Debate Audience Boos Moderator for Questioning Cain About Harassment Allegations

ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Businessman Herman Cain is continuing to defend himself against accusations that he sexually harassed women when he led a Washington trade group more than a decade ago.

Cain says at a Republican presidential debate Wednesday that the American people “deserve better than someone being tried in the court of public opinion based on unfounded accusations.”

Cain says that since the allegations surfaced more than a week ago, “voters have voted with their dollars,” and supported his campaign.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was asked about the allegations against Cain. Romney says Cain has responded to the questions and “people can make their own assessment.”

The questions about the Cain allegations generated boos from the audience at Oakland University.

MSM has obviously gotten together with the party establishment and all the rinos, and decided that a black man who is not only conservative, but has a viable tax reform plan is not to be tolerated. Why can’t they let the people decide who to vote for?????Hmmmmm???? Smells like Soros(spooky dud).

Whitefall, I had a very successful business, where many people knew who I was, but I had no idea who they were. They were customers of my business. Unless I’d seen them many times, in doing the course of business with them, I wouldn’t have been able to recognize them.

Herman Cain is a very intelligent man. He‘s a number’s guy, as I‘m a number’s woman. Number’s people like absolutes. We like that 2 + 2 always equals 4. We are NOT touchy feely type of people, where mentally ill, gay person, wants 2 + 2 to equal 5. We know that if you have two of something, and another two of the same thing, you have four of that thing, not five.

Nice try Diane TX.It doesn’t make sense. Read the entire Glenn Beck interview, Cain knew exactly who she was and why they were speaking. He was engaged in the conversation and spent time speaking to her with his security in check. He certainly didn’t stand there and watch her fake a conversation with her self. He said he had never SEEN her before, again what motive does a conservative radio talk show host have to make up a story like this? to get an interview with Beck? Like I said He lied,

It’s pretty clear to me that the lefties are trying to turn Herman Cain into some kind of “Black” sexual predator of White women. Someone, previously, has posted a comment about a “White” love child. How can that be? Herman Cain is a Black man. The child would have been half Black. This whole thing is completely ridiculous, and that‘s why I don’t believe a word of it. Soon, the DNC will have 50 or maybe a hundred WHITE women claiming that “scary” Black man, Herman Cain made sexual advances on them.

Barack Obama doesn’t want to run against Herman Cain because Herman Cain is an authentic Black America. Cain is a self-made man who’s mother was a maid, and his father worked as a janitor. Herman Cain IS the American Dream. Barack Obama is the American nightmare.

Isn’t that the truth. Cain really did come from humble roots and pulled himself up. He’s a perfect example of the American dream. Obama hung out with Marxists his whole life. Where has the guy ever actually worked? Sounds like he’s been in academia his whole life.

But this is what the left always does, right? They take good, decent, successful people like Herman Cain, Clarence Thomas, or Sarah Palin and drag them through the mud and try to destroy them. People like this should be an example to young people of what you can become in America. Instead, the left celebrates the alleged rapist Bill clinton, the alleged crazed sex poodle Algore, and John “I cheat on my dying wife and father a bastard child” Edwards.

Up is down, down is up in today’s America. Really quite sad.

Haven’t you ever heard of something being “staged” In front of a convenient witness? A person says “something” (unknown) to another person, and storms off. The witness only sees the person going up to the other person, and being hugged. The person storms away from the other person.

The witness has no knowledge of what was said between the two people. Herman Cain could have said – Thank you for your support. If it was staged, she could have pretended that she was angry. Since the witness couldn’t hear what was said – it really doesn’t matter.

I don’t know if Herman Cain is clean or not, but the stories these women (if you can call them that) are far from the grand bombshell to destroy a candidate from remaining in contention, and as Herman said, for each allegation I have thousands of people that will say the opposite. I am sure that after this length of time, if they were real, there would be several men coming forward to say this or that was said or mentioned about this or that woman behind their back, because as nice as Herman is, I am sure there has to be a select few that don’t like him (that’s just nature). Since there hasn’t been anything, he has my vote and the boos and applause proves people are not only done, but tired of the smear tactics by whoever it may be.

There are thousands of people that could be potential leaders, in this country, that have never harmed another human being out of anger, jealousy or greed. However, we are limited to these few, because they have the wealth to fund campaigns.
I would hope, as people of what used to be a great nation (and still could be) that, if it were to come out that he did do these horrible things, that we could find a better person to be president. That is, if voting really works.

      @ Argumentum

Yes it’s very common. The costs of Attorney fees, Court fees, and time wasted exceeds the costs of just paying the accuser to go away. My small business was attacked by one of these low life type of people. She was mad that she didn’t get a choice assignment, so she lied and lied. When her first attempt failed, she went to the EEOC and said that we were a racist Company that refused to hire Blacks – which was very strange since a Black man worked for our Company for many years. Also, many of our customers were Black people. The racist complaint went nowhere, but the EEOC still insisted that they would take us to Court, (apparently because she wasn’t elevated to a position she wanted).

Anyway, it was just less expensive to pay her a few thousand, and never hear from her again.

      Argumentum …

      Yes
Nutshell law (Less than 1500 characters)
There is a saying in the business world, ‘Avoid litigation at all costs.’
That birthed a blooming legal industry known as mitigation.
In the mitigation process, the mitigator (usually an attorney or retired judge) convenes a meeting with both parties in separate conference areas and listens to the claims.
Evidence can be produced by both parties, but usually the mitigator simply listens, then moves from one conference area to the other and negotiates a settlement agreeable to both parties.
The entire process can take hours or even days, but it is more cost effective for both parties then litigation.

Arbitration is another process, where judges adjudicate cases with both litigants presenting their argument to the court.
In arbitration, professional witnesses are called upon to inject opinion related to the resolution of the matter.
The judge makes the final decision, not the litigators.
Oddly, neither party is bound by the judgment, even though the judgment is considered a court order.
(Probably get some feedback for the last sentence, but I’ve seen it happen several times)

A settlement is just that … Take this money and go away
