Editing Trick, or Did Allen West Admit to Glenn He’s Running for Prez?

Glenn Beck has been trying to recruit Allen West to run for president for the last month. And over the last few weeks, he’s salivated every time a sound bite featuring West surfaces. So Beck’s interview with West on radio today could probably be best described as a love fest. In fact, Beck even had some Barry White playing in the background. Really.
While the interview was lighthearted (see above reference to Barry White), Beck did cover some serious positions such as West’s view of the Fed. But that’s really not what many wanted to hear. What everyone was looking for is whether or not West is going to run for president in 2012. The answer? “Not now.”
But “not now” wasn’t an answer Beck was willing to take, and instead edited West‘s response to include the answer he’d been wishing for. Hear the hilarious exchange below (the edited reaction starts at about 14:00):

We do need more people like Allen West and I hope they do show their faces in 2012 so that we can get rid of the bad Republicans and certainly the Bad Democrats. I would take a Joe Manchin probably the best Democrat in the senate or an Allen West any day of the week over somebody like John McCain or Linsday Graham. I may not always agree with that type of person on issues but I want them to be honest that way we can have an honest debate and allow the people to be the bosses of the policitians not the other way around.

Those that will campaign against West will most likely have progressive tendencies, so we don’t want them anyway. There may be a few Conservatives that won’t vote for him, but that will be a minority for varied reasons. And keep in mind, there are Republicans that just have to go with an establishment guy for some strange reason. Finally, we have those that I despise… the fakers. I never believed Obama was born in Kenya or anywhere outside of Hawaii, BUT I felt that there were enough inconsistencies to warrant questioning. I felt almost from the beginning (just like Beck and Co.) that Barry was playing a political game by not releasing his long form birth certificate and created a buzz around an issue that he knew he could close at his choosing, and deflect some attention from the growing marxist movement embraced by the White House. Even if it were true that Obama wasnt born in Hawaii and there was an actual videotape of his birth showing him being born in Kenya, I don’t believe for a second that enough sheeple in DC would vote to impeach him. I would be surprised if even one Democorpse would vote to impeach, and half of the Republicrats would bail too.
Glenn realized that the argument was unwinnable even in the off-chance that he was ineligible according to the Constitution. The Constitution means NOTHING to the left, and little more to half of the Republicans. Trump with the eager assistance of the MSM brought the nearly dead issue back to life and bigger than everSo in his zeal to convince his listeners that they were being played by Barry and the WH gang and the press ended up alienating a group of those who were fighting the left and were fighting to see The Constitution upheld (even if it turns out they were mistaken, in this case). I was angry at Glenn for using this tactic and SLAP’s reaction is precisely what I feared would happen.
Glenn has no bigger supporter than I, but he needs to heed his own advice and unite with those who may not agree on every issue, but agree on the core principles needed to rebuild this declining nation. SLAP, I understand your anger at Glenn, but dont throw out the baby with the bath water and convince yourself that Glenn is part of the problem. He most certainly is NOT, and he has done some incredible things to help awaken millions of Americans including myself. He made a mistake. He is human, just like the rest of us.
