Dem Rep: Pelosi is the One Holding Tax Cuts Hostage

Rep. Dan Boren (D-OK) has a theory about the tax rate debate: it’s actually Nancy Pelosi holding “tax cuts” hostage.
In an interview with Greta Van Susteren Thursday night, the Dem. Rep. said that since Pelose is running counter to the Obama administration and the American people by refusing to bring the president’s tax compromise to the House floor, she is to blame.

Rep. Boren: The Speaker. The Speaker agreed. There was a motion by one of the members of the caucus today to say let’s put this off. Let’s not do this package that the White House and senate Republicans came up with. Let’s come up with our own package. Well, we had that vote last week and guess what? It failed.

I don’t understand how adding a trillion dollars of national debt in order to maintain current tax rates is of any use to us. It is obvious this is the reason the budget was delayed. They wanted to see how this tree would shake out. A well oiled plan if you ask me. They have generated so much in unfunded liabilities over the past two years even the amount we are talking about is not enough to cover the bills.

I believe that they are going to try to blame the republicans, saying ” that since they did not extend the tax cuts that they were the cause of this continued economic hardship.” If you think about it they are screwed either way, this economy has yet to hit bottom. Hunker down my fellow Americans, it is only when we are under fire, does our love for each other fully manifest itself. Wish this was not true.
