DNC Chief: Dems Shunning the Party are ‘Nuts’

In an interview with Fox News that will air Thursday evening, Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine doubled down on his election rhetoric, saying Democratic candidates should “be proud of” of the party’s “accomplishments,” even though many of those policies are unpopular with the public these days. 
“I do think Democrats thinking that they can, you know, hold the Democratic label at arm’s length, I do think that’s nuts,” he said. “You put the label after your name, be proud of it.”
The Hill reports:
Kaine made similar comments in August, but his most recent remarks come as several endangered Democrats have gone to extreme lengths to distance themselves from the party in an effort to appeal to voters in their conservative-leaning districts.
Democratic Rep. Gene Taylor (Miss.), for example, said this week that he voted for Republican nominee John McCain — and not Obama — in the 2008 presidential election.
In the final weeks of the midterm campaign season, President Obama and Democratic leaders have largely shied away from campaigning for endangered Democrats running in traditionally Republican states and districts, instead choosing to focus on motivating the party’s base to drum up its enthusiasm about voting.
While he thinks Democrats who are now shunning the party are “nuts,“ he concedes that ”people have to do what they think is right for themselves and for their constituents.”
“You can go into the reddest district in America and say Democrats passed equal pay for women in this country and it’s a good thing,” he said. “Or say, Democrats saved an auto industry that was in danger of being carved up and sold off. That’s a good thing. So you can pick the accomplishments you want to highlight.”

I campaigned in a Democrat Congressional district and we ran upon the Democratic incumbent himself standing on a street corner, although you would hardly know it. He had his large campaign signs hiding his face so no one driving by would know it was him. That, ladies, is a very good sign.

Third parties are about to become a reality for both Americans (us) and the Marxists (them) that call themselves Americans. And its not just the Dems that need to worry about this modern-day reality.
The Democrats are about to get a serious challenge from the Green Party. For those of you that haven’t been paying attention… The Green Party is the new Marxist Party (think Van Jones). While on the other side of the ideologic spectrum, Republicans need to worry about The Tea-Party becoming a huge force and ready to strike in 2012. If the Republicans win next week, and go back to their old ways, then the Tea-Party will explode onto the scene as a powerful National Party.
Unless the GOP can get back to core principles, the battle of 2012 is going to be between the Greens and the Tea-Party. My money is on the Tea-Party if my prediction comes true.

You have to wonder sometimes if maybe having additional parties would actually help the country, as long as they hold to the Constitution and the wishes of the American People (as in We elect You, We can Fire You). I look at numerous other countries having more than two parties, and the sheer amount of effort it takes to make a coalition work. So, honestly I do not know.

The dems have been bringing the most bizarre groups together, with little in common. It’s time for us to unite with our own love of God and country.
