Democrats Give Rep. Rangel Standing Ovation After Censure

WASHINGTON (AP) — New York Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel says the House’s overwhelming vote to censure him for financial misdeeds was political.
A relieved and defiant Rangel told reporters that he is at peace with himself and convinced that when history is written, people will recognize that the 333-79 censure vote Thursday was in his words “very, very very political.”
The 20-term congressman insisted that he did not intend to violate House rules.

Posted on December 3, 2010 at 6:43amMe thinks the ovation was not primarily for Charlie, but for the creative ways he played the victim card, its not like I had sex with a child, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, you are picking on me, no one has been censored in so long, its not fair, I deserve better I have been here longer, it’s not fair, you guys do things like this and do not get caught, why are you picking on me? All sorta new, sorta ideal use of the victim card, watching him beg and plead for mercy, I fully expected him to go into some kind of soft shoe dance and start crying, luckily we were spared that routine. Poor Charlie, he had to be talked down to by none other then the great Nancy, such and embarrassment.

He will probably use the old race card. and be in the news one way or another, recieving some kind of honor for his contributions to our country and to our government. BLAH,BLAH,BLAH…………..I actually think he was thrown under the bus to convince the American people that our presidents party is doing a wonderful job, and we should feel grateful that they could let old charlie go. Does anyone know what his retirement income will be? I have a feeling he will do just fine. Don’t cry charlie, you’ll be in far better shape financially than your fellow Americans will be.

Then apply that set course of ideas to become your punishment. You prepare yourself to be judged as which those who would judge the most powerful man within your district, but to be honest to yourself, and to your office……you should take the punishment that would be given to the weakest man of your district, and not the most powerful, because you represent all persons of the district.

There may have been 2000 of the black farmers, but NOW the class-action lawsuit includes Native American “farmers” with billions to be handed out to many more than 2000 “farmers” who are willing to have their rear ends kissed, nothing but reparations. Posted on December 3, 2010 at 6:04pmThere‘s a very good reason he’s not in jail. He didn’t break any laws. After a two year investigation into the past 20 years of his financial history (which he voluntarily supplied). No criminal wrong doing was found. It was found that he did violate house ethics rules (such as using official letterhead for personal correspondence), but he did not prosper by these violation. These were things that could seen as poor judgment, or even mistakes. Looking at past cases that are similar in nature, the investigation should have taken a few days, and the maximum punishment should have been a formal letter of reprimand. It is utterly mind blowing that 2 years of time and millions of tax-payer’s dollars were spent on this relatively minor matter. How can any reasonable person not say this was politically motivated.
If anyone disagrees with me, as I’m sure many of you will, please indicate which law he broke that should land him in jail.
