchanged prove that the whole agenda is a hoax. The whole “Global Warming” scenario was created to bilk. exthort, and cajole governments, universities and corporations to “Donate” billions of dollars for their skewed and faulty “Research”.

Unfortunately Sen. Menendez is a true LIB-TARD who cannot accept the real truth and only wants to use the Warming to promote the socialist take over of America. He must be from one of those welfare supported districts where Dummycrats are elected and reelected on the promise of more and more handouts in order to keep the populace in welfare slavery.

When Gore went to NYC some years ago for a warming conference, NYC had extremely low temps. Or the time when he traveled to Australia and they had a “rare” blizzard. If things continue on their current track, farmers in the northern US and in Canada will have to adjust crops to ones that are cold weather tolerant, and can handle a shorter growing season. One of the problems Europe faced during the Maunder Minimum was that they kept planting the wrong crops, and the resultant famines weakend the population so the plagues were more virulent.

I think that global warming is more about world wide redistribution of wealth then it is about concern about man made global warming. The main spokesman for global warming, our very Al Gore, just bought a beach side mansion in California. He is telling everyone that world wide the ocean levels are going to rise and he buys property on the beach? Seems a little strange to me. Also his home in Tennessee uses 21 times the power of an average home. And let’s not forget he flies everywhere in a private jet. We do know however that he has made approximately $250 million off of the global warming industry. I think that Gore is a firm believer in P.T. Barnums adage “there’s a sucker born every minute”.

Professor Emiritus Hal Lewis Resigns from American Physical Society

The following is a letter to the American Physical Society released to the public by Professor Emiritus of physics Hal Lewis of the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Sent: Friday, 08 October 2010 17:19 Hal Lewis
From: Hal Lewis, University of California, Santa Barbara
To: Curtis G. Callan, Jr., Princeton University, President of the American Physical Society
      6 October 2010
      Dear Curt:
When I first joined the American Physical Society sixty-seven years ago it was much smaller, much gentler, and as yet uncorrupted by the money flood (a threat against which Dwight Eisenhower warned a half-century ago).
Indeed, the choice of physics as a profession was then a guarantor of a life of poverty and abstinence—it was World War II that changed all that. The prospect of worldly gain drove few physicists. As recently as thirty-five years ago, when I chaired the first APS study of a contentious social/scientific issue, The Reactor Safety Study, though there were zealots aplenty on the outside there was no hint of inordinate pressure on us as physicists. We were therefore able to produce what I believe was and is an honest appraisal of the situation at that time. We were further enabled by the presence of an oversight committee consisting of Pief Panofsky, Vicki Weisskopf, and Hans Bethe, all towering physicists beyond reproach. I was proud of what we did in a charged atmosphere. In the end the oversight committee, in its report to the APS President, noted the complete independence in which we did the job, and predicted that the report would be attacked from both sides. What greater tribute could there be?
How different it is now. The giants no longer walk the earth, and the money flood has become the raison d’être of much physics research, the vital sustenance of much more, and it provides the support for untold numbers of professional jobs. For reasons that will soon become clear my former pride at being an APS Fellow all these years has been turned into shame, and I am forced, with no pleasure at all, to offer you my resignation from the Society.
It is of course, the global warming scam, with the (literally) trillions of dollars driving it, that has corrupted so many scientists, and has carried APS before it like a rogue wave. It is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist. Anyone who has the faintest doubt that this is so should force himself to read the ClimateGate documents, which lay it bare. (Montford’s book organizes the facts very well.) I don’t believe that any real physicist, nay scientist, can read that stuff without revulsion. I would almost make that revulsion a definition of the word scientist.
So what has the APS, as an organization, done in the face of this challenge? It has accepted the corruption as the norm, and gone along with it. For example:
      1. About a year ago a few of us sent an e-mail on the subject to a fraction of the membership. APS ignored the issues, but the then President immediately launched a hostile investigation of where we got the e-mail addresses. In its better days, APS used to encourage discussion of important issues, and indeed the Constitution cites that as its principal purpose. No more. Everything that has been done in the last year has been designed to silence debate
      2. The appallingly tendentious APS statement on Climate Change was apparently written in a hurry by a few people over lunch, and is certainly not representative of the talents of APS members as I have long known them. So a few of us petitioned the Council to reconsider it. One of the outstanding marks of (in)distinction in the Statement was the poison word incontrovertible, which describes few items in physics, certainly not this one. In response APS appointed a secret committee that never met, never troubled to speak to any skeptics, yet endorsed the Statement in its entirety. (They did admit that the tone was a bit strong, but amazingly kept the poison word incontrovertible to describe the evidence, a position supported by no one.) In the end, the Council kept the original statement, word for word, but approved a far longer “explanatory” screed, admitting that there were uncertainties, but brushing them aside to give blanket approval to the original. The original Statement, which still stands as the APS position, also contains what I consider pompous and asinine advice to all world governments, as if the APS were master of the universe. It is not, and I am embarrassed that our leaders seem to think it is. This is not fun and games, these are serious matters involving vast fractions of our national substance, and the reputation of the Society as a scientific society is at stake.
      3. In the interim the ClimateGate scandal broke into the news, and the machinations of the principal alarmists were revealed to the world. It was a fraud on a scale I have never seen, and I lack the words to describe its enormity. Effect on the APS position: none. None at all. This is not science; other forces are at work.
      4. So a few of us tried to bring science into the act (that is, after all, the alleged and historic purpose of APS), and collected the necessary 200+ signatures to bring to the Council a proposal for a Topical Group on Climate Science, thinking that open discussion of the scientific issues, in the best tradition of physics, would be beneficial to all, and also a contribution to the nation. I might note that it was not easy to collect the signatures, since you denied us the use of the APS membership list. We conformed in every way with the requirements of the APS Constitution, and described in great detail what we had in mind—simply to bring the subject into the open.
      5. To our amazement, Constitution be damned, you declined to accept our petition, but instead used your own control of the mailing list to run a poll on the members’ interest in a TG on Climate and the Environment. You did ask the members if they would sign a petition to form a TG on your yet-to-be-defined subject, but provided no petition, and got lots of affirmative responses. (If you had asked about sex you would have gotten more expressions of interest.) There was of course no such petition or proposal, and you have now dropped the Environment part, so the whole matter is moot. (Any lawyer will tell you that you cannot collect signatures on a vague petition, and then fill in whatever you like.) The entire purpose of this exercise was to avoid your constitutional responsibility to take our petition to the Council.
      6. As of now you have formed still another secret and stacked committee to organize your own TG, simply ignoring our lawful petition.
APS management has gamed the problem from the beginning, to suppress serious conversation about the merits of the climate change claims. Do you wonder that I have lost confidence in the organization?
I do feel the need to add one note, and this is conjecture, since it is always risky to discuss other people’s motives. This scheming at APS HQ is so bizarre that there cannot be a simple explanation for it. Some have held that the physicists of today are not as smart as they used to be, but I don’t think that is an issue. I think it is the money, exactly what Eisenhower warned about a half-century ago. There are indeed trillions of dollars involved, to say nothing of the fame and glory (and frequent trips to exotic islands) that go with being a member of the club. Your own Physics Department (of which you are chairman) would lose millions a year if the global warming bubble burst. When Penn State absolved Mike Mann of wrongdoing, and the University of East Anglia did the same for Phil Jones, they cannot have been unaware of the financial penalty for doing otherwise. As the old saying goes, you don’t have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing. Since I am no philosopher, I’m not going to explore at just which point enlightened self-interest crosses the line into corruption, but a careful reading of the ClimateGate releases makes it clear that this is not an academic question.
I want no part of it, so please accept my resignation. APS no longer represents me, but I hope we are still friends.
      Hal

Moore in a red suit reminds me of an old episode of the series “Night Court” in which a lawer was asking about a ‘little guy in a red suit with horns on his head” and got his answer.

In the case of “Global Warming” and “Climate Change” it is indeed a big hoax, and the UN have more than admitted to such. If I remember the time correctly, there was talk in the 70s of a need to deal with “Global Cooling” and fears of an imminent major ice age coming.

Does this nimbus even check what you can see with your own eyes if the ice is melting at the north pole you would think he would have some proof.

Link above is the latest satilite image of the north pole taken by our own weather agency known as NOAA.

We do have the power to see to it that individuals of this nature, liberals in general, have a price to pay for deceiving the American people. We do have the power to insist that happens just as we insist as a society that murderers and thieves get expedited and rendered harmless to the best of our abilities and within reason.

It’s quite clear that “global warming” as we know it is for the most part a large and intricate scam that has been embraced by the UN as a mechanism to breathe life into their “New World Order” agenda. But to keep things clear, out of necessity, an evolution of sorts, liberalism grew dangerous teeth by way of their realization that the United States would never by popular vote concede to all that is the “New World Order” because to America, America was the “New World Order.” We should not lose sight of that and its significance of what has been destroyed by liberalism thus far and how we proceed from here.

Before liberalism redefined America, before it rebranded America in the image that best suited liberalism‘s rise to power and America’s decline, just as the Democratic Party is now attempting to rebrand themselves again in their “moveable feast” of anti-capitalism, anti-American activism, the United States was the “New World Order.” But liberalism has successfully hijacked that notion just as they did with the benevolence of environmentalism. Had they directed as much energy at creating a positive image of America as they did a negative image, they would have truths and facts behind their image building so that it would not have to be in a perpetual state of rebranding as the Democratic Party, as liberalism has over the decades become quite skilled at.

“Rebranding” is as natural to liberalism as a snake growing out of its skin, shedding it and exposing its newer and larger self as it passes from one era of its growth to the next. Is it any wonder then that in the Garden we were tempted by a Snake . . . an earthly being that has the ability to shed an image, one that begins to restrict it and serves it no good purpose but to grow a new one beneath?

You simply don’t rebrand something that people want, do you? You present your product out in the open; you make it easy to find, to touch, to squeeze, to try it and to purchase it. The people, the consumer, they decide if they want to return for more. If the product is constantly in need of a new wrapper because no one wants it a second time, after a while the business of “rebranding” must be recognized as a fraud, as a deception. The product inside the package has not changed; people are simply being deceived that it has. This is the only way to look at what the Democratic Party has become; they are a crime . . . just pick one.

The Tea Party then is the only entity left to insist that the Republican Party adapt and become active with this sentiment towards the Democratic Party as liberalism rebrands itself (again) going into 2011. “Global warming” is to be recognized as being one of the many things that must be put into proper context as we move toward 2012: Environmentalism was hijacked by liberals because they view it as a source of catastrophe and subsequently a convenient vehicle of “change.” As a result, environmental issues are always branded and promoted as “crisis” for a reason. And in our world, the one we occupy with liberals, “crisis” is the only mechanism of change here because in our world (America) we were already on a path of fulfillment. But that fulfillment was without their dominance. Their motivations for dominance drive them to desire the spoils of establishing themselves in God’s image: the final skin that they will shed as the ultimate goal of luring all in with a false image of liberalism, of salvation.

But can you think this way? Can you see with the clarity, the clarity of principled thought, of the Tea Party? Republicans . . . ? If there is to be the pestilence of snakes in our Garden, then shouldn’t we at least keep them in check . . . so that they stay small and do not grow too large? Does it not make sense then to remove the largest first and in descending order until they are but a population of harmless worms? Republican Party, can you see clearly . . . ? A new era is approaching; an image is being shed for a new one, larger, stronger . . . He calls himself Obama.

Global warming = the fear they wanted to use to steal our freedoms. Watch out for global cooling, soon that will be man made and require the same ““sacrifices””. It’s all about stealing from the American people. If that does not work it will be some virus or self induced famine. They want their 1 world government at any cost.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. It‘s funny when Senator’s show their ignorance. Especially when we have seen record cold temps the last 4-5 years. Face it, global warming is really just religion. Nothing to do with science or fact, but instead faith. It’s time they face the fact that the MAJORITY of scientists are skeptical of anthropomorphic global warming. Every time one of these idiots opens their mouth, they expose themselves for the morons that they are. Since it is a religion, it is unconstitutional to force any of this dogma down our throats.
