Irony? Rep. Louise Slaughter Says GOP in Washington ‘to Kill Women’

I can’t write this story without pointing out the irony: Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) — yes, Slaughter — has accused the GOP of coming to Washington “to kill women.” Oh, and she equated them to Nazis, too. Now to the story.

CNS News reports:

Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) said [Thursday] that the new Republicans elected to the House of Representatives last November came to Congress “to kill women.” She also likened Republican efforts to prohibit federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is endangered to actions taken by Nazis.

“This is probably one of the worst times we’ve seen because the numbers of people elected to Congress. I went through this as co-chair of the arts caucus,” Slaughter said. ”In ’94 people were elected simply to come here to kill the National Endowment for the Arts. Now they’re here to kill women.”

Slaughter was speaking out against H.R. 3, the “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.” That bill, CNS explains, “would make permanent the Hyde Amendment restrictions on federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape or incest or a threat to the life of the mother, and that would also prohibit people from taking tax deductions for payments made for abortions except in those circumstances.”

That’s when the Nazi reference came:

“You are allowed to have an abortion if you have been raped or it’s a matter of incest. However, you have to keep a receipt. Did you know that? It’s sort of like an old German Nazi movie. Show me your papers!”

As CNS points out, the text of the bill does not say anything about receipts.

      I love how the dems constantly pull words like, Nazi, extreme, ect. ect. to describe anyone who disagrees with them. They love to play with the “feelings” of people. They all “feel” things are supposed to be a certain way and when its not, resort to dirty politics, trickery, and covered up lies to further an agenda biased on lies and personal gain. While I agree with the pursuit of happiness, doing it at the cost of our (*hell, I’ll just say it, anyone NOT in politics) freedoms and our real money, (not the money that we just magically make up because we don’t really have a clue how bad our debt problem is… hence the shutdown) all of it is simply not right.       What bothers me is not so much what this person has to say but the fact that a mojority of voters in her district keep sending her back to Congress. How does someone like her keep winnig reelection?? Is there no one running against her? Do the voters think she represents their wishes? If she does what does that say about the voters?       Unfortunately a very effective tactic is to use emotional charged words and language that stirrs people emotions so as to create a more sympathetic environment for the “message”. To those who see the tactic it has the opposite effect because it creates resentment from trying to be manipulated, yet to “believers” in the cause it is not seen as manipulative at all but rather accurate and descriptive. To those who are then left in the middle are the ones that are really preyed upon. These people typically include those who don’t follow news stories too often or read opinions of these types of issues. This would include to some degree younger persons and those who have little to no interest in “what goes on” yet still catches headlines and sound bytes as their way of staying informed. It has been used by many to characterize the opposition in a negative light so as to marginalize or castigate their arguments and/or motives. This does not mean that it is necessarily a conscious thought out plan. Many times those who use emotionally charged words and language tend to be emotionally charged on the issue themselves and this leads them to depend on emotion in certain instances rather than rational thought and reason. Emotions are not necessarily bad they can give our reasoning passion, courage, and emphasis, however, they can also override thought and reason and lead to foolishness and unsound reasoning.

      I do find it interesting that this woman would use the term Nazi for trying to defund abortion since the Nazis were all for abortion. And don’t forget they had a type of “universal” health care system.

      When the Nazis came to power in 1933 one of the first acts Hitler did was to legalize abortion. By 1935 Germany with 65 million people was the place where over 500,000 abortions were being performed each year. Although Hitler and his government encouraged Aryan women to produce a lot of children, he left the matter of abortion and all its facets in the hands of a decidedly pro- abortion medical establishment. Even in the midst of Nazi propaganda aimed at increasing the Aryan population, scores of Aryan women still chose to abort their unborn children. The medical publication Deutsches Aerzleblatt reported the abortions in Germany each year reached a half-million.

      SLAUGHTER supports the killing of the unborn, through abortion, and wants the American taxpayer to subsidize it.

      SLAUGHTER understand abortion to be what? What happens at the conclusion of an abortion Ms. SLAUGHTER? The unborn male or female…independent…unique and growing (which does not end at birth) is DEAD…SLAUGHTERED…by various means…dismemberment, poisoning…or if the baby survives the abortion they may experience a knife of scissors to the back of the skull, where the abortionist would then severe their spinal cord….or they may just be left to die on a table or trash bin…alone (B.O. supported this activity while “serving” in Illinois).

      I don’t see anything there about when abortion is ALLOWED or not, just when federal taxpayer money can be used to pay for it. Obviously, women’s health is covered with the rape, incest, and “threat to life” provisions.       For every two people entering an abortion clinic, only half survive. Of those who are killed, half are women. So the real truth behind this poor woman’s lie, is that she has been aiding the killing of women for over 20 years. Does she not see the blood on her hands? And typical of a democrat, she is accusing others of doing what she does – promote the killing of women. Funny in a sad sort of way.

      Who knew the GOP was the party of puppy killers and were starving babies….So let me get this correct, the party of the 60s racist and dixiecrats helped set up Planned Parent “hood” to kill babies of blacks and minorities (trust me, I am not making this up), is now saying the GOP are Natzis? So the party that set up Planned Parent “hood” is the same one ignoring our rights and removing our freedoms and wanting to tax us to pay for it? So my religion is opposed attimately to abortions and I am breaking the laws of the church against my will. Well, the Notsees are the Obama voters and the DNC, who blindly ignore us, who have to pay for their nonsensical BS. I like having a sayso in how I go to hell to spend eternal damnation. IE, if you personally want to go to hell…you pay for it!

      understand oly partially your feelings about the nazi reference.lets look at th facts.national socialist(marxist doctrine derived from collectivimsand hegelian thouight) workers party(i.e. labor unions – these were dicussed in depth in the letters between marx and engels and in das capital) so, i have no problem calling a commie duck a commie duck. boxer is the nazi here. please lets not forget pelosi,frank,reid,rangle,and so many more that have pointed the finger at us. don’t they know that in pointing at us 3 of thier fingers point back to them?just saying.

      Kill Women? Not likely, perhaps a few who use back alleys, but I do know for a fact, they have no feelings about KILLING Babies. I’d rather see a few trashy women hit the bucket and save the baby. This Slaughter woman is a menace to society and should be voted out for the lack of concern for babies, and only cares about saving women who knew to use birth control. Personal choices are given freely and they skrew that up too.
