Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Republicans ‘Rooting for Economic Failure’

Democratic National Committee chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) on Sunday accused Republicans of “rooting for economic failure.”

Her remarks came on the heels of a weak jobs report that said 120,000 net jobs were created last month, down from more than 200,000 in each of the three previous months.

“What’s really bothersome to me Candy is that it almost seems like my Republican colleagues in Congress and Mitt Romney are rooting for economic failure,” Wasserman Schultz said, singling out GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

She added, “I mean, they’ve been hyper-focused on one job, Barack Obama’s, for really the last two years.”

Instead, everyone needs to focus on moving the economy forward for “the middle class and for working families,” she said.

“Mitt Romney’s plans, the Republican budget take they just put out in the House, they’re focused on making sure millionaires and billionaires can continue to do even better, and that’s a pretty huge contrast,” Wasserman Schultz said.

    So let me get this straight, Obummer said in a speech last week that taxes have not been raised, even though he was complaining he wanted to raise taxes on the rich, then 2 days later he was talking about how the economy was improving.
    How can taxes not be raised and then have the economy improve? This goes against their theories.

Myself, wife, 3 sons and 3 daughter in-laws all Democrats voted for Obama and we don’t like the change and have given up on Hope. I know 8 votes he won’t get again because we have all been affected. At Obamas rate + almost 2 trillion $$$ for Obamacare in 4 more years we will reach $23 terillion on our National Debt.

      What a lot of the Republicans are doing is warning that the path we are headed down is one that ends in disaster, and are at least saying that something needs to be done.       Well, I, for one, am not roting for economic failure, but I know what she knows: she’s getting out ahead of the next recession. They’re natural, cyclical, and therefore predictable. You can go back every four to eight years from now to the founding of the nation and see them. One to two every decade, like clockwork, there’s a supercycle every 70 or so years.

      All you need to see it is to go back and look at the recessions since the beginning of the Depression, and you’l see it: 1929, 1937-8, 1948-9, 1953-4, 1957-8, 1960-1, 1969-70, the ‘70’s oil crisis and Carter, 1981-82, S&L failures in the late ‘80’s (caused by, *surprise, surprise!* imprudent real estate lending practices), “the worst economy since the great depression” 1992, the .com bubble burst in 2000, 2001 (unnaturally caused by 9/11), 2008, and… when?

      Now you know what DWS and I know. It‘s been 4 years and we’re due. Something tells me she’s seen actual info (rather than what the Administration’s propaganda arm is releasing) on a tanking market and is trying to get our ahead of it in her messaging. In other words, do you remember when in 2006, the Dems ran (again) on “the worst economy since the great depression?” They saw the info that led to 2008 and ran on it.

      Oh, and DWS? I know a loyal party line regurgitator like you was vomiting the “worst economy since the great depression” in 2006, so don‘t try to BS us into believing you weren’t rooting for collapse on Bush’s watch.

      The reason to keep bringing it up is because Peter Schiff and Ron Paul are both Austrian Economists, and they were both right about the housing crash – Ron Paul predicted it in 2001.

      Which means that since they know what causes economic crashes – and since Bush, Obama, Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, or Bernanke do NOT know what causes economic crashes – unless you vote for Ron Paul as President, it will not matter whether or not Obama is President because they will all make the economy worse.

      The economic corrections must come, but the more government tries to help, the longer the recession will be.

    It is a slow process of control. It is bad for those who want control when people have freedom of movement, making if difficult forthem to congregate, recognize and stand against tyranny. Those wanting control want the guns, the media, the phones, the Ipods, any ways to communicate, share ideas or prepare for the crunch of peoples freedoms. Those wanting control stir up hatred and strife, then use this as a “reason” to crack down. The prices control many things for the co-dependent on society. Dependency insures the hate mongers of getting a segment of the population who are scared and who will follow them out of fear. The drug epidemic may not have been as diconnected from what is happening for control. Drugs hobble many people who otherwise would have produced instead of destroyed. It seems like a pattern in the overall scheme of things. We do have, more than ever, an evil working to remold followers into their image. There are those who through ignorance and/or greed who will follow those who are just plain evil. These are working together to destroy any good in our society. Why? There is evil and destruction of good is what evil does.

      Aren’t Democrats embarrassed to have this woman as their spokesperson? If I were a Democrat, I’d change parties because of her. She’s like a Chatty Cathy — you pull her string and the same talking points randomly spew out of her mouth.

    Funny how when things go bad for this administration, somehow the Republicans are “orchestrating” it. The whole GSA is now the fault of…..you guessed it, George Bush. This is the most immature President that we’ve ever had. Nothing is their fault. Who has a war on the very system that made this the greatest nation in history?     This politician is such a loud-mouthed, irritating, lying bunny (for easter). The shrill of her voice is like the fingernails on the chalkboard. I never get to hear the ludicrous things she says, just the skreeching of her shrilly voice.

      I think she has a deviated septum. Just a guess knowing what liberals like to stick up their noses. Along with the mental disorder of liberalism which causes her head to be continually stuck up her septic tank.
