Did Michelle Obama and Jill Biden Get Booed at a NASCAR Race Sunday?

First Lady Michelle Obama and Second Lady Jill Biden visited NASCAR’s season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday to honor military troops and families, as well as to recognize new commitments by companies planning to hire and train veterans and military spouses.

While there for a good cause, it sounds like the crowd booed the introduction of Obama and Biden over the loudspeaker before the two, with a veteran and his family, delivered the most famous words in NASCAR. Video cut by Mediate:

The AP reports that the women had received a standing ovation at the pre-race drivers’ meeting Sunday, where Obama said NASCAR has been “amazing in terms of its support, not just today but every day for military families.”

But while serving as a grand marshal for the finale Sunday, it sounds like NASCAR fans in Florida are not fans of the First Lady.

Do you think the crowd was clearly booing Mrs. Obama? Does that cross the line, given that in addition to Biden, the First Lady was serving as a grand marshall with a veteran and his family while honoring the military?

    I am proud of NASCAR. The First Lady does not love this country and she does not love our values and what this country stands for so I am glad that she got booed!

      I refused to watch this race and have crossed off NASCAR from my watch listen! Never again NASCAR.
      I’ve given my next years NASCAR at the Glen tickets and pit passes away and have cancelled my room at the Glenn Harbor Hotel. Plss on you NASCAR!

      I am sure she is not a Nascar fan. But there was a soldier standing with her. I volunteer with a group called Homes For The Troops. Now those people really do care and I have watched it first hand. I hope we are able to pull this country back from the brink of destruction, so our soldiers have a reason to come home.

      Most respectfully, I was very sorry to read your response because as much as I dislike the current occupants of the White House, I would be double d@mned if I would let that supercilious snob and her cohort in crime dictate to me whether or not I would watch, attend or enjoy a particular sport or function.

      Sometimes, these invitations are done pro forma, like a few years ago when Hillary was invited to be the national chairperson or spokesperson for the Girl Scouts. Each and every First Lady has received that invitation and I think most have done it. Now, please understand, I’m not wild about the Girl Scouts (except the cookies – yum!) but I‘m not going to consign them to the 7th circle of Dante’s Inferno because of Hillary.

      If you don’t like NASCAR that much and want to give away your tickets, etc., that’s is your right, but be careful of rejecting every place that M.O. has been because you will limit yourself severely and also possibly hurt others that you never intended to.

      Reading these knee jerk reactions on the blog worries me because I don’t want us to end up like the liberals, or being played like Pavlov’s dog. The liberals don’t care about collateral damage, but we should and we should be sure we know what we are protesting, unlike the OWS crowd.

      I disagree. It shows a lack of respect to the office of the Presidency. Quite honestly it’s completely immature and distasteful. I could probably count with just one hand how many things I agree with or have in common with the Obama’s but the office of the Presidency is one that deserves respect.

      I’m sure some of you disagree but I would say to you that we should remain respectful and humble. Hold your booing and put that energy into getting your friends, family and neighbors to vote them out.

      This is great on more than one level. The pwers that be in NASCAR appear to left leaners for the democrats. They run their organisation like little leftist nazi’s. Example being the fines they doll out to the drivers and others when the dare speak out and say anything out of line with NASCAR’S rules. Promoting the ethanol sham, now switching over to fuel injection to make the cars “greener”…..is right out of the democrat play book. It makes me sick when I see them using a Toyota Prius for a pace car. They aslo promote that piece of crap Chevy volt like they are getting their orders directly from Government motors CEO obama.
      They are pandering to the liberal democrats that they are in bed with. Example being driver Brad Keslowski fined for speaking out against the new “green” fuel injection being a waste of money for the owners was fined $50,000.00 by NASCAR just for speaking his mind.
      So I think it‘s great that NASCAR put’s their princess out there for the big finally and she get’s booed. Ha….It’s sad because I think most of the owners, drivers, crew’s, and fans are for the most part conservatives, it’s the NASCAR leadership that still holds onto the democrat agenda. I think the fans gave a clear rebel yell as to what they think of the obummer administraition and NASCAR in general for their leftist pandering to the democratic agenda..

      My thoughts exactly. This was an ill concieved campaign ploy. Most NASCAR fans are down to earth working folks who love their country. Michelle has stated that she does not like America and is ashamed of our flag, and these folks know it. The disapproval would have been louder and longer but she had that wounded soldier and his family with her.

I would be willing to bet one of two things, either his wife made him go along with them two being there or he did it because they would have caused problems for him if he didn’t. I don‘t think it’s appropriate, but at the same time, she and biden went into a sport that is largely supported by fans who are conservatives. Would you really expect anything else?     Don’t you think it is interesting that NASCAR had a veteran there with some kids as well for the “Start Your Engines” ceremony? You know why? Because they knew if it was just Michelle and Biden’s wife, it would have been a boo fest. They tried to protect them and it still did not work.     I am 65 years old, born and raised in Washington, D.C., and did 30 years with the federal government. This is the first time I can ever recall hearing the spouse of the vice-president called “second lady.” I can only surmise that Biden and his ilk are have come up with this for ego purposes. Surely a writer for The blaze would not presume to refer to the V-P’s wife as the “second lady.” ??!! And as far as the “1st lady” reference goes, Michelle Obama made it clear to her staff soon after bHo was inaugurated that she didn’t like to be called “1st lady” — it smacked of traditions estblished by white women.

The second is being born to US citizen parents (plural). Both prerequisites must be satisfied. Obama absolutely failed to meet one prerequisite at birth and maybe both. He does not have TWO US citizen parents! Therefore he is not eligible.[1]

      Who says that being the child of two citizens is a requirement for establishing natural born citizenship? Not the Constitution, not any law or act of Congress, and definitely not the Supreme Court! When they finally ruled on the issue back in 1898, they said just the opposite – it doesn’t matter who your parents are as long as you‘re born here. I can’t see that any of the crackpots you reprint on your website have any source for this strange delusion other than their deliberate misinterpretation of an irrelevant Supreme Court decision that both predates their 1898 ruling, and specifically says that it is not setting a precedent or establishing a complete and exclusive definition of natural born citizenship.

      I want people to examine the Constitution, that’s the only way they will know that nothing in it supports your claims about what it means. You should get a motto of your own, like “The Constitution, I’ll tell you what it should say.”

      I read your article and it doesn’t say anything meaningful. First it wastes a lot of space establishing that there must logically be some difference between a citizen and a natural born citizen, even though nobody ever said there wasn’t. Proving this, which nobody ever denied, is not the same as proving that there is any difference other than the exclusion of naturalized citizens born in other countries. Then there’s a lot of irrelevant gobbledygook about the Naturalization Act. The one thing I don’t see is any law or court decision establishing that anyone born in this country is not a natural born citizen. You have never been able to cite any such authority for this weird belief, and you never will, because there is none.
