Did White House Just Admit We’re Getting Intelligence by Watching Al Jazeera?

During this afternoon’s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Jay Carney gave way to John Brennan, deputy national security adviser for homeland security and counterterrorism. Brennan became the point man for all things bin Laden. For the most part, he was a breath of fresh air from the usually smug Carney. But despite his refreshing demeanor, he revealed a shocking detail regarding the Arab news network, Al Jazeera.
After being asked if the Pakistani government had secured bin Laden’s compound since the raid that led to his death, Brennan responded by saying we could assume so because he had just seen some images on Al Jazeera:
Here‘s why that’s shocking:
1. The White House is watching Al Jazeera and is obviously a big fan. Although we knew that before, it still is surprising every time you hear that the administration is legitimizing the network.
2. Why are we getting operation, or dare I say intelligence, information by watching a news network, let alone Al Jazeera?
3. Do we not have any other sources on such a pivotal question than Al Jazeera? Are we even talking with the Pakistani government?
Maybe, however, number two above shouldn’t be surprising based on what happened earlier this year. In February, remember, CIA director Leon Panetta (who’s now been tapped as our next secretary of defense) came under fire for basing his premature prediction that former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak would step down on media reports.

Posted on May 2, 2011 at 3:20pmCold chills ran up my spine when I turned on the T.V. this morning to find out that Obama had been shot by U.S. Special Forces. It’s not a joke but it was a jolt when I learned that I heard the story wrong. Osama Bin Laden was the dead guy as my cobwebbed mind starting working just a little and the hair on my scalp seemed to lie down again and stop the curling. I thought I saw and heard but it was now only a ghost in my memory. By human hands U.S. special military forces killed the bastard Osama Bin Laden and our president was just fine.
Report Post »I stood frozen in my tracks watching the T.V. letting my first cup of coffee get cold. My hat and coat was tossed on the hat rack and for some reason it reminded me of a man standing in the corner. Just for a moment I forgot that I didn’t have a job and the macabre song of unemployment, no insurance and no returned calls starting playing in my head again. I turned my back on the empty man of clothes hanging on the wall behind me and stood alone in the gloomy drawing room, I heard my wife say my name as I was back again.
You couldn’t miss Osama Bin Laden’s house in his exclusive mansion like hideaway, if you were looking for him.
Osama, the killer of thousands living inside his mansion walls, dilapidated and unpainted and forbidding inside being guarded from death by just a few. How did our helpers miss him with all their passers-by surely they were looking as they made all those statements about being our friend.

They do this to check and see what is being reported in the Arab world and how it is disseminated, this is all after action intelligence gathering. Just because it is Al-Jezeera Network the CIA gets information from all of the media outlets fed to them. What should be asked is the why and how Al-Jezeera got there first will the wreckage of the UH60 Blackhawk helicopter was still smoldering.
I am not as stunned by this revelation, any Intelligence Agency would do the same to find any bits and pieces in the video that they could so they could confirm or deny any reports to the contrary.
So for those whining about the use of Al-Jezeera get a life and get the truth out there, because the Truth has no agenda.

They understand that the relationship can’t consist of complaining to each other about the differences we have.”
WHITE HOUSE POSITION #2:
WASHINGTON — White House advisers have stepped up their attacks on Fox News, claiming the cable television network is a Republican mouthpiece whose programming “is geared toward making money.”
Several critics questioned the wisdom of the move while one of President Barack Obama’s top adviser pledged Sunday that administration officials would still appear on the top-rated cable news network.
Last week, White House communications director Anita Dunn said Fox News operates “almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party.”
On Sunday, Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Obama’s chief of staff, said, “It is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective.”

Posted on May 2, 2011 at 5:06pmOne thing to consider is “intelligence” is discussed based on those who being spoke to. So when publicly speaking, one speaks in terms of intelligence that is available to the public.
When asked if the Pakistani government has seized the compound he replied he would assume so because he can see it on Al Jazeeza…
In his position he has to be careful not to speak for the Pakistani government, therefore, he nudged us that we Americans can assume such since Al Jazeeza is airing video from the compound. Al Jazeera wouldn‘t be there if the Pakistani government didn’t allow it….
Fox couldn’t air from the compound, MSNBC couldn’t air from the compound. CNN couldn’t air from the compound. Only source would be Al-Jazeera….
To not watch all networks in terms for intelligence would be ignorant and arrogant. I’m not supporting watching it as a citizen, but in terms of intelligence, ya and we’re dumb not to.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
