See Rep. Allen West Speak at His ‘Anti-Mosque’ 9/11 Event

Republican Rep. Allen West is catching heat for hosting what some critics are calling an “anti-mosque” and anti-Islam event. While some may view a Wednesday film screening and talk hosted by the congressman as an appropriate attempt to remember the lives of those lost on September 11, 2001, others believe the commemorative effort was both inappropriate and unwarranted.
The screening is particularly controversial because the film, produced by Christian Action Network and entitled, “Sacrified Survivors,” focuses upon the contentious so-called Ground Zero mosque that has created intense debate across America. According to Politico, the film prominently features 9/11 victims’ family members and their opposition to the planned house of worship and community center. Adding to the controversy, West invited some of these families to attend the event.
In a press release on Tuesday, West’s office described the film — and the event — as follows:
As plans for a mosque move forward at Ground Zero, just steps away from the twin towers site, 9/11 survivors and family members are experiencing yet another type of Islamic jihad. PRB Films tells their poignant and shocking stories in this new film, “SACRIFICED SURVIVORS: The Untold Story of the Ground Zero Mega Mosque.”
Survivors fear after this week, the country will again become complacent and 9/11 will become a distant memory. They believe they must work to keep people vigilant and fighting against the march of radical Islam through attempts like the Ground Zero mosque. As retired New York City firefighter Tim Brown says, “If this mosque is built, it will be like 9/11 all over again for the families who lost loved ones.”

One of the attending family members, Jack McDermot, who lost a son on 9/11, stood his ground in opposing the construction of the community center and mosque:
“I think it’s a tragedy that people are attempting to do something which is very distasteful to me, and I will support anyone or anything that’s done to put a stop to it.”
In addressing the crowd, West explained what may very well be his reasoning for hosting the event in the first place:
“my fear is that maybe we could end up forgetting what happened on 9/11 because of certain things such as political correctness or this desire to be a multicultural America. But in being a multicultural America we must never forget the fundamental principles and value that make us great.”
He continued, discussing his views about faith and religion. In a pointed notation, he explained his belief that Islam must go through the “reform process” just as other world religions have been forced to do:
“I think we have to understand that the major religions of this world—Judaism and Christianity—did go through reformations. Now we look at this next major religion…they need to go through a reform process as well.”
Of course, this comment will be looked at by some as an effort to tie together the radical actions of a small subset of Islamic adherents with the wider pool of believers.

But for those claiming that West is trying to legally restrict individuals from the right to build at Ground Zero, it‘s important to note that he drew a distinction between what’s legal and what is, in his view, morally acceptable:
“Nobody is saying you cannot build a mosque in New York City. That’s not the question. The question is will you honor and hold in reverence what we just heard today? This is a sacred site for some people, this is a site that really is a burial ground. Do we really want this to happen? It’s not about the constitution, it’s about what’s morally right.”
In an article posted on Wednesday, Death and Taxes’ Andrew Belonsky wrote, “Representative Allen West has quite the record of inflammatory rhetoric.” In the title of the piece, Belonsky essentially calls West “anti-Islam.” ThinkProgress shared these views, writing:
There’s room for a healthy debate about how to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks on the United States, but Sacrificed Survivors, with its distorted version of events and bigoted attacks on Islam, poisons that debate rather than contributing to it. The only thing it proves is how marginal Rep. West’s views — and sense of what constitute a dignified, respectful, and productive conversation about religion and national security — continue to be.

Until Moo“ham”ed had his vision in a cave, tribes could not kill anyone in their own tribe. Moo“ham”ed changed all that stating that God said it was okay. The foundation was all about killing, stealing, and forceful conversion. And the rest of the Arabs said “Allah Chocolate Bar”, which is the western version of “Wahooo, get ‘em”. He is one of the very few in this country that really understands the real threat we face from Islam. Islam wants only one of two things from us, and they do us a favor by writing it out plainly for all to see… “Convert or Die”. That is their agenda. Period. End of story! Allen West knows this because he is a student of history and an expert on both Korans, and the Surahs.

Posted on September 8, 2011 at 10:48amSaw an item on the web where in Spain, some locals were trying to stop the construction of a mosque in a place that the locals deemed inappropriate. They ceremoniously buried a dead pig on the site and the ground was then pronounced tainted by the muslims and therefore the mossque was not built. Seems like a very inexpensive way to stop the consruction of the ground zero mosque. Bury a big porker there and make a big deal out of it. Maybe MSNBC could cover it and maybe that would end the debate.
I’d love to see that, but save me the tenderloin. We just love Barbecue here in NC and I’d just hate to see the waste of a perfectly good pig.

Muhammad through his delusions (and I have little doubt that’s what they were) came to believe that Christians had received the Koran through Jesus but had corrupted it and adulterated it with ths idea of the Trinity, which to him denied the oneness of God. Trying to restore divine unity, he strenuously denied that he was anything but a man, and his actions certainly prove it!
It seems he may have been preaching his message to some existing body of Arab “believers” in one God who were trying to reconcile Christianity and Islam (see “Muhammad and the Believers” by one Fred Donner. Those who believed would have to give up fighting one another, putting an end to tribal feuds among “Muslims” (those who submitted to God by following Muhammad). Hence the idea that Islam is a “religion of peace.”
West is right that Islam needs a reform such as other great religions have undergone. What it needs most of all is to examine critically its own early history, as Christians have been doing for some time.

Your other theory, (reconcile Christianity and Islam) by bringing the tribes together by the blade didn’t begin until the march to Medina. Prior to that Islam coexisted with Christians and Jews. I would love to see someone open a food stand or cart and sell pork rinds, BBQ pork and pigs blood right in front of this mosque, Wouldn’t hurt if a little of the pigs blood spilled. You must be young and I understand, in school and at home, you weren’t taught love of country, respect for your neighbor, our national heritage or our Constitution. Americans have done much wrong in this world but on the other hand the good we done far outweighs our bad side. How many muslim doctors go, unpaid, to foreign countries to treat the poor? How many countries are as generous as the U.S.. Hell, the U.S. at the end of WWII did something unprecedented – they forgave their enemies and we paid billions if not trillions to rebuild their countries and societies which surely would not have treated us as more than human fodder. Until Muslims allow a Jew to live in Mecca or someone other than an Arab be in their government then they and people who think like you can kiss my behind.

I believe in first ammendment rights. People can be muslim if they so chose. I can also exercise my right to free speech. Islam is not on par with christianity (christianity is not about religion, it is about relationship) . It is not a religion, it is a form of government that holds people in slavery (literally). I have read the quaran, and lived in two seperate muslim nations. I know a little. It was not Baptists that flew airplanes into the twin towers and the pentagon. It was not baptists, methodists, presbaterians…. that were out in the street celebrating after 9/11. Muslims attacked this nation, and they attack around the world. When is the last time you saw a baptist strap a bomb on his chest, and blow himself up in the middle of a market with women and kids?

Ten years ago, muslims from a number of nations flew airplaines into our towers and pentagon. Muslims across the world celebrated when inocent people in the most free nation in the world were murdered.

Who said anything about persecuting anyone? I am talking about not drinking the PC Kool Aid, and embracing reality. Islam is not about religion, it is about power and taking over the world. Read it, it is in plain……Arabic (I put it in english for you though). As I said above, I read the quaran, and have lived in two seperate muslim nations. I know these people. They are not the freind of America or our constitiution. their alegience is to their false religion and sharia law. They are destroying much of Europe. Look at France, GB, Norway….. Are you blind. Multiculturalism is destroying America. We let the enemy in he back door, and then practice policital correctness to an extreem.

Obama claimed that America is not a christian nation, but in Egypt, he called us a muslim nation. I want a politician who has guts, and knows who the enemy is. Islam is the enemy. I meant no disrespect and must warn fellow believers from harboring hate, which will destroy their faith. Islam is evil and we have no business being in a Muslim country being friends with them, nation building them, nor supporting them. We are friends with Saudi Arabia, even under “Conservative” Christian Bush, but Saudi enforces Sharia. How is that being true and fighting this evil? This last rise of Islam has brought about the rise of persecuting “Christians”, opposite of what a Christian is to be. Just a simple warning from a fellow believer to let go of the hate and trust fully in God.

You are not the only one who has lived in Muslim countries. Not all Muslims hate us but a lot see our actions in their lands as acts against them and their faith. Just as YOU see Islam as the enemy invading your country. How does someone practicing a false religion and believing in a false God pick your pocket or stop you from worship? It does not.
Why were you in a Muslim country? To “redeem” them? Being a responsible Christian we must look at our actions of the past to see if they created the issues we have today, and when doing so we see they did. Continuing these same actions will not fix the problem but only make them worse. If you stand by the Constitution, Islam will never thrive here, never.

If you believe in Jesus Christ you know Islam holds no power, it’s false. What is the difference in a Muslim holding office and an atheist, Christian, or any faith? Nothing as they all must follow our Constitution if we force them to.
If a Muslim did become President, and honestly I do not feel bad BO is one but more a false Christian or atheist, and such Muslim changed our Constitution for Sharia an up rising would occur by the American people and military.
Liberals and Conservatives both have invited Muslims to Government, not just Liberals. Being responsible we have to be honest. Bush was a big supporter of Islam and was also touted by Conservatives as Christian.
I have talked with you several times and I encourage you to keep your faith in God. I’ve found you pretty versed and knowledable around God. I do ask you if you believe in 7 year trib theory? I do not and can show it false thru Daniel 9:27.
As were the days of Noe so will be the days of the coming of the Lord. No matter what we do, the world will turn more and more evil. Only Jesus will stop it.

I have a John Macarthur study Bible and I found his teachings, which are kind of long, but I believe accurate. He quotes a literal commentary from a 1919 I believe by a David Baron. You can listen on each verse. I am not sure how long the tribulation takes place, but there is something about a 7 yr peace treaty that will be broken. This is as good as it gets.

I lived amongst the muslims as a advisor in Iraq and Afghanistan. Made some very good friends, and did not hate any of them
I do hate the religion of Islam, and have seen what it does, especially in Afghanistan. It is a tool of power. The religious leaders killed school teachers and professionals, and they then rule the people with their false religion.
You believe we do not belong in the middle east, that is your right, and has nothing to do with my claim that I would hope our politicians are anti islam. Islam is anti Bible, and Anti America.
Would be nice if we could drill for our own oil, and negate some of the necessity of being in the middle east (JMO).

7 year peace or treaty is based off 7 year tribulation theory and is all based off Daniel 9, 70 weeks.
I respectfully ask you to look into Daniel 9:26-27
Verse 26 tells us messiah is cut off *after* the 62 week period, leaving it in the 1 week or 70th week. 7 year tribulation theory says this 70th week has yet to occur. Understanding these two verses totally unravels the 7 year tribulation theory.

It is interesting that Afghanistan is sitting on huge copper, lithium, and other precious metal deposits. They are more interested in farming poppies though.

Moderate Muslims who don’t follow these commands are not true Muslims. They are mandated to follow the Koran, hadith and Sira.
Our very first war after our independence was with Islamists who from that day to this day continue to preach the same message.
