Did Herman Cain Really Call Wolf Blitzer ‘Blitz?’

Herman Cain, asked about pat-downs and airport screening and racial profiling after Rick Santorum, said, “The terrorists have one objective that some people don’t get, to kill all of us… we should use every means possible to kill them first or identify them first.”
He also called Wolf Blitzer “Blitz,” and caught himself a few seconds later.
“Blitz, I meant Wolf. Blitz, Wolf, since we’re on a Blitz debate,” he joked.
When he wrapped up, Blitzer said, “Thank you Cain.”

Posted on November 23, 2011 at 6:32pmI am really fed up with people thinking that a presidential canidate should be perfect, and make no mistakes in speaking and grammer, and be like abe lincoln, when they give a speech. there is no such thing as a perfect pres canidate, because they are human. the proof is in the WH right now, he was presented as perfect in every way , and look what we got.

He is the ONLY candidate that can beat Obama because he can strip away at least 30% of the monority vote from Obama. That means WE WIN!

Posted on November 23, 2011 at 10:09amI really don’t care about the name gaffe, in fact, I think the nickname “Blitz” is kind of rugged. Brings back images of when he (blitz) covered the 91 gulf war, where he did a credible job. I do care that he said he would stop the flow of oil FROM Syria, who is not a large exporter. I think that while I like Herman and respect his life story I cannot see him as a credible commander in chief, “I would talk to my Generals”, really, do you have no ideas of your own on this subject? Sorry Herman, the field begins to narrow.

Report Post »Do you really expect every cadindate to be?
This line of thought, and every other person out there who thinks that a candidate is defunct because they are not subject matter expert in every possible contingent of what the Office of the President of the United States must and will face, is a fool.
The halmark of a true leader is the ability to locate credible experts, listen to what they have to say and then formulate a workable solution in conjunction with those experts.
Herman Cain is a true leader. He is not so emblazoned with himself, as the current office holder is, as to come out and state that he has answer for everything.
Personaly, I love that. It shows his caracter. It shows that he willing to workout real solutions with people who know what they are talking about.

Posted on November 23, 2011 at 9:13pmSorry Simple, Obama’s problem is that he talked to his generals and then ignored everything they said and did it his own way, like he has the whole time. Don’t act like you care what others opinions are if you are just going to ignore them anyways.

Posted on November 23, 2011 at 10:04amWho really gives an (pejorative in place of what’s inside the parentheses). I’ve been called worse. With a name like Wolf Blitzer, I bet he was called some quite colorful names over the past. Mr. Cain’s still the man I support and do agree 100% with his assessment about terrorist. We need to get back on the economy now though. Why are we having all these freaking debates about foreign policy anyway. Play nice; get bombed if you don’t. Simple. That would be my foreign policy. Anyway, I do hope they talk about the economy at the next debate. :)

Posted on November 23, 2011 at 9:07amAnybody notice that Cain is now under the radar in this debate? Despite what people may say – he is holding steady at 15-20% in polling instead of dropping down in single digits like others. Cain has a great point with cyber attacks. I am in the IT Tech world and more and more local government and businesses are trading in their local servers in favor of ASP/cloud applications (where the server is being hosted by someone offsite over the Internet using private VPN tunnals). That is a BIG PROBLEM if the Internet is ever attacked on a full scale. If the Internet goes down – those local governments and business go down. If they had a local server, that is not the case. Cain is right on that security threat.

Posted on November 23, 2011 at 4:25pm@survivorseed Cain has had four women come forth and accuse him of sexual harassment. Romney believes in Mormonism. Etc.And guess what? I don’t care. I discuss relevant issues and topics. I don’t go around bickering back and forth like Romney and Perry in a GOP debate about little insignificant things. I evaluate facts and sources about current Law and Policies.
@RepubliCorp Your statement is pretty ironic coming as a constant user of a website created by a man considered a fear monger, conspiracy theorist, nuts, crazy, alertest, and mad. These are the same tactics used by the Marxists to arbitrarily without facts and substance discredit others through the use of mean, blank, denigrating, very opinionated, haughty, arrogant, hearsay, slanderous, irrelevant words and phrases.
@qpwillie No. I just thought that since the Patriot Act was a very significant moment of discussion, in the last GOP debate, that some users might appreciate a different perspective or alternative analysis coming from someone who has actually studied law, practiced law, enforced the law, and interpreted the Law as a Professional. I did not add my opinion, commentary or support for any idea or person. I only provided a source for anyone to evaluate and come to their own conclusion.

Posted on November 23, 2011 at 5:23amExactly. Cain was the ADULT on the stage tonight and his thoughtful observation about CYBER space being the real battle ground that we need to protect (after our Borders) was proof that CAIN sees the BIG picture. He didn’t whine on like Bachmann (drama queen) or Santorum (whiner in chief) or Paul (narrow minded isolationist) or Newt (on which ever side works for him at the time) or Perry ( TOMMY JONES’s standin) or Huntsman (like someone said…he shoulda been in the DEM debate…he’s no PUB) and ROMNEY? Good grief!!! He always sounds like some 4 years old huffing and puffing “I didn’t say that, Mommy”… WE need a MAN in that OFFICE who has the best financial plan, who can get along with both sides but LEAD.
