Democrats Offer Solidarity to Occupy Wall Street Protesters

With a move that seems to have removed any doubt about where the Democratic Party stands regarding the Occupy Wall Street protesters, the top campaign arm for House Democrats circulated a petition Monday urging people to “stand with” the movement.
In a heartfelt plea sent via email Monday morning, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Director Robby Mook appealed for signatures to an online petition in support of those who want “to let billionaires, big oil and big bankers know that we’re not going to let the richest 1% force draconian economic policies and massive cuts to crucial programs on Main Street Americans.”
According to Fox News, the DCCC is trying to gather 100,000 signatures for its petition to “send a message straight to Eric Cantor, Speaker Boehner, and the rest of reckless Republican leadership in Congress.”
Fox adds:
The appeal comes after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and other Republicans sharply criticized the protesters on Friday. At a Values Voter Summit in Washington, Cantor said he was “increasingly concerned about the growing mobs occupying Wall Street and the other cities across the country.”
…
At the same summit, businessman and GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain called the demonstrations “anti-capitalism“ and ”anti-free market.” On CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Cain said it is “anti-American” to protest bankers. He said Wall Street didn’t write the “failed economic policies.”
In response, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Cantor is being selective in his criticism.
“I didn’t hear him say anything when the Tea Party was out demonstrating, actually spitting on members of Congress right here in the Capitol, and he and his colleagues were putting signs in the windows encouraging them,” she told ABC’s “This Week.”
Pelosi also said she supports the protesters’ message, essentially giving them Democrats’ blessing, and, seal of approval:
“I support the message to the establishment, whether it’s Wall Street or the political establishment and the rest, that change has to happen. We cannot continue in a way that does not — that is not relevant to their lives. People are angry,” she said.
Fox adds:
As for the demonstrators, the Columbus Day holiday gave many additional free time to rally in Washington, D.C., and beyond. Protesters camped out in Freedom Plaza near the Treasury Department in Washington said they planned to stay longer than their permit allows, and would be willing to risk arrest.
“We have until 2 p.m. today to remove our possessions. We do not intend to do so. We suspect that if the police want to remove us by force they will wait until evening. So we’re throwing a dinner party, and 99% of the country is invited. Our permit is now the First Amendment to the United States Constitution,” wrote David Swanson, a member of the “Stop the Machine” protest group.
Oddly enough, Congressman John Lewis D-Ga., who attempted to show solidarity in his home state at an Occupy Atlanta protest, was reportedly turned away by one of the protest groups. No clear explanation was given as to the reason behind the group’s decision.
Meanwhile, Occupy Wall Street’s “Declaration” comes complete with a corresponding 55-page document posted online that includes ideas for a “new economic charter.” According to Fox, the charter includes suggestions for a new salary structure where doctors would be paid $28,000; lawyers would be paid $27,500; teachers would be paid $35,000; and bankers would be paid $20,000.
Under the charter, the President of the United States would earn a staggering $40,000 per year.

As Beck says their potentially dangerous and we very well see these same elected officials who tried to take advantage of the situation have the protesters haeds cracked the very second they turn on them.

The Hollywood blacklist was real, and still is real.
Joe McCarthy was completely right. His problem is that he put the wrong name out there to attack the nightmare playing out today. He was calling them communists, and while he was 100% right, Americans were deflective of that term as applied to elected officials. Had he called them by the Party name, Progressives and taken the case to the American people laying out his charges against them side by side with the doctrine of Marx and Engels, he could have been the gatekeeper. Instead he charged Congress, a literal cesspool of totalitarian minded sociopaths that were burning in thousand foot flames, with an 8 ounce glass of water and no back-up.
As for PelHOsi, she’s a filth ridden diseased minded wh*re.

Wall Street and K street are steeped in corruption while the Kochs and Rove and everybody from Ailes to Norquist pander for the umbrella-ed term of “Less Government”. Less quality control in the food we grow and import? Less health standards for workers and the public in the manufacturing sector? YES!! Less regulations in the socially-contributionless financial casino of digital currency. NO!!! Progressives and liberals want to expand our minds our collective consciousness and our tolerance by challenging the norms so far accepted in society. Conservatives and Reactionaries want to pretend that homosexuality hasn’t existed as long as **** sapien sapiens have and exists in almost every specie in the animal kingdom, they want to pretend that we can return to 1950s culture if we just cut down the governmental tree grown to solve our communal problems. Posted on October 11, 2011 at 2:17amJust a thought: Pelosi and her bunch, including the rest of the liberal Democrat Party liberals, as well as the Van Joneses, the Harry Bellefontes, Cornell West, and the list goes on, are supporting the Occupy Wall Streeters. Normally you don’t bite the hand that feeds you – Wall Street.
Wall Street feeds the liberal left in two ways:
(1). Wall Street through Goldman Sachs, City Group, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and the rest make large donations to the liberal left political coffers – actually significantly more to the Democrats than to the Republicans. Likewise, so did and does Fanny and Freddie, although not a part of Wall Street, they are joined with them at the hip.
(2). Wall Street supports the Democratic Party regulatory platform, which more directly affects lower tiered banks, and continues to give Wall Street control and a competitive edge, and permits them to stay linked up with Fannie and Freddie, which remain unregulated.
Gets interesting doesn’t it! Wall Street is not hurt by either the demonstrations or the “negative” publicity. He who owns the gold rules.
If the agenda is to perpetuate the current Obama-Soros system, it will pretty much have to be their continued “leadership” and “oligarchy”. Solution, falsely pretend that they are against Wall Street, enlist the support of the “useful idiots”, i.e. college liberals, labor unions, etc., foment riots and pandemonium with Obama to the rescue. The Tea Party is “Patriotic™” in the same way that “Cheez™” is a dairy product. It’s the land of the frequently wrong, and the home of the blissfully ignorant. So why are we surprised that their tirades on TARP or birth certificates or taxes or stimuli or budgets or InsertReallyAnythingHereBecauseICouldKeepTypingForQuiteAWhile have once again been demonstrably proven to be based on their own imaginations?

That’s all the Tea Party is; a movement which revels in and requires from each and every participant a certain amount of ignorance to things like “facts,” “figures,” “reality,” and “common sense.” I’m not even talking about the really deep details either, I’m talking about things like whether or not a universal single-payer healthcare system was recently signed into law by the President. I’m talking about when TARP came into being and who voted for it. I’m talking about when certain states were added to the Union. I won’t even get into the hypocrisy and short-term memory loss that’s so common in this movement that I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ll soon discover there’s a carrier gene.

The Republican party never sided with the Tea Party. The Tea Party through votes and peaceful meetings forced Republicans to listen to average working Americans in spending less, balancing the budget, and adhering to the Constitution. There are many republicans who are not tea party, nor do they like the tea party.
these are two very different animals here, and not comprable.

Posted on October 10, 2011 at 7:28pm$28,000 for Doctors huh? I’m sure the medical schools will be SWARMING with those eager to spend a decade in intense training followed by countless liberals demanding care for nothing, and lawyers foaming at the mouth over every miniscule mistake. Yeah, that will certainly solve the medical care problems in America.
