Did Leftist Panel Member Admit Glenn Is Right About Occupy Wall St?

There’s an interesting video starting to make the rounds in the blogosphere. It was taken a couple weeks ago and includes a New York Times freelance writer talking about how the Occupy Wall Street structure doesn’t really foster an “anti-authoritarian” sentiment as much as it could, and a liberal editor who seems to be talking about how Glenn Beck as actually right about where the protests could go.
First, a couple points about the video. First, it‘s important to note that it doesn’t seem to be a planning meeting as some are billing it. The liberal blog site Jacobin organized it as a “public debate and panel discussion in Manhattan…about Occupy Wall Street and left politics and strategy.“ The word ”strategy” is mentioned, but so are “public debate and panel discussion.” So it would seem this wasn‘t some secret planning session with the movement’s top brass and minds.
Additionally, there are some “edits” in the video, especially where Beck is mentioned. We’re always suspicious of edits, and we believe we should point that out. Jacobin claims that the “jumps are caused by tape-switching,” but there’s now way we can confirm that.
So now to the video. The first shows NYT freelancer Natasha Lennard, who has reported on the Occupy movement for the times and was even arrested with the protesters. In it she says:
The state of the square now…[people] would not speak at the park. Because being an outright anti-authoritarian or an anarchist is not really something that people like to be live streamed around the world with a fucking police pen around you. So there is a silencing that’s sort of gone on without much addressing, because to address it would be to out oneself.

Lennard has since responded via Twitter, saying the meeting wasn’t a secret meeting nor was she employed by the NYT at the time she appeared on the panel:
The next video shows editor and activist Malcolm Harris opining about Glenn Beck and confirming, surprisingly (maybe), that Beck has actually been right about some of the protest. He explains:

[Video cuts, but seems to continue about Beck when it continues.]
…I think he’s like one of those fortune tellers who 99 percent of the time is just totally bullshitting everyone, and then 1 percent of the time [Beck's] eyes roll back in his head and he’s got, like, divine insight, you know: ”It’s the coming insurrection. It’s–I’ve been reading these French guys.”
That’s interesting for a lot of reasons. First, the jump just happened to be while talking about Beck and right after Harris notes that Beck’s analysis regarding where the protest is going is actually better than some of the leftist pundits.

He of course, has paid all the bills and the lion’s share of throwing the wedding party. Next, you have .52% represented by the bride’s maids, groomsmen, and immediate family. These people have all contributed in some way to the event and have brought gifts for the new couple. Then you have the last 47 guests who are mainly distant relatives and not so close, friends. These people show up empty handed with no gifts and are really just there for the free booze and steak dinner. The brides father is a little insulted that the 43 showed up with no gifts, but he does not mind, because their presence makes his daughter happy as she also is a liberal with a big heart.
Report Post »Well, sometime during festivities the 43 are getting pretty drunk and realize they should get hotel rooms for the night. They confront the bride’s father and demand he pay for their rooms as it was he that paid for the booze that got them drunk. In addition, they are demanding he pay for their transportation to the hotel. Things started getting ugly when they threatened to drag him out into the parking lot and beat him unless he opened his wallet.
So, this is where we are today. The mobs at OWS are getting ready to drag Dad out and beat the crap out of him. Are we as the other guests going to allow this to happen, after we have been treated so graciously by his hospitality??

Mostly spoiled brats who feel entitled to the generosity they have been showed, very much like the ungrateful wedding guests, and if I recall the Gospel has an almost exact match as an example as well, making it more clear this is the manifestation of the battle between Good and Evil at its roots.

A DEMOCRACY is when a lynch mob is marching on a jail/courthouse to murder a prisoner, ANARCHY is when that lynch mob over powers the jailers & set fire to the jail/courthouse & murder the prisoner that was held in the jail/courthouse, a REPUBLIC is when the governor realizes that there is a violent insurrection in the streets sends word to the President requesting aid in restoring CIVIL ORDER & rule of LAW and the President sending that aid in the form of troops.
Here in Nebraska we had an example of all three back int the 1920′s . A lynch mob marched on the county courthouse/jail overpowered the staff beat the mayor to a bloody pulp & lynched 2 men, the governor of the state sent a telegram to Washington DC & got a battalion of infantry , a heavy machine gun company & a battery of field artillery sent to Omaha to help restore order . Roughly 2000 soldiers with heavy machine guns & on call artillery support to restore peace & civil order in a town of roughly 15000-20000. Personally I would not like to see outbreaks of lynch mobs in this country or the violence & destruction that would follow.

Beck is brilliant and loves his country. The whole OWS thing is so bazaar for many reasoins. All of these groups and individuals with money and power, and the weakminded that blindly follow. I can not believe the the lists that grows within each hour of the day. We have to stay strong. I hate the thought of any more violence, but I know that it is inevitable. The progressives will never surrender. This is worldwide and far bigger than anyone could have predicted. Without the Blaze and and Beck to unveil the truth,I would have never imagined this could happen to my country. I am as guilty as so many Americans who just got to comfortable. God help us. They know that their “boots on the ground” are disorganized malcontents with no ambition, no drive, or what drive they do have is guided by ignorance or the misguided belief that they are somehow joining something historic. Yes, historic, but not GOOD historic. This has been totally predictable from the start. None of us are shocked at the slugs that have been occupying the OWS movement. It’s just those that actually have a brain and a clear goal (as bad as that goal is) seem to have no skill in organizing these uncontrollable masses to their liking. So, the so-called “academic” debate she is referring to is just an elitist way of saying “Crap! How do we get these idiots under control and move them in the progressive direction?” This is where progressives fail miserably, OWS occupiers are the only type that buy into their nonsense. Problem being, they buy into it, but don’t understand it. They just hear “corporate greed” and start marching and saying “give me more”.

The whole Saul Alinsky rules for radicals and the Cloward and Piven strategy is being played out before your very eyes.
“Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules,” Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. We are watching it like a play unfolding that we were anticipating, but only because of one man who is inspired and telling the truth from the pieces he was able to put together so well. Glenn is the teacher we needed so badly to be able to understand what is going on around us and to our country. I thank God for this man who has opened so many eyes, and I pray more people start to listen and get prepared.
