Dem Congressman: Illegal Aliens are ‘De Facto Citizens’

During debate over the DREAM Act Wednesday, Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., blames a “broken” immigration system for allowing illegal immigrants to live in the United States, calling them “de facto citizens.”

Ignore that whole “illegal” tidbit.  They have “pluck.”

SJJB is exactly right. This is not about a humanitarian effort, it is not about dealing with an illegal immigration problem, it is not about cheap labor. It is about shoring up a waning lib/dem vote. Lib/dems can not persuade citizens with a better political argument. It is about little sub groups of malcontents and building a base of future voters who have no right to be voters. Let the bribery and the vote buying begin. Cheating is the only way that libs can keep their power. If you can’t convince the voters that are citizens..just make a group of new voters.

Did this clown say “Follow the rules of this nation”? Will someone please give this clown a drug test, because he must be on something. Hey dumb A** if they followed the rules of this nation there would be no need for you to be making a fool out of yourself. They would have waited in their country, had a family member petition them , sponsor them and come here when their turn was up. This is why these clowns are F.U.B.A.R What a tool.

please quit using the word “clown” clowns are people too, and you cheapen their role as beloved AMERICAN institutions of hilarity and overall amusement. Perhaps you are one of these “clownists” i read about inthe local super-saver magazine. You probably will not own up to your irrational hatred of the clowns. You will probably say something like ” Clownist?? why, some of my bests friends are clowns! ” But we all know it’s not true. You laugh and have a merry old time at the circus, but see one on the side of the road with car trouble, you and i both know that you ain‘t stoppin’ to help. What if your daughter married a clown and had children who were half clown? How would you feel then? What if you saw someone degrade a clown at work with one of those disgusting clown jokes (which people never tell without first making sure there are no clowns around) Would you let them know that your grandchild is half clown and you don’t appreciate their humor?? Clowns are just like you and me, man. Except with makeup, red noses, rainbow wigs and big-ass shoes.

Illegal immigration versus regular old fashioned Ellis Island immigration

I made the trip to Ellis Island three years ago, it was humbling.
I recommend everyone go there, take a silent moment and pay homage to those whom passed thru that gate long ago, remembering that many of us have descended from that passageway, to the lives we live today.
Those who passed thru Ellis Island became the backbone of America; they did not come here for handouts, they were here for the opportunity to work hard for a new; LIFE, LIBERTY, the PRUSUIT of HAPPINESS and most of all of FREEDOM.
These people did not protest and demand entry, they followed the rules, same rules we should have today.
I am sure they waited impatiently in line, for the chance to become an American. They did not crawl under a fence, through a tunnel, swim a river, hide in a truck, trunk of a car, or in any way enter this country illegally. They just did the right thing, they followed the rules.

    http://www.unc.edu/~perreira/198timeline.html

The 1960’s changed the countries attitude towards immigration, as the country became more liberal so did the immigration policies. But the 1980’s really started the mess we are in today.
It should be no surprise Jimmy Carter was involved in some of the most destructive changes to the countries immigration policies. See below,
In 1980, thousands of Cuban citizens begged for a way to leave their country. American president Jimmy Carter agreed to accept the people who wanted to leave Cuba. Castro opened the port of Mariel to anyone who wanted to leave, but he was surprised and embarrassed by the number of people who accepted his offer.
Castro saw an opportunity. He kept his agreement to allow citizens to leave from Mariel, but he insisted they take everyone. Castro emptied his prisons and discharged some of the sickest people from his hospitals. The Americans could either turn away exiled Cubans who had been waiting to embrace their families, or they could take the bad along with the good. America chose the second course, and accepted more than 125,000 Cubans. Castro stopped the exodus, but families continue to attempt to leave. They often resort to any boat or raft that could get them to the United States. Many perished at sea.
One of the worst policies of Ronald Regan; in 1986 was to effectively grant amnesty to those here illegally since 1982, this reinforced the sneak in to this country and get a free pass bonanza.

I marvel at the brilliance of Castro, and later in time Vicente Fox of Mexico, and other Caribbean leaders. They realized the opportunity to rid their countries of a high percentage of the lower class, criminals, chronically poor, chronically ignorant, etc. so they did. That is brilliance, genius, and forward thinking, they took bold steps to save their countries.

If you could imagine, what just the tax reduction to American taxpayers would be if, the USA were to export just our prison population to say, anywhere else. How about we export all the chronically poor and criminal class to other shores? Castro and ET all realized what the cost reductions would be. We were and are stupid and corrupt enough to welcome their human debris with open arms. It should be no surprise; the Mexican government does not want them back.

So let this cook for 20 years; results look at the Border States in the southwest, just look at the current mess. Look at any statistics from that part of the country.

These humans sneaking across our borders are not the best of the best, they offer no measurable contribution to the USA society, they are not scientist, engineers, teachers, professionals, and they are the lowest that Mexico et all has to offer, and wishes to get rid of.

So I ask why these illegal aliens are so valuable.
What contributions will the lowest common denominator of humanity going to make to this country?
    Will they learn the language?
Will they try to become legal citizens?
Will they obey the laws? (Never mind that pesky crossing the border law it is for the next guy)
Look at the carnage in the West and ask your self why anyone would want this human debris folded into any society?
Do we not already have a burdensome underclass breeding out of control, and spiraling this country into bankruptcy?
So now what we are going to create another class of super stupid, chronically poor for the taxpayers to take care of? How about press 1 for welfare in Spanish, 2 for English, 3 for other?
AND last but not least they are here ILLEGALLY that is why they are called ILLEGAL ALIENS.

When did we cash in our brains for the comfortably numb of stupidity?

My point isn’t that calling them de facto Americans is not substantially the same as defacto citizens. But quotation marks mean something. At least they used to. They are supposed to mean that these are the actual words spoken, ver batum, not a paraphrase or interpretation.

I’m not accusing anyone of deception. It’s just sloppy editing. But it’s sloppiness that could be easily fixed. If you have quotes in a story make sure the quotes are 100% accurate when you can verify them.

Our government is clueless. Misfeasant and Malfeasant is the best way to describe the United States Government’s handling of border security and illegal immigration. Our politicians fail to understand that, no law that they can pass, no amount of Border Patrol Agents or National Guardsmen on the Border will stop illegal immigration and the threat on our national sovereignty.

The answer? As long as there is “Hope”, illegal immigrants will continue to come, they will continue to take the necessary risks associated with illegal entry into the United States. Take away their “Hope” and illegal immigration will trickle to a stop. We can take away that “Hope” by taking away the jobs. If our government is so eager to pass legislation, pass legislation that will make employing illegal immigrants so horribly dangerous that they simply will not do it. Corporate as well as personal asset forfeiture for employers that benefit from illegal labor. Horrendous fines per illegal immigrant found to be employed. Take away the jobs and illegal immigrants will have no more reason to come, take away the jobs and we will not have to worry about “How” to remove millions of illegal immigrants already in the United States as they will self deport when they have no more jobs.

The “Myth” that illegal immigrants come here to do the work Americans don’t want to do is simply that…a “Myth”. They come here to do the jobs that employers are unwilling to pay an American a decent wage to do. Take away that “Paid Slave Labor” of the illegal immigrant and employers will be forced to employ United States citizens and LEGAL residents under the protection of the nations labor laws. That will of course, raise prices but, why not pay 25 cents more a pound for tomatoes rather than steep health insurance premiums to cover uninsured illegal immigrant health care. High car insurance to cover “Uninsured Motorist” (Illegal immigrant) drivers, and higher local and school taxes to educate illegal immigrant children. Then, maybe our Border Patrol can manage our borders they way they should.

Border Security and illegal immigration can happen tomorrow but, not with any plan our government has put forth so far.

      Posted on December 8, 2010 at 9:51pm

Forcing employers to employ United States citizens and LEGAL residents will reduce unemployment, working Americans are less of a burden on social services, working Americans pay taxes reducing the deficit. Then, if there is still a need for “Imported” labor, willing applicants can list themselves with the U.S. Consulate in their country allowing background checks on applicants ensuring we are not allowing criminals to enter the United States. Once approved, U.S. employers can request “X” amount of employees by location. Work Visas can then be issued for cleared applicants to enter and work in the United States. We will then know who, when, where, and why a foriegn national is entering the United States, where they will be, and what they will be doing. After a pre-determined period of time, if the worker has abided by the laws of the United States, they can then apply to adjust their status to a legal resident and ultimately U.S. citizenship providing that “Path to Citizenship”

Then why do legal (That is Legal obeyed all the rules and laws) have to pay $400. 00 or $600.00 to apply for citizenship. Why do they have to wait and take tests to be able to become a citizen. Is the Dems going to just give the legal Aliens citizens citizenship?? I don’t think so… yet those who come here under the cover and are law breakers are defacto citizens. How very insulting and demeaning to those who obeyed the rules and laws and hve to pay a huge amount and jump through all the hoops!!

That is a real shame! Where do these people come from how can they even think like that?? This really pi_ses me off. How on earth did these people get elected??

@TXPILOT I have been saying this same thing for years – our border is so porous and anyone could sneak anything across the border. One of my kids works in San Antonio in one of the big malls and I pray everyday that no one with a suitcase nuke doesn’t let it off in that mall. http://maboulette.wordpress.com

And I would be proud to see you open your wallet and finance a hundred or so illegals so I don’t have to. PINHEAD!

This man is a traitor to his oath of office… Our immigration system is not “broken.” It simply hasn’t been enforced. Our government is broken for trying to shove this mass amnesty to our complete detriment down our throats!
