Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison, who has repeatedly called for a civil political discourse, retweeted — then deleted — a message Wednesday calling Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney a “heartless douchebag.”
Ellison, a representative from Minnesota, took to Twitter to pose the question, “‘… even if you have a child two years of age, you need to go to work’ Who said it?,” the Washington Free Beacon reported:
The heavily edited quote comes from Mitt Romney, who discussed the right of women with children to work at a January campaign event.
“I wanted to increase the work requirement,” Romney said at the event, according to MSNBC. “I said, for instance, that even if you have a child two years of age, you need to go to work. And people said, ‘Well that’s heartless,’ and I said ‘No, no, I’m willing to spend more giving daycare to allow those parents to go back to work. It’ll cost the state more providing that daycare, but I want the individuals to have the dignity of work.’ ”
Among the Twitter replies to Ellison was one from user @respectperfect who wrote: “A heartless douchebag who doesn’t like animals or small children. At least that‘s what I’ve heard.”
Ellison subsequently retweeted the message.

Ellison has since removed both the retweet and his original Twitter query.
Jennifer Porter Gore, Ellison’s communications director, subsequently told the Free Beacon: “As with all Twitter accounts a retweet is not an endorsement. The congressman removed the tweet because it appeared to endorse use of a nasty term, which is not what we wanted.”

Posted on April 20, 2012 at 4:29pmNot really. Romney is a Progressive Socialist.
Let me ask you something – when was the last time you went to work to earn dignity? Are you paid in dignity scripts?
How many important jobs are often seen as “undignified” by the general public, yet people perform them anyway?
You can’t buy dignity. People work for money, so they can feed themselves and their families.
No one in the world “works for dignity”.

Posted on April 20, 2012 at 4:36pmI guess none of you can read very well. Mitt Romney wants the government to subsidize child care so mom’s can get back to work “for dignity”.
That doesn’t bother you? Man, oh man, that sure is a far cry from Barrack Obama and his spending habits. Hell, that’s totally different from the philosophy of Barrack Obama, isn’t it?
People really do get the leaders they deserve.
