Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., is on a mission to make Barack Obama “a better president.”
“I’m sure he realized what he was getting into,” Conyers said Monday during a speech to the National Press Club. “He tried to close Guantanamo; he was against tax cuts to the wealthy; we keep getting a longer and longer list of things that he wanted to do, wished he could do, and of course is having a big problem.”
“The only thing that saves him, of course, is there doesn’t seem to be anybody to run against him next year,” Conyers admitted.
But in preparing for Obama’s 2012 reelection bid, Conyers says a Republican victory is “unthinkable,“ and ”I just want to make him a better president.”
As part of these efforts, Conyers announced plans to try re-branding “ObamaCare,” President Obama’s landmark health care overhaul law which a majority of Americans would like to see repealed. Holding up a red-and-white button that read, “I [heart logo] ObamaCare,“ Conyers said he hoped to turn the ”derogatory“ ObamaCare label into a political victor ”the president will be remembered for.”
“We not only proclaim that we love ObamaCare, but there are 62 reasons for you to at least like it, somewhere among the 62,” the Judiciary Ranking Democrat and Dean of Congressional Black Caucus declared.
In addition, Conyers noted his support for ObamaCare as a “platform” for a building single-payer health system in the U.S.

Posted on March 15, 2011 at 9:17pmYep, that’s the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. there is NO one to run against Obama next year. Romney will be a disaster, do some minor research, he got his money as a corporate raider, squeezing the life and jobs out of companies. Palin – just ain’t got it. The people that should run won’t, they don’t see wasting political capital on a mid term election which has the real potential of seeing Obama continue in office another four years. Political correctness will win him the election. no one dass say anything because it will be turned into “racial bias” and no matter what he does to the black population of this country, outside of beginning to shoot them, he has their vote – so he’s got an automatic 13% of the popular vote to start. White people are afraid not to vote for him, they‘ll be racist and the guilt of people they aren’t even and never were related to makes them shy. the Latino vote is his because he will let the hordes of illegals in and they are their “brothers and sisters”, never mind the reason they came here was to enjoy the benefits of the American Way of Life, that is becoming just like “back home” which they fled.

Posted on March 15, 2011 at 9:18pmthe only test required is that you be old enough. Let’s not drag up that you need to prove citizenship. and looking at congress, you surely don’t even have to be able to read.

Posted on March 15, 2011 at 2:19pmDid he finish reading the bill? Just keep selling people down the tube. Folks, not one person who knows anything about the Health Care would support it…not one. I have one warning about this kind of worm…Don’t leave your mother laying around.
