Disgusted Christie Unloads on Warren Buffett: ‘Just Write a Check and Shut Up’

We already brought you an earlier highlight from Chris Christie’s interview with Piers Morgan Tuesday night (where he wouldn‘t acknowledge Santorum’s momentum), but we couldn’t let this go unnoticed: while talking about taxing the rich, the NJ governor let Warren Buffett — who’s begging to be taxed more — have it.

“He should just write a check and shut up,” Christie told Morgan. “Really, and just contribute okay? The fact of the matter is that I’m tired of hearing about it. If he wants to give the government more money, he’s got the ability to write a check. Go ahead and write it.”

      Hold up, get him to pay the half billion $$$ his hedge fund owes and is fighting the IRS over. After that, if he wants to Share The Wealth let by all means and then thank him for being a good American.
      I think those brown racing stripes on each side of his nose is from kissing up to obama. The best tool to fight the IRS is to have the White House at your back.

      Two nights ago when my husband was doing our AZ state taxes, at the very end there was a page asking if you like to donate money to various causes from your return.

      One of the options was “I didn’t pay enough in taxes”. Seriously!

      @hunter1riley Morgan and his wife Marion Shalloe, Divorced in 2008. An annulment does not mean you are legally divorced, you are still married according to man’s law. People with children can have their marriage annulled. But they are still considered married to the church “Nothing can break that bond, “as long as you both shall live.“ ”For all intents and purposes, in the catholic church it states “Practically, this means that a separated or divorced person should live in a way that reflects the fact that they’re still married. They shouldn’t marry, live with, or even date someone else. To do so would be adulterous. Someone who is divorced or separated should be celibate. ” But times are changing, WE can see that from judging the deeds of Pelosi and Biden who both profess to be Catholic. They should both be excommunicated.

      The issue here is founded in slave principle. >> The government has a “claim” on your labor earnings. It is NOT essentially yours to own; it is theirs to do what they want with. They will only “let” you keep some of your labor earnings because they only will recognize your “NEED” not your “RIGHT” to it. The amount that they will allow you keep is for them and only them to decide.

      Given his investment success over the past 50 years I would say Buffet has a better understanding on the economy and tax policy than Christie. Christie like most, if not all politicians, work for the wealthy individuals and corporations that helped him get elected…. not the people. For example, he is another individual who continue to advocate for private, for-profit charter schools even though study after study shows that they produce not better results. Even in those cases where they skim off the better students. Why would we want to pay the same amount of money that we do to public schools, knowing that the company would be spending less on actual education. Education, like healthcare is a social good and should be handled in a manner consistent with that.

    warren b wants tax increase for everyone,but he’ll hide in the tax loopholes…do you think the kennedys,john F kerrys,polsies,reids,and it goes on and on even the (r) are in on it…..let me tell you how taxes work okay… the poor can’t pay,enough said, the rich hire tax lawyers,tax accountants, cpa’s and put their money safe places…now the middle class is stuck paying……it‘s always like that and it’s the (d) that hit the middle class while saying they are for the middle class…..comeon you haven’t figured that this adm. as well as (d) do opposite of what they say and what they say is usually conservative speak.

      This is so true. for in my life time I have listened to both parties say “lets cut taxes” they have not gone down. they just hide the tax someplace else. Kinda like what they do here in Calif. We pay 5 cent’s a can to encourage all to recycle. okay I can do that. But wait. As of January we now pay a tax on that nickle per can? Obummer just smiled big for us and said I am going to get you 40-80 extra dollars a month in your take home. But the price of gas went up. Hmmm how do they tax gasoline? So much for your tax break huh?

      Funny though TEXASBETA…Obama’s father was Kenyan an African national….more likely Obama’s ancestors were black slavers who sold slaves to white slavers. History tells us that the white slavers did not venture too far away from the coast of Africa because it was simply too dangerous.       Unfortunately, we have believed everything we were taught in schools, and that was only half truths. If anyone is interested, please look up the word Melungeons. These people were believed to have been already settled in the U.S. before even the “settlers” arrived. They were not “slaves”…at first. But they would eventually be caught up in slavery because their skin was dark. Their farms and other belongings were taken by those who simply wanted what they had; they were persecuted just the same. And enough with the Slavery talk. It wasn’t only blacks who were affected – it was many others as well. Some of it is still ongoing even today. Let’s speak out for those who are still enduring it, not just for those who only read about it in history books.

    The whole smoke screen about capital gains VS income taxes wouldn’t work at all if people took the time to understand the difference between the two. It doesn’t conveniently fit on a bumper sticker though so, most Americans won’t figure it out.

      Just kidding, you’re right as usual. The “poor” among us will vote for more freebies. The “rich” are will continue to vote to keep their friends/tools in power so they never have to pay their fair share while publicly saying they want to pay more.

      Meanwhile, cap gains versus income tax will never be understood by the poor when they only file a 1040EZ at most.

    Here’s an example of critical thinking. Do you know why in Islam they feel the need to enforce Sharia over people which of course forces people to live as they think their God wants them to? It’s because as with America, most people in their heart don’t believe in God. Otherwise they wouldn’t have to force them.       TIM, I have no idea what you have said and I‘m sure most Blazers don’t. Anytime I see anything with your screen name of former screen name I bypass your posts which is rather easy to do since you have so many of them. People might take you and your viewpoints more seriously if you could:

      1) stay on topic
      2) learn to effectively make your point
      3) not dominate the entire first page with your multiple posts

      Buffet is the typical lying ******* who is no different than Soros, Biden, Kerry or the rest of them. They want to raise taxes on everyone but themselves. Before Biden was to be vice-president he gave little to nothing in charitable contributions. Obama was no better. Buffet takes a small salary from his company even though he makes billions just to avoid paying taxes. Kerry hides a yacht in another state to avoid taxes on it.When the ******* so-called journalists do a story on Buffet they show a house he claims to live in that’s worth about $150K but don’t mention his $25 Mil mansion that he actually lives in. It’s time to eradicate these vermin from our Government and put them in their place, the gutter, say someplace like California.

      I’m not a Buffet fan but he does pay what he owes. He’s not breaking any tax laws. His taxes are from capital gains, not income. They are taxed at different rates. The lib press and Democrats wont tell you that.

      No TEDDY, Buffett is behind on his taxes for YEARS with Berkshire Hathaway to the tune of about $1 Billion with a “B” and is supposedly working with the feds to get current. Refer to the link in a post above. The question should be……why isn’t the man in jail?

      Happy Birthday President Geo. Washington from those of us who care. Remember when Warren Buffett turned all of his income over to The Gates Foundation (Melissa and Bill Gates)? It was reported they gave the IMF which takes charity contributions (grants) as well as what the countries who are represented give (US being highest contributer) 2 billion dollars. I did not write down the year. In 2005-2006 2/3 of aid which had risen from 9.7 billion to 26.2 trillion was concentrated in 4 countries. Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria and Sudan. US Board of Governors USA are Timothy Geithner and Ben Bernanke
      Nov.5,2010 Executive Board of IMF-approved proposals for major overhaul of funds,quotas and governance strengthening funds legitimacy and effectiveness. My opinion Warren Buffett is just another control freak and contributes to other countries but wants all of us to foot the bills with him (Gates Foundation). Great going Chris Christy. Wish he would say UN out of US and US out of UN.

    That is pretty much what is being said by reasonable people – if you think the rich should pay more then send in more. Ya gotta like Christie for saying what others think.       The so-called “rich” do pay taxes flipper…in fact they pay a disproportionately huge percentage of all the revenue from federal income taxes….what is hideous about Warren Buffet is that he resorts to this total fake argument about his secretary paying a higher tax “rate”….but NEVER EVER once looked at any camera and explained that her annual salary from earned income is higher than his is. To further illustrate what a phony trick pony Buffet is……have the Curmudgeon from Nebraska explain to you how he routinely spends a great deal of time and money and effort trying to avoid being responsible for any federal estate taxes being assessed on his estate when he croaks. Now mind you I despise the federal estate tax for sure…..and I blame no one for trying to avoid it all costs……but who is Warren Buffet to spew complete diarrhea about how the wealthy should pay MORE in federal taxes when at the same time he is doing whatever he can to avoid paying federal estate tax????? So guess what that makes him? A rich liberal a$$ hat thats what it makes him.

      ……cripes…the nerve of him imploring what other “wealthy” people should do tax-wise…..when he is simultaneously doing the exact opposite of what he expects them to do..

    It needs to be worded like this…”Mr. Buffet, if you feel that you are not being taxed enough then go ahead and right a check for the amount of what YOU feel is your fair share.”

    This would put him in a spot of “what do I do? To much for me in order to make it look good to the public or to little for the public so I feel better.” It is a no win situation for him.

    Hear, hear! And all the liberal celebrities who want to pay more can step right up as well! Why is it they can only pay more if the government makes them? They all say some version of “tax me more please”. Are they truly that dumb to not realize they can voluntarily pay as much as they want anytime they want?

    No. The agenda is only that the rest of us (well, I mean the 53% who actually pay taxes) should pay more to advance their idealistic fantasy land. How ’bout since we’re paying the taxes we actually get to set the agenda?
