Posted on November 6, 2010 at 3:49pmAt least he was smart eough to get people who knew about things he didn’t know of. A man who was proud of his country, as was his wife. At least she was proud of it without her husband having to be president. And not saying anything about incoming presidant right after leaving office showed some class, at least to me.

Posted on November 6, 2010 at 2:39pmSee he gets it, he knows that most Tea Party Supporters didn’t support his policies either, but he understands how the country works and that it is working. See he is smarter than he is given credit for. I didn’t support him as President, but I never disrespected him and now that I’ve seen the Obama-nation alternative, I would just like to apologize to President Bush. He’s a gentleman and acts presidential unlike the current president.

Posted on November 6, 2010 at 1:33pmThe Tea Party and people like Sarah Palin, Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh are a great part of what is trying to save this great country. God bless them all, I absolutely love the Tea Party, nor will they stop until Obama is gone. Obama HATES the Tea Party, he says they are a nuisance but he scared to death of the movement. He is also scared to death of Glen Beck and he knows we all know it. I bet he hides behind his desk everytime Glen is on at 5 pm. Ha! Ha! Oh yes, I love the Tea Party movement, may they never go away. Sorry Barry Obama, your day of departure is nearing and you damn well know it. “Your leaving on a fast plane, don‘t know when you’ll be back again”. Hopefully for this country, you will never return.

I would go to see him whenever he was in town here in Grand Rapids, MI – - > the crowd would be fired up, he’d be walking around speaking with a perfect Texas eloquence – - < Then he would get on TV and sound STUPID! he's like the Anti Obama! who sounds brilliant with a Teleprompter and a camera, but Dumb as box of rocks without one!
I think I can speak for the Tea Party on this one.

Posted on November 6, 2010 at 12:16pmBush is an ignorant tool who does not understand the difference between crony-capitalism and the free market. He increased the federal government’s control of k-12 education, and health care. He brought us to the edge of insolvency paving the way for Obama to finish the Cloward and Piven strategy of bringing down the government to bring on world wide communism.
His smirky smile makes him look like a little boy who got caught in the cookie jar, but knows if he looks cute enough, he won’t get punished.
Report Post »NoStar
Posted on November 6, 2010 at 3:01pmAlso note that Bush’s comments were favorable about people getting more involved in politics. He said nothing about the small government ideals that fuel the tea parties. Obviously, he does not share the concerns of tea parties.
You have to give him an A+ on a diplomatic answer that evades the question skillfully.

Posted on November 6, 2010 at 3:26pmMaybe so, but the one thing he was always very consistent about was peoples’ constitutional right to peaceably gather and protest what they thought was wrong. Even with the one lone woman who day after day would stand outside his home in Texas and protest him, he would continually defend her right to stand out there and protest, despite not agreeing with her ideology. That does say a lot about his character.

Posted on November 6, 2010 at 11:58amI was reared in TEXAS, conceived and born there actually. I LOVE George Bush. He is a good, GODLY man, sincere and kind. He is not “slick”. What you see is what you get. How blessed we were to have him and to still have him around. That he has remained silent through the debacle which followed his Presidency states in no uncertain terms that he IS a man of honor. His behavior lends dignity to the office of President. There are three other presidents running a muck these days whose words and actions do anything but dignify that high office. One’s currently loose in Asia (meeting up with his “old best friend” you can bet) and the other two are probably in bunkers somewhere awaiting whatever destruction is planned for us. Mr. Bush’s father is not one of those three. Breaking news idjits: “Our GOD is aware. HE does not sleep nor does HE slumber, and HE IS protecting HIS kids!” Thank you, Mr. Bush for your sacrifices, your prayers for and your faith in AMERICA. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU AND MRS. BUSH SAFE AND WELL AND IN HIS ARMS. Amen!

Posted on November 6, 2010 at 4:31pmGW Bush was decent, moral, and made it once again acceptable to love God openly and to be polite to one’s political opponents. I‘ll tell you why I didn’t hound GW Bush when he was in office. I didn’t watch him closely, nor help by writing as many conservative letters as I did when Clinton was President or during Obama’s time. With Bush, I thought, “Sigh! Now I can rest! There are adults in the White House. They will take care of us.” But, now I write letters all the time. We need to send conservative messages to the establishment Republicans to help them remember reality. It must be difficult for a good guy to keep perspective while in DC. I think we should learn from Bush and be polite. It makes the fight fair. We have the truth; they get to be rude. I don’t like some of the rude jokes that I hear from the conservatives. Simply keep speaking the truth, folks!

A Democracy allows a simple majority to run rough shot over the simple minority, while a Republic gives the People the chance to examine what their representatives are doing and maybe come up with a better representative the next time around, while also freeing up the People’s time so that they can focus on being productive for themselves.

Posted on November 6, 2010 at 11:31amIsn’t it odd that this former president praises the Tea Party as a healthy function of our democracy; the Tea Party, which has been quite critical of him on certain issues we should add.
And then, on the other hand, we have Bill Clinton that believes the Tea Party, rallying behind the Constitution, is filled with idiocy, of misinformed fools that and hate government as he put in the Poltico on September 20th of this year:
“The problem is that if you look at the financial energy behind the tea party movement, it’s not about restricting abuse of big public and private power. It’s about destroying the role of government in our life so that private centers of power will be untrammeled, and I don’t think that’s good for average Americans.”
Mr. Clinton, as intelligent as you think you are, and as all liberals do, you fail to recognize the essence of the Constitution that we defend. The Constitution Mr. Clinton is all about “restricting abuse of power.” Restricting the abuse of power is the essence of the Tea Party; stopping the abuse of power, where ever it’s found including yours and Mr. Obama’s corruptions. It’s really that simple, Mr. Clinton.

Posted on November 7, 2010 at 10:15amI just hope the republicans this time go back to the core values of the Constitution of the United States.
The people have made it quiet clear in this election. Bush I have always liked as a person and President. How many people in his country could ever imagine Laura Bush traveling to Spain, when there are 10′s of millions of people unemployed? And then go to Maine for another 10 day vacation, and now you have India. I wonder if she is proud of America now, since the people working are PAYING the bills.
Laura and George Bush would have been exciled to Aruba the next day.
But guess what you can always say racism, or the republicans did it. But the truth is simple when you look at what we have spent and the state of the United States currently.
And as far as healthcare when was the last time you ever heard of doors in Congress locks being changed so dems had a private place? And all the deals made behind closed doors. And finally on the election, take a moment and check who voted for the healthcare bill as far as dems and see how they did they fair???????????
Make no mistake the people of the US did make the right call this election. And the people of the United States did say simply enough STOP.
Just my opinion.

Posted on November 7, 2010 at 10:31amParadigmm: The Bush hater post has merit but like any good liberal tries to pin everything on Bush. Bush did not (did not) de-regulate the bank. If you actually looked it up you would had seen it was CLINTON and the congress who did the big deregualtion in 1999. So, please remember this and try not to misinform next time.
Report Post »Also, like a good liberal you mix up regulators not doing their versus de-regulation. Stop drinking the Kool Aid and read for yourself. We live in an era where regulators are bought and paid for and more laws won’t do a darn thing.
Paradigmm
Posted on November 7, 2010 at 4:10pmArden, as you correctly point out it was the Clinton’s administrations economic advisor Larry Summers who diligently worked on removing regulations which allowed the start of the financial collapse. But I didn’t say Bush was at fault, only that he “helped”. He helped by putting the final nails in the coffin when his economic advisor Edward Lazeer pointed out the flaws and potential problems to come yet Bush did nothing to correct it.
Report Post »And it’s not that I’m a Bush hater, I’m and “establishment” hater! I am just fed up with everyone thinking that this man was some sort of demigod when actually he was and still is the worst President this country has ever had, for a lot of the reasons I mentioned in my previous post and many I didn’t.
By “establishment” I mean every bought and paid for politician that takes money from special interest groups or corporations to do their bidding instead of the peoples will. On that point, they are ALL guilty. Soon to be house speaker being the worst. But it’s not one side or the other that is guilty of that, both sides are equally guilty, or would you argue that? Regulators fall into that same group as they repeatedly ignored warning signs of potential problems because they were being paid to look the other way.
The problems we have in this country did not start with just one administration but a culmination of “all” the previous administration, including Obama’s. I am just a critical of both parties because they are both motivated by greed and power, and until that changes, our country is doomed.
Furthermore, you will note I did not attempt to insult you or refer to kool-aid to make my point. Those kinds of tactics are exactly why the two sides cannot come to some sort of consensus and I will not lower myself to that level. You want to talk facts, I’m with you. You want to insult me; you’ve already lost the argument!
