Some Detroit Faith Leaders Condemn 11-11-11 Christian Prayer Event

Detroit Faith Leaders Condemn 11 11 11 The Call Christian Prayer Event Vilifying Muslims

Friday, November 11th, 2011 is an unusual day.  So unusual, in fact, that it occurs only once every 100 years. While some people are planning to mark the triple convergence of 11′s with a splash, hoping it will bring them good fortune, others are planning to rid Detroit of demons – Muslim “demons,” that is.

As The Blaze previously reported, Evangelical group known as “The Call,” headed by Lou Engle, is planning a prayer rally at Ford Field in Detroit on November 11th, with the goal of uplifting the city of Detroit, “a microcosm of our national crisis,” as Engle describes it.

Engle believes Detroit is “God’s staging ground for healing and prayer,” capable of producing “a prayer that can change the nation.”  He points out that Detroit is rife with “economic collapse, racial tension, the rising tide of the Islamic movement, and the shedding of our children’s innocent blood on the streets and yet unborn.”

Some leaders of Detroit’s Christian and Muslim communities, however, have expressed concern about the real aim of the planned rally. They believe The Call’s leaders frequently “demonize Islam and promote ‘Dominionist’ theology, which advocates a takeover of government, media and business by conservative Christians.”

And the Council for Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling on mosques across the Detroit area to beef up security in preparation for the event.

To counter the planned rally, local leaders gathered Thursday afternoon in Detroit’s Grand Circus Park to promote an alternative event “for people of faith to pray for Detroit in an inclusive, non-political way,” and to denounce Lou Engle’s rally at Ford Field as “un-Christian, “un-American,” and “idolatrous.”

Critics of Engle point to his intentions of converting “Muslims to Christianity before they turn Michigan into an Islamic state,” as cause for concern.  Indeed Engle has alienated many potential sympathizers with statements such as this:

“At 11-11-11 the Lord just clearly showed to us, you got to pray all night long because it’s when the Muslims sleep and all over the world right now Muslims in the night are having dreams of Jesus, we believe that God wants to invade with His love Dearborn with dreams of Jesus.  We’re gathering together to say God, pour out your grace and revelations of Jesus all over Dearborn and the Muslim communities of North and South America.”

An additional element of controversy surfaced when several of Detroit’s most prominent African-American pastors agreed to support and join Engle’s rally.  Other pastors came to their defense, however, indicating that they were tricked into believing this was a “nice, goody-goody event and we’re going to sing kumbaya.”

On Friday, 11/11/11, the day of “reckoning,” all shall be revealed, or so Engle says:

This statement alone “Engle believes Detroit is God’s staging ground for healing and prayer,” should tell any intelligent person that Lou Engle is just as looney as Terry Jones and anyone else who believes this superstitious metaphysical nonsense.

Number 1, never listen to the words of people on the reaction to repentance.. I went to the call last night and it was not what faith leaders in the paper was saying. The faith leader in the paper said that it was a hate message, the Muslims said it was an attack against them and people. This is the first message I have ever and let me say it agan, ever seen where the Jewish people apologize for the past hurts against the Muslimns and the muslmns leader apologize for the things his people has done against them. Then to top the icing on the cake to have a black faith leader tell about the linching on his family and how they have to forgive white people of the past pain and hurt that has happen. To see white people bow and apologize for there father, father sin and they all embrace each other and crying. This to me is the first step of TRUE REPENTANE.

The CALL was incredible; we were there for 17 of the 24 hours. The devil must have hated it, because we were all praying, asking to be forgiven for the wicked things done in America yesterday and today. We Christians love America, too, but we know things are not right and we had business with God at that ‘ford’ in history.

The fully-regaled native Americans danced, drummed, and prayed to Jesus for America. The white Americans bowed down in humility to them and to the African Americans and asked for their forgiveness for lies and discrimation and for forgetting about them for 300 years. The African Americans bowed to the whites and asked for forgiveness for harboring reverse-discrimination. The church of all colors bowed to a Jewish rabbi and asked him to forgive her for all the wicked things it had done in America, then a former Muslim terrorist came up, cried, and bowed to the rabbi asking for forgiveness and a restoration between the sons of Abraham. Yeah, there was a lot of hate coming out – and it was all going straight back to HELL where it started from.

The Call was a just a fuse, a start to something big; we are praying that, from this, the church in Detroit is going to unite as one and then they are going to BLAST Motown with a love of Jesus and supernatural power that is going to shock the planet before it is done. PRAY FOR DETROIT, America. This is a city where the impossible could happen. I’m really glad I will be able to say I was there when it started.

So if someone believes healing and prayer that makes them looney? Well call the men in the little white suits cuz I am certifiable! It is our last line of defense in this country. Do you know that Alveda King was there to lead the prayers to stop the killing of the unborn? 60% of which are African American? Did you know that at the beginning of the event a muslim and a jewish man come together to apologize to each other on behalf of their cultures? Did you know that many black pastors from Detroit were there because they want to end the race wars and gang murders and poverty in their city? And that the white pastors stood up and repented on behalf of years of oppression and slavery and racial prejudice? Are these things bad for our country? Are they UnAmerican? I hope not. If so we are in bigger trouble than I thought.

They can threaten death to non-believers and pray 5 times a day but a prayer vigil by christisans is considered evil.

We are at the precipice of no return where the union will be desolved and several new nations will be formed. The ACLU,PROGRESSIVES,AND DEMOCRATS sheared our society into pieces. This multiculturalism has devistated our nation we are heading down a path of destruction. Sedition would be the best result if not Civil War will be inevitable. CAIR is nothing but a focus grouped front for the Muslim Brotherhood, their objectives are designed to seem to be in line with Islam and yet still seem friendly to the West. Their true objectives are not based in true Islam but the Wahhabist/Qutibist bloody interpretation of the religion which is accepted my a majority of Muslims and downplayed when it comes to the media.

I am a member of the oldest Muslim sect in America (Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, est. 1921) and the youngest Muslim sect in the world (Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, founded in 1889). Ironically we believed way back then that the entire Muslim world would run astray due to their beliefs in the Quran, Hadith, and Shariah which were not in line with the true teachings of Islam. We believe in love for all of humanity and hatred towards none, and we frequently hold events in conjunction with our brothers from the local Churches, Synagoge‘s or any of God’s Houses. For our beliefs we are labeled non-Muslim infidels and fit for killing in countries such as Pakistan, Indonesia, or anywhere in the Muslim world. We are not even allowed to visit Mecca, if we go we must be cautious not to tip off who we are or we will never leave Mecca. We teach Muslims that you must be flexible with religion, and God provides that flexibility in the way you can combine prayers so you do not have to stop what you are doing when you are doing something important, like working!!!!

Excuse me, but I am quite sure that you are very wrong in that statement. I am Muslim and if I just learned about this “Call” a few minutes ago, then it is highly unlikely that Muslims were insulting you guys. If we brought up more security as precautions for extremists, and that is considered “offensive” then is it offensive that America beefed up security in airports? I’m Arab and Muslim and I see those men who did 9/11 as very, very wrong and I don’t believe that it was religion that caused them to do that. Why would a Muslim kill unarmed civilians trying to make a living? It says in the Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad PBUH said that we should never EVER kill: an unarmed man, a man incapable to fight, a man who poses no threat to anyone, a woman, elderly man/woman, nor child. Those people who did that were, in fact, extremists. So was Anders Behring Breivik. You don’t see all Muslims condemning every single Christian or Catholic or Jew or anyone as a Terrorist just because of a random person who claims to be of that faith. Most of my friends are Christians who read the bible in front of me, I have a friend who is Jewish, I have even Atheist friends. Why does anyone even need to build up so much security? If there is a group of people, such as me and my friends, that are able to be good friends together, share each others Holy Book, and give each others opinions and beliefs without being criticized, then why can’t the world? It’s because of this intolerant hate ri

That’s because there is POWER in the name of Jesus. A power that does not exist in any other name and it scares the demons (pun intended) out of people. The mystery of Satan is to make sweet /bitter and bitter /sweet. To make God evil and evil (Satan) good (doing a pretty good job of it too I might add). Satan fights against God, period. So what religions and/or people are under attack to be wiped out?
      * John 4: 22 : “Salvation is of the Jews”. (Jews have been the target of genocide many times)
      * John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believe on him shall not perish but have everlasting life”. Satan froths at the mouth in his rabid goal to wipe out Israel and Christinity.

Atheists, set aside your personal opinion for just a little while and at least read the new Testament, not as a religious book, but as literature. There is no harm in knowledge for knowledge is power. Read the Quran too for the same reason. Choose to be knowledgable. ***Revelation 13: 15 (paraphrased) those that do not worship the image of the beast shall be KILLED. The new world order/religion is coming, one day you will have to make an decision. Where will you stand in that day and in that hour?

In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping Sharia law – what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.
For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose Sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed. Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world.
Peace and prosperity for one’s children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.
While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics – one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others.
While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism.
It’s hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.

People also forget that Islam is not just a religion, but also a form of government. Christianity is not a form of government, and actually it states in our founding papers that the United States may not impose a national religion. We don’t force people to be Christians. Jewish people don’t force people to be Jewish, and if you don’t convert, we’ll kill you. Jewish people don’t advocate that Jews live under a different set of priveledges in order to convince people to convert. Islamists get special priviledges under Obamacare, because THEY view it as a tax, so they’ll be exempt. Can you see when this is fully implemented the number of people that will “convert” so they don’t have to deal with Obamacare?

” Moses was angry with the officers of the army… ‘Have you let all the woman live?… now therefore,

And the bloodline survived…..that was always the first and most important consideration. All of the history of the hebrews is a story of the preservation of the bloodline that would lead to the birth of the messiah. Nothing else was important…still isn’t!
We small humans try to fathom the thoughts of God…Good luck.
Your arrogance and sophistry will not serve you well in the coming tribulation….and it is coming already, IMHO.
You elevate human ideals and moral thinking above the ideals and morality of He who created you,
and that is the same reason your own children don’t respect you.
you read the Bible, I can tell. But have you delved into the languages and the apocrypha? There is a story within the story that is most important. But the only key to this wisdom is the belief in Christ as the savior of the Human soul,

Joys of Muslim Women- AN ABSOLUTE Must Read!!!
This was written by a woman born in Egypt as a Muslim.
This is not hearsay, and it will scare the life out of you.
Make sure you read the paragraph (in red) towards the end.
      Joys of Muslim Women
      by Nonie Darwis
In the Muslim faith, a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the marriage by 9.

The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.
In the West World ( America ), Muslim men are starting to demand Sharia Law so the wife cannot obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Sharia law.
By passing this on, enlightened American women may avoid becoming a slave under Sharia Law.
      Ripping the West in Two.
Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Sharia law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two.
She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.
Darwish was born in Cairo , spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza .
When he died, he was considered a “Shahid,” a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.
But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.

While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere.

In twenty years, there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so… You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA . Dearborn Mich. is one… and there are others.

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful…. some may be but they have an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam, the peaceful support the warriors with their finances and own kind of patriotism to their religion. While America is getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and erasing God from the lives of children, the Muslims are planning a great jihad on America .

It’s a sad day in America when people have a problem with people of their own free will praying and coming together in the name of Jesus. I guess bringing people together doesn’t further their cause of division and chaos.

    I say pray on.

God said in Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17 that His people would dream dreams and see visions and prophesy in the last days. Jesus said in Matthew 28 to ‘make disciples’ of all nations. Meaning disciples of Jesus. He also said in Ephesians 6:18 to always pray on every occasion.
Praise God for Lou Engle and the intercessors who will stand with God and do what He commanded us in His word. Jesus too offended the religious pharisees of his day.

Yes he offended the Pharisees because they used to make people walk around like they were diseased when they were not diseased. On the other hand, people make people do that even today.

Don’t know what book you get this from. Revelations 21 clears up your “Um” moment speaking clearly about the new heaven, new earth, and the New Jerusalem

vs. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it (New Jerusalem)
      - not make disciples as you suggest, that has been going on for some 2000 plus years

and verse 27 is clear who occupies the Holy City… please notice as a side note that it doesn’t say Baptists, Catholics, Methodist, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, Protestants, or any other “we are the only ones” group, but those whose name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.

All of which comes after the great white throne judgement. “Ummmmmmm…” maybe not such a long time, maybe a long time, yet I cannot find anywhere where His people are condemned for praying for the salvation of souls instead of 72 virgins. That is just a tad silly. Pray, Pray, and Pray some more…. Stay Strong America Strong in prayer…

Please refer to the prayer rally link in the article above, you know the one in RED! those quotes were never in the video they were on the thecall.com and then removed as of 11/4/2011 as noted in the link:

According to the Christian Post, TheCall’s website described Detroit as a city in despair, and said Christians will “gather to this city that has become a microcosm of our national crisis – economic collapse, racial tension, the rising tide of the Islamic movement, and the shedding of innocent blood of our children in the streets and our unborn.”

As of Friday, the phrase “the rising tide of the Islamic movement” had been removed from the statement. Event organizers have not commented on the change.

So once again no false witness bearing…think mcfly think! and get it straight before you accuse falsely.

Go to http://transformmi.com/link/thecall, and you will see that the 11.11.11 gathering in Detroit is in fact aimed, among other things, at countering what they call “the rising tide of the Islamic movement.” It doesn’t specify whether this rising tide is abroad or at home, but with America’s largest Muslim community living in the Detroit area, I quite understand why Muslims are nervous. If only all they were doing to do is praise Jesus, no problem, but I fear there will be quite a bit of Muslim-bashing at Ford Field as well. We’ll see.

Is Muslim bashing repeating Quranic verses or repeating what Iman’s teach in their mosques.
Or maybe Muslim bashing means to pray for those whose idol moon god demands they convert unbelievers by the sword.

Would I be a pedophile basher if I defined what the word pedophilia means
Would I be a murder basher If I defined what the word murder means
Would I be Muslim bashing to state that since 9/11 Muslims have carried out 17,982 deadly attacks

Exactly! I’m a Christian. My beliefs and my worldview are 100% Biblical. That is OBJECTIVE TRUTH. Muslims, and all other religions, including those who profeess Jesus but in any way deny His Godhead, His allowing Himself to be sacrificed, and raised 3rd day and sits at God’s right with all authority are wrong. Jesus said “I am the Way, the TRUTH and the LIFE….so, I wish(as does our loving yet JUST God) that all would receive Him, believe in Him and have eternal life. But Muslims, like the rest, shall burn in hell for worshiping allah the false god, or devil. Repent sinners
