Death Toll Rises for Russian Police and Security Troops Fighting Islamist Insurgency in Caucasus

Russian Southern Caucasus Violence Leads to at Least 24 Deaths

(The Blaze/AP) Russian police say the number of police officers killed in a four-day operation to wipe out several militant bands in the volatile Caucasus republics of Chechnya and Dagestan has increased to 17.

The fighting is some of the bloodiest and most sustained reported in the region in recent months. A police spokesman for the Caucasus region said Saturday that another 24 officers had been wounded.

Police say three rebel bands, totaling 50 to 100 militants, have been blocked by police in the Nozhai-Yurt area of Chechnya and an adjacent part of Dagestan. The police spokesman, who declined to give his name, did not say how many rebels had been killed, but officials told the Associated Press Friday that at least 20 had died. Police told Reuters that at least seven insurgents were killed in the four days of fighting.

The Russian Caucasus has been destabilized by an Islamic insurgency that spread across the region after two separatist wars in Chechnya.

    “Fighting Islamist Insurgency in Caucasus.”

    We here in America are having a similar problem in our “caucuses.” We have an Insurgency at work called the Ron Paul Revolution. It’s the Ron Paul cult for freedom, liberty, peace, prosperity, free love, drugs, and pacifism. Sounds retro ‘60’s and nostalgic doesn’t it? Who wouldn’t want that right?

    But like radical Islam (which is a fan favorate of the Paul Revolution it seems) it’s “gives itself” the right and ability to lie to your face to gain momentum for it’s cause and ideology. Our delegate system is flawed and these overzealous radical insurgents have no problem exploiting that and using it to their advantage. It sounds almost leftist in it‘s approach doesn’t it? Well, it is. We are dealing with the product of the Liberal education system and years of Liberal indoctrination of our youth. A nation of self-important, self-aggrandizing, self-centered materialists who support the world indifference and naivete of Ron Paul. Make no mistake about it (if their politics are any indication) they will throw you, your family and your neighbors under the bus to get what they want. Like Obama and his minnions, they will attempt to throw the “United” States under the bus for their radicalized ideology.

    Like radical Islam, Obama and the left, it seems the Ron Paul left has no problem with liars and cheats to get what he wants. He encourages it. Sad way to conduct a campaign for POTOS and America.

      Here’s my take on what you say: I have no fear of listening to another’s opinions. I don’t fully understand your position. Some of the things you say do sound counter to socialism. A problem with some of the people who criticize you is that they have made their decisions and shut off their ears and brains.

      You say that Ron Paul is like Obama and other socialists? I don’t get your connection. I too detest socialists. They are basically Bolshevics. Ron Paul advocates constitutional principles with a strong libertarian bent. This is strongly counter to the left, and the right. Remember, many staunch conservatives are statists; they believe in using government power to fight their enemies. Well, this is in the end, is very much socialist!

      It is a very fine line to walk. Ron Paul can have some indications of the hippie, free-love attitude, no doubt. The reason a lot of baby-boomer independents (ie., former hippy generation voters) like Ron Paul is that he speaks some of their language. Ron Paul, after all, is very anti-war. But if anyone reads the Constitution, the wars we have fought since basically WWII have ALL been unconstitutional. Congress must declare war. The POTUS is NOT a king; he does not get to unilaterally go to war!!

      Because Iran is not Sunni and yet Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Libya and Palestinians are well over 90% Muslim Sunni. Iran is only about 9% Sunni and stands in the way of unified Muslims world. Syria is well over 74% Sunni but has a leader (Assad) who is not Sunni but is Alawi. Assad’s 12% Alawi controls the 74% Sunni and that is why the Arab league wants him out. So in effect you have two problems to solve before the Caliphate can take control. One is to get rid of Assad and his 12% Await’s, and the other is to liquidate Iran’s 89% Shi’a population. In Iran the Christian, Jew and Sunni are not allowed to run for president. The first thing on the agenda is to kill Assad and his Await government and give it to the Sunni. Then all of the Sunni’s can liquidate the minorities. Then you have the well digger back in power. But if Iran ends up with the big bomb then we have a horse of another color. Russia hates the Sunni so is making bed with their enemy who is Iran and Syria.

    There really is nothing that you can do to fight Islam. The Russians have been very tough on the Chechnyans, but they keep fighting, because it is their religion, their r e l i g i o n. So why again is the West allowing Islam within our borders? The West is committing suicide allowing the spread of Islam in our countries. We must stop and reverse and end the spread of Islam in the West or the West will eventually cease to exist.
