Did Chris Christie Snub Glenn Beck?

We all know that Glenn has a bit of a man-crush on the New Jersey governor, but perhaps the feeling isn’t mutual?  When the New Jersey Star Ledger asked Christie if he’d like to meet Glenn, the gov seemed to dodge the question.

Also, enjoy the reporter’s maniacal laughter:

Gov. Chris Christie still won‘t say if he’d like to meet Glenn Beck

    ‘Thanks, but no thanks‘ wasn’t even implied…

    If he would of said yes–I would be all over the news now: Christie wants to meet Beck his hero—Christie takes orders from Beck whom he wants to meet;

    He had no choice but to say NO b/c of the liberal press.

    Christy just has to be careful. It understandable considering how the media treats Glenn. He could cause Christy trouble. Funny though that the president can support the communist party goers on 10/2. God forbid if Christy should befriend Glenn.

    I must be missing something, because I didn’t see where he said thanks but no thanks. Frankly, as powerful as Glenn is with his message, perhaps it would be a hindrance to give the nay-sayers in NJ a reason to start screaming that they’re being invaded by the Tea Party. The demolibersocialcommies could make a lot out of any meeting of any lawmaker with Glenn, that’s what they do: try to marginalize and make everyone but they out to be wackos.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A *********• The ********* gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised. All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now The ********* gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. The *********’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. The ********* takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. The ********* dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree- hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. The ********* begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards The *********‘s employer pays these standards because The *********’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If The ********* is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he‘ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn’t think he should loose his home because of his temporary misfortune. It’s noon time, The ********* needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. The *********‘s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect The *********’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression. The ********* has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that The ********* and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. The ********* is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dad’s; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn‘t have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republicans would still be sitting in the dark) He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so The ********* wouldn’t have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home. He turns on a radio talk show, the host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good (He doesn’t tell The ********* that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit The ********* enjoys throughout his day). The ********* agrees, “We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives.

      HOW TO BE A MOONBAT: A SIMPLE SIX-STEP PROGRAM IN THE PROGRESSIVE LIFE
      1. Get up in the morning.
      2. Congratulate yourself on being the salt of the earth.
      3. As you go about your daily taks (if you have them), curse the rest of mankind for being numbskulls and dregs.
      4. If there’s time, take a bath. (But be careful to be quick about it since you don’t want the earth to run out of water.)
      5. Before retiring, repeat these words: “If there were a God, I would thank him that I am not like other men.”
      6. Repeat the next day.

      I am a tea party person. Btw, I am a proud tea ******, because it would really suck to be the tea baggee, which is the position you are in now… THINK ABOUT IT!!!
      I get up, and don’t need to take medications, because I believe in personal responsibility. My family suffers from high blood pressure, and etc, so I eat healthy and workout everyday.
      I own a catering company and cannot hire anyone because of the liberal Obamacare debacle. In fact, I might have to let people go, because my taxes are going to go up, again, because of the liberal tax increases on people who make 250k or more. Too bad, most of us are business owners.
      Unions are bankrupting our country!!! They push everyone around so that their members can be lazy (i.e. my sister-in-law is a union member and is always an hour late for work)
      Actually, liberals have fought to have everything taken away from us… Liberals think everyone is so dumb that they can’t do their own research on what is good and not good to take or eat. Liberals have lowered the intelligence of the average human because they set the bar so low and dumbed everything down.
      I am a real adult who can take care of myself. I don’t need a government to regulate me, I don’t need a useless union to stand up for me because I can do it on my own, I don‘t need a liberal to tell me what I can and can’t have.

      The “*********” gets up to prepare his coffee he has enjoyed since he was a teenager, but realizes that he can’t anymore because caffeine has been banned by the liberal mayor who runs his city. But it doesn’t matter since his water is rationed because of environmental concerns. He needs to save it for his weekly shower which is also rationed by the government. He goes to take his medication, but realizes that the unions and obamacare has driven up the prices to manufacture his medication so high that no company has created or manufactured the medication that he needs. His breakfast of tofu isn’t as pleasing as the eggs and bacon he was formerly allowed to eat. But since a government official deemed that they were unhealthy, he has been unable to purchase them. Since his shampoo wasn‘t environmentally safe and it wasn’t his day for a shower, his thoughts drifted to other things. The “*********” then walks through the “very nice” public housing neighborhood to work, since he is no longer allowed to use a combustion engine and we can no longer drill for oil to fuel his car anyway. When he gets to work he realizes that they have closed up shop because the corporate tax rates and regulation has driven the company out of business. Good thing though, because if he got hurt on the job he would have to go to a government panel to see if he is allowed to get treatment for his injury. Since he is over 55 years old, he wouldn’t qualify. Since the government now owns all banking in the country, when he gets to the bank at lunchtime he realizes that they have confiscated his account to pay some “outstanding taxes” that he had never heard about. Since you can no longer own private property, the man doesn’t pay a mortgage, but he is kicked out of his public house because a person with a higher tax base has been moved in instead. The “*********” wants to visit his parents farm, but because of all the big farm subsidies levied by Roosevelt et al, his parents can no longer sustain a profitable farm. Plus with the regulations, they can’t afford they type of crops that their farm is equiped to grow. But it’s just as well, because since cap and trade and other energy regulations have gone through, his parents couldn’t afford the electric bill anyway. Since his dad has been paying taxes his whole life, he had no extra money to put aside in a savings account his whole life, so he has to work until his death since the social security program collapsed because it could no longer be funded. He realizes that he might as well live in any of the other 200 countries in the world, because the America that he once knew is gone.

      I wish you Liberals would learn to use a dictionary… Tea bagging is something that liberal males do to other liberal males (e.g., Barney Frank was caught tea bagging Barry Obama in a Capitol building toilet yesterday) and a tea ****** party is what happens when 20 liberal males get together (e.g., the former ballerina, Rahm Emanuel, loves going to tea bagging parties, because he’s a tea ******). On the other hand, Tea Partiers are tax payers who aren’t ignorant about history and the American Constitution and who are tired of giving handouts to liberal freeloaders. This a more accurate depictions:
      California:

      The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks his dog.

      1. The Governor starts to intervene, the coyote bites the Governor, which makes him stop and reflect upon the movie “Bambi;” he then realizes he should stop; the coyote is only doing what is natural.

      2. He calls animal control. Animal Control captures coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.

      3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.

      4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.

      5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish& Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is free of dangerous animals.

      6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a “coyote awareness” program for residents of the area.

      7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.

      8. The Governor’s security agent is fired for not stopping the attack somehow and for letting the Governor attempt to intervene.

      9. Additional cost to State of California: $75,000 to hire and train a new security agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.

      10. PETA protests the coyote’s relocation and files suit against the State.

      Above stated COSTS = $2,233,800 not including lawsuits

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Arizona:
      The Governor of Arizona is jogging with her dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks her dog.
      1. The Governor shoots the coyote with her State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
      2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.
      And that’s why California is broke.
      To Benicepeople – I could write a book but just a line will have to do for now. The progressive gentleman wakes at his leisure on a fine Monday morning. No need to hurry today as he is a government worker and gets all holidays and weekends off while still getting paid from the tax dollors of those who provide services for him on the weekend, in companies they created with an idea and a whole lot of sweat labor. The products to provide those services like the coffee and the coffe pot were invented and brought to his table because a capitalist created a better way to bring coffee to this man’s home. His sheets, his roof, the food on his table, his shaver, his clothing. Where would he be without free enterprise. Probably in a hut, wearing a green suit that matched his fellow prolitariat, wondering if he could have a worm with his rice. Do not get me wrong, I like that someone fought for clean water. I am sure a business man who runs a business that depends on clean water would have created a way to get clean water. Individuals in a community can vote to improve community services. Do not try to paint the constitution as a lifeless document.
    If that’s what passes as a snub these days then I guess Christie snubbed me by not personally responding to my e-mail.
    The simple fact of the matter is we don’t need to meet each other, share ideas, and thus suffer the ill effects of group-think that has taken over the other side. So long as we each do what feel is necessary being guided by free market principles and text of the Constitution we shall put up a united front lead not by any given politician or pundit but rather by “We the People”.
      Wow, it makes sense that Glenn feels a little Messianic. He’s got some real-live Disciples out here! I, myself, am not a follower of men, I am a follower of (my own) beliefs and ideas – which are strictly Constitutionally Conservative. I don’t need to follow any other person like an overly-protective puppy.
      Normally I find your posts insightful, thoughtful. I don’t appreciate your labeling of Glenn as an extremist. I don‘t feel it’s a fair assessment. Nor do I feel it’s fair to compare his supporters to puppy dogs, as if we can’t think for ourselves.
      Also, The Constitution was written by men so I hope that you are at least a follower of men in that regard.
      Wow. How’s this, Beckophants? You are Followers. I believe Glenn is a passionate, kind, good-hearted, conservative person, but he IS NOT MY LEADER. In fact, I flat out disagree with some of his more Survivalist, Conspiratorial, not to mention “Special-Garment-Wearing” Mormonism (I am an Unbeliever).
      I wish all of you the will, drive and intelligence to blaze (pun intended) your own path and form your own, unique beliefs, just like Glenn has.
      @Broker0101
      So you don’t like Mormons? Your blatant insult to what they consider sacred more than implies that. I am not Mormon and don’t believe in what they do, but I don’t try to insult the hell out of them as you have done. It’s not like they will strap a bomb to themselves and blow you up for doing it though, so that’s good.
      I find it odd that you are at a site, pretty much about Glenn Beck, then proceed to rip on him and his religion. Obviously you don’t like what he is doing or saying, so why not just leave and quit pretending you agree with anything he says.
      Also you are making a huge assumption that we “follow”Glenn. We don’t follow him, we tune in and listen because we agree with him most of the time. We don’t agree with him because he said “it”, we agree with him because most of the time we thought “it” well before he ever said “it”. He gives a voice to those of us who have thought they way he does for years, only we never had that common sense representative on TV to give us that voice.
      We don’t follow, we listen, agree a lot with him, and feel good about having a place to talk with those who are like minded. We didn’t have that before and we do now.
      With that in mind you may want to reassess your followers statement.
      Poverty Sucks, does that mean Obama is a Communist now since his group and CPUSA worked together? Ever think the extreme part is to make fun of the extremists out there? Heck I think that is what he talked about when he first came out with it. How else would I have that crazy conspiracy theory idea since I am a mindless zombie slave to Glenn Beck.
      It would appear to me that if a man were to agree with someone on many issues, yet not want to speak with them simply becuase ‘it might make them look bad’ then they are a coward. Perhaps Christie has some good stances, but it looks to me like he is a coward. Just another polititician who wants power and will bow to whomever he needs to in order to hold onto it.
      I agree. In fact I would go a step further and suggest Christie is aware of Glenn’s funny man-crush segments and knew if he said “yes, I want to meet him,” the headlines tomorrow would be that Christie wanted some strange relationship with Glenn!!! It was more mistrust of the press than of snubbing Glenn.
      I agree, who wants to trust the press anyway. and besides, Christie is without a doubt too busy cleaning up the messes left by the Dems in New Jersey! He figures Glenn is taking care of his end of this national debacle while Christie takes care of his within his state. The mutual admiration society does not need to blab their respect; the knowledge is inherent to the goal.
      We need a man like Chris Christie.
      Stop spending your children’s future on failing policies and socialist agenda.
      Stop Obama from starting a world government and global taxation.
