Dixville Notch: In First New Hampshire District It’s a Romney-Huntsman Tie

DIXVILLE NOTCH, N.H. (AP) — Voters in the tiny New Hampshire village famed for casting the first ballots in the nation’s first presidential primary have found themselves in a tie between Republicans Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman.

Nine ballots were cast in New Hampshire’s Dixville Notch just after midnight.

Romney and Huntsman received two votes each. Coming in second with one vote apiece were Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.

For the Democrats, President Barack Obama received three votes.

The nine residents who cast their ballots include three registered Republicans and two registered Democrats. Four other voters haven’t declared a party.

Dixville Notch is an unincorporated village in northern New Hampshire just below the Canadian border. The town clerk, Rick Erwin, says that the nine registered voters make up the entire Dixville Notch population.

Paul states his intentions clearly enough, and no the media has been silent on his nuke nuttiness. You only had to watch the first Republican primary to hear the words from Paul’s own mouth.

Ron Paul voted against a law to protect gun manufacturers from being sued if their guns were used in the commission of a crime. He was one of 3 Republicans to vote against that law. Yeah, he’s a great Conservative, isn’t he?

Ron Paul is going to single-handedly abolish several Federal Departments, keep the United States out of wars with their enemies, and give candy to all the Libertarian children. Oh, and I bet he’ll legalize pot. He sounds too good to be true.

Why DR. Ron Paul is our best bet to beat Obama (more so than Romney)

We are ALWAYS told that elections are determined by the “independents and moderate”.. Well guess who wins those voters?

CNN did exit polling in Iowa and found the following (google cnn exit polls Iowa for more info)

    • Ron Paul won the Independent vote by more than 2:1 (43% to 19%) over Romney
    • Ron Paul won the Moderate vote by (40% to 35%) over Romney
    • Ron Paul won the first time voters by (33% to 17%) over Romney
    • For voters who want a “True Conservative” (37% to 1%) over Romney
    • Paul and Romney tied (26% each) for the urban vote – typically strong democratic vote.

Dont let the Media fool you that Romney is the only one who can beat Obama by “winning the Middle”

    Vote Ron Paul for Liberty

Glenn’s support of Israel is a complicated one to put together. It’s easy to say its for religious reasons, but it’s more about defending Israel from groups of people who have openly declared that they want to destroy Israel. In this manner, Glenn sees it as a threat to commit the atrocities of the Holocaust all over again. This is however, a bit against the concept of being non-interventionist and is very much like Bush’s doctrine of preemptive attacks when considering bombing Iran because of the thought of nukes, which is easily manipulated into being aggressive military action using false intel as a reason. So, is Glenn’s heart in the wrong place? No, not at all, but his support is open to others’ manipulating it and a system of showing favoritism toward certain countries (Israel) when there is any debate.

So is Beck a neo-con who wants to invade the entire Middle East and use Israel as an American puppet? I don’t believe so, but his belief structure can be easily misinterpreted and I fear he can support others who do not have the same goal in mind but are willing to say they support Israel.

I’ve heard much more against the Patriot Act from Glenn than strong support of it. Now, in the past I believe he had thought of it as a necessary evil, but that’s what happens when you start trying to build defenses to prevent every sort of bad thing from ever happening to Americans, which was the reaction after 9/11

Glenn talkings about NDAA and the Patriot act are one thing. Supporting candidates that are for them are another. Actions speak louder than words. People on here wonder why some of us are pissed off at Glenn and think he and the Blaze have shifted against what he used to preach. This is a perfect example.

While on Fox Glenn was opposed to unconstitutional wars, the patriot act, raising the debt ceiling, getting involved in overseas affairs, and a assault on our freedoms. Then get goes and supports two candidates that are for all of those things and even expanding them.

I know, I‘m highly frustrated with Glenn’s positions because I feel like he’s ignoring the big picture while focusing on the small picture. He’s been pushing candidates who come across as religious and strong supporters of Israel, which keeps with the direction he was moving, but he‘s missing the fact that these candidates are against so many of his other views and he’s putting way too much weight into a couple factors.

Romney has an impressive record of saving 70% of the companies, saving jobs & creating new jobs. Now our candidates are focusing on those that didn’t make it but in this instance, the investors did lose their money & the taxpayers didn’t have to pick the tab. Ironically, the comments in these threads reflect a predictable social pattern.
Follow the one who steps in front of the parade and tells all to follow because they were in charge of the parade before it started.

    Fools

Individuals running for political office have one thing in common.
They have a deep lust to be in charge of OUR money.
They can make money for producing nothing, and they know it.
All they have to do is convince enough dummies to get elected to office, then the game is on.

It is ALL about the money … period
It has nothing to do with your desire to smoke pot, screw prostitutes or hide your head in the sand
Our government at ALL levels has become nothing more than a legalized crime scene

Corporations donate to candidates as well as the elected, on both sides, and they do it for protection and favor, not because they like the person

Wake up idiots and start being Americans

I really don’t care that Romney and Huntsman are Mormons, since it won’t have any effect on the political landscape of this Nation. Think back when JFK was President. Was the entire Nation required to become Catholics?

A President can be President and still have their religious beliefs, or non-religious beliefs without the possibility of any Citizen bowing to their religion or non-religion because our Constitution clearly states that we have freedom OF religion. Our Constitution does not allow our government to establish ANY government sanctioned, religion.

I’m not a Romney or Huntsman supporter, but it has nothing to do with what religion they follow. I don‘t like Romney because he’s the establishment “it’s his turn” candidate, and I don‘t like Huntsman because he’s not conservative enough for me. That leaves Paul, Gingrich, Santorum and Perry.

Paul is too “way out there”; I like Gingrich because I believe he’s extremely intelligent; and I like Santorum because he’s a good man, – BUT I hate the sweater vests, because they seem to be a gimmick. Perry has been a disaster in the debates – maybe he’s not very quick thinking on his feet. For me, it’s either Gingrich or Santorum, unless Perry can get his brain and tongue to work together at the same time.

That is not how traditional conservatives view the world. There is no such society that I am aware of, where we’ve had radical individualism and that it succeeds as a culture.” — Rick Santorum

Problems arise when she thinks Santorums problem is just his vest, and Perry and Newt are no different from them. Ron Paul is the only real choice and chance we have a real change. She thinks he is “way out there” well I would like to know if she thinks the Constitution is “way out there”.

I will not vote for one that doesnt believe in my beliefs. I am not worried about life on earth. You sir though should be concerned about your faith. As much as you think you are following Jesus Christ and God of the Bible you are not. Its sad some many have been tricked into thinking this. If you believe you can become exalted and become a god, or that God was once a man then you are not worshiping the Jesus Christ and God from the Bible.

I will say this again for you clearly. If Mormons are right ( which they arent) then I get to go to Heaven. If Evangelicals are right, you along with 14million other Mormons will go to hell just like Muslims, Hindus, and Scientologist.

Do you believe you can be exalted and become a god?

Do you believe that God was once a man and lived on another planet?

If you believe either of those two things you are a Mormon, but you are not following the Jesus Christ and God of the Bible. Its very clear.

Wow Scott let’s finish the story!

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has a small lead in New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary after two tiny towns cast their ballots shortly after midnight Tuesday.
The voting kicked off in the small village of Dixville Notch, whose residents are famous for being the first to cast their votes.
Romney and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman tied with two votes each in the town. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Congressman Ron Paul each got one. President Obama got three votes.

The small town only has nine registered voters. The nine residents who cast their ballots include three registered Republicans and two registered Democrats. Four other voters haven’t declared a party.
In the town of Hart’s Location, which has a population of 41, Romney gained a small lead.
He received five votes, Paul received four votes, Huntsman two votes and Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Gingrich one each, according to WMUR-TV. Obama received ten votes, The Union Leader reported.
That gave Romney a total seven votes, while Paul picked up five votes, Huntsman four votes, Gingrich two votes and Perry a lone vote.
Both villages opened their polling places at midnight, a tradition that began so railway workers could vote before their early morning shifts.

ATTENTION..TO ALL WHO ARE NOT YET DECIEVED BY THE CULT OF MORMONISM THAT ROMNEY AND HUNTSMAN BELONG TO, READ THIS AND TELL ME IF YOU WANT CULT MEMBERS LEADING US.
How the cult works; 1. In Temple recommend interviews, members are told that the interviewer represents Jesus and should answer all questions as if they were talking to Jesus. This is a break down of barriers designed to condition the member to completely submit to church’s authority2. Naked touching in the temple washing and anointing ritual also breaks down barriers, creates submission to church authority [This eternal ordinance was changed in Jan 2005 see mormon366.htm ]  3. New name, suggests reassignment of identity4. Temple endowment experience is hypnotic, produces a relaxed, even sleepy alpha like state for receptivity to church indoctrination, oaths, instruction, commitment. Similar to Moonie repetitive indoctrination sessions where chanting, singing, and long periods of lecturing happen.5. Secret signs, tokens, passwords to get into Mormon heaven. If one does not have this exclusive information, they will be denied access past certain angels along the way back to God’s presence. This is an element of control designed to produce exclusivity6. Requirement to wear church approved underwear night and day, conditioned to believe they possess special protections. Another design to control via exclusivity.

      7. Strict tithing requirements. Yearly face to face confrontation with a high church authority to declare to him (as the lord’s representative) how much money the member was able to give to the church. Encouraged to give everything that the lord blesses you with even ones time, talents to the building up of the LDS church. In addition to tithes, generous fast offerings are encouraged. Giving to other charities or worthy causes outside the church is heavily discouraged. The member intuitively knows that the tithing, fast offering, missionary funds and perpetual education funds must be donated to first… and only THEN should outside charities be considered. This cult characteristic, to me, falls under extreme duress to give only to the church organization. The member is even told that if the tithing is not “honest” they will literally burn up at the Lord’s 2nd coming.8. Outsiders not permitted to enter the temple. Exclusivity.9. Members believe Jesus literally walks the halls of the temples and no other buildings on earth receive this privilege. There is only Faith promoting rumors to back this up of course. Yet it is a very strong and widely held belief in the church that this is so.10. There is a blatant Us vs. Them mentality. The LDS testimony conditions members to “know” based on feelings that they are the only ones on earth with the Truth or approved plan of God. Everyone else is wrong and must be saved or baptized into the LDS church.

      14. Missions are extreme examples of Cult experience.A. 80 hrs a week free labor (Missionary makes no money) in fact the missionary pays largely for his own meals, lodging, transportation and clothing out of his own pocket. The missionary is told that the 2 years in service is a “tithing” of the first 19 years of his life that God gave him/her.B. When not working in field one is encouraged to read scripture & pray constantlyC. High amounts of self-indoctrination and mass indoctrination at zone, district meetings. Guilt tactics are used. If low recruit numbers are happening, the missionary is frequently blamed. Reasons for low recruit numbers are tied to unlikely reasons such as a lack of dedication or commitment to mission rules or even a suggestion that too many missionaries were masturbating too frequently in the past month. This is a gross abuse of mind control.D. Encouraged to frequently recite scripture and hymns, carry a prayer in ones heart at all times so as to fortify ones efforts to keep rules, remain “sanctified to the cause” and not have impure thoughts or masturbate.E. No outside influences, no TV, no radioF. Must always be with companion except for showers and toiletG. Confined to one area, not permitted to go outside geographic boundariesH. Extreme limited contact with family, letters once a week, no phone call home but twice a yearI. Primary job is to recruit new members, give the prospect milk and NO meat doctrine. Deception on it’s followers.

      15. If one ever leaves the church, they are told and conditioned to think they will be sent to outer darkness in the afterlife. There is a fear of imminent damnation if they leave the group.16. One man (the prophet figure) speaks for God. Members see this as extremely positive as they believe the prophet will never lead them astray. When confronted that prior prophets in history have been wrong or even preached harmful doctrine that was widely held up as God’s word (racial discrimination) the member quickly dismisses this. This is supported by the perceived good works the church produces and the notion that Mormonism produces good people and strong families.

ASK YOURSELF FELLOW AMERICANS, DO YOU WANT ANOTHER CULT MEMBER LIKE OBAMA IN THE WHITEHOUSE? ARE YOU PREPARED TO LET THESE DECIEVED AND BRAINWASHED FOLLOWERS OF ANTICHRIST TEACHINGS LEAD YOU AND OUR COUNTRY? IF THEY WON‘T KEEP GOD’S WORD WILL THEY KEEP THE CONSTITUTION? WAS THERE EVER A CULT THAT WAS GOOD FOR AMERICA? DO YOU WANT MORE ANTICHRIST SPIRITS IN THE OVAL OFFICE PUSHING US INTO THE NEW WORLD ORDER? THIS IS WHAT WE WILL GET IF THESE CULTISTS SLIP IN.

ALMOST FORGOT THESE FACTS….11. LDS church has more evidence to prove it false than it does to prove it true, yet members see this as a test of faith and God’s way of strengthening his “Elect”. Or members have been conditioned to never look at this material. Very similar to the Moonie approach that outside information was evil and falls under satanic origins. Anything that could potentially deprogram a Moonie was satanic. Family members, spouses, newspaper articles, radio… you get the idea.12. Members are encouraged strongly to never look at “anti” literature. Yet early apostles encouraged the discovery of truth and preached openly that truth would stand up to highest degree of scrutiny. This was before damning evidences to the church’s platform of ideology was widely known or even challenged. During this era, the church had a sense of infallibility as the saints were securely sequestered in the desert of Utah. Completely isolated from the outside world.13. Bishop interviews are obsessed with sexual purity for youth & missionaries. Adults have been told which sexual acts are permissible and which are not. Though, this is not consistent throughout the church. Young people must disclose any sexual acts, even minor ones. This young person (male or female) believes they are talking to Jesus Christ’s representative in these interviews. Lying to the bishop is equated to lying to Jesus.

Dude, get off your soap box.
The office of the president of the United States is not about whether you’re a Christian.
We need a man that can run our country. I could care less if that man happens to be a mormon.
In fact, as a Christian myself, I‘d rather NOT have a Christian in the WH because I don’t want our leader bible thumping from the oval office. I want my president to run our country. I get my spiritual leadership from my bible and from my pastor.

LOL! You actually try to smear The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and claim we’re a cult by saying we pay a full tithe, go on missions, and “obsess” over sexual purity for our youth??? I’m actually laughing as I write this post… that sounds like a pretty scary church. Oh, you forgot about how we don’t smoke, drink, or do drugs – ahhhhh!

Your obsession with the “Mormons” is far past the line of sanity. Seriously, you might want to see a therapist. If you disagree with our beliefs, then act like a rational human being and don’t join our Church – pretty simple eh?

When we go on our missions, all we do is share what we believe and ask people to pray about it. So I guess when people feel the Spirit and choose to convert (which happens a lot since we’re one of the fastest growing churches in the world) you would probably say they were “brainwashed” by God.

First off, I do not have an obsession with mormons nor do I hate them, but there are two runninhg for office and that becomes my business, Second, The only one’s that even give a half heartedcattempt to defend yourself know what I posted was true, convenient you picked out tithing and purity to talk about because it mskes you look good, but what about Jesus and Satan being brothers? Whst about your belief in becoming a God? Are you ashamed to admit you believe those unscriptural doctrines?
Am I surprised you camn only defend your cult by saying how many years you have been decieved amng ignoring 98% of what I was posting? As a cult member of course your going to defend it, some of david koresh’s followers still defend him. BUT WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS YOU ASK? Is it because I hate mormons in any way! NO! Is it because I want to be mean? No! Am I trying to convert you? NO!

I bring this up for one reason and will continue to as long as romney and huntsman are running for president. The reason why is because I don‘t want someone that doesn’t have enough sense to stay away from a cult making decisions over my life. Would you want David Koresh making decisions over your life? Your cult should be ok but not his? You can say religion shouldn’t matter all you want, bringing up kennedy is irrelevant, romney and huntsman are running, kennedy is dead. I understand alot of you blazers are mormon and congregate here because of glen beck, Your numbers will never make your cult n
