Death Threats Force Artist to Remove Controversial Obama Billboard

A controversial billboard depicting “four faces” of President Obama — a “terrorist, a gangster, an illegal immigrant and a gay man” — was taken down Friday after it stirred a lot of reaction in the Grand Junction, Co., area. The caricature also showed the president gambling with items such as the Bible and the U.S. Constitution.
According to local news reports, the artist and sign’s owner have received an outpouring of hate mail and even death threats since the billboard went up. As a result, the sign was quickly removed Friday morning.
The local Grand Junction Tea Party chapter says they are upset by the bullied censorship and “infringement on First Amendment rights” are plans to protest the removal of the billboard Saturday afternoon.

The irony is that a contract has been put out on Obama’s life as well as his families. That contract will be implemented IF Obama doesn’t follow his instructions from the PTB out of the London area who helped put him in power. Does anyone y think I’m crazy? Delusional?
Let me point out that Obama and the world was clearly shown that the contract could be done in the White House if they wanted it and almost anytime “convenient” time. Remember the couple who got past all the security and actually shook Obama’s hand? Or a few days later, when a woman tourist walked into an Obama breakfast (?) meeting. Just an accident? No way. The PTB sent a clear message to Obama.
Why would the PTB want to assasinate Obama? Notice how the Tea Party is demonized. What would happen if Obama was assasinated. There would be race riots, Tea Party person would be blamed/caught (of course it would be a fake Tea Party member), and Biden would be forced to declare a national emergency thus bringing martial law and suspension of our Constitution.
IF I wass a memebr of the immoral PTB, this would be a perfect plan to bring about chaos and a major step towards Global Govt.

Well, if this Indian icon was me, I would not mind a highway size billboard poster of me in the nude. I am acceptably attractive. However, this billboard would not last long, not because of objection to my nude body rather objection to the 200 car pileup on the highway caused by my billboard.
Content is what counts.
I fiercely defend our right to free speech. Christians would object to Jesus being portrayed and I would object to an American Indian being portrayed this way. However, I would not send out hate mail nor would I make death threats. I would adamantly defend this right to put up a billboard like this, while writing blistering critiques of the content.
Contrasting, if content of a billboard like this is truthful, I would not write a critique even if this truth hurt.
Obama is portrayed correctly but how Obama is depicted is a bit over the top. Nonetheless, this is excellent marketing and a good message which requires little reading; just right for drivers, certainly not going to cause a huge car pileup as my naked body would.
Addressing your conspiracy theory comments up there, give me some time to find my tin foil hat. I will get back to you.

Christians weren’t trying to kill the cartoonists over the despicable portrayals of Jesus in those episodes. But I bet the South Park guys were (and still are) looking over their shoulders after depicting Mohammed as a Teddy Bear.
Taking down the sign was a violation of the First Amendment Rights of the people who paid for it, whether we agree with it or not.

When was the last time you heard a conservative or a chistian issuing death threats when someone says or does something they dont like. I know muslims, extremists & otherwise have been doing this for a long time, seems others are taking thier lead huh. A natural extention of silencing oppostion by enforcing politican correctness over the last few decades. The First Amendment reduced to “as long as I agree” And 1/2 the friggin republicans have to go too. John McCain, Sen Snow, Collins, Swartzenegger & the rest of them that goes along with this nonsense.

With all due respect, Molly Norris was an idiot to think encouraging Americans to mock Mohammed in the name of free speech was a smart move. He is the prophet for millions of law-abiding Muslims, and furthermore they take that far more seriously. I don’t see anyone here defending the artist whose Jesus sex artwork was just destroyed in Colorado.
I am just glad Molly Norris is a Liberal, not a conservative. I believe we should have respect for all religions equally here – as long as they are equally respectful to our religious beliefs.

Stand up for yourselves, when bullies run into someone who will not back down they run away scared. If someone threatened me I would take it very serious, I would get the law involved to prosecute the individual and I would check to make sure that my gun is at the ready.

We still have the freedom of expression in this country – so long as threats of physical or mental harm are not involved. If someone did not like the billboard, just object peacefully and then move on.
