Secret Service Probing Ted Nugent’s Obama Comments After DNC Rep. Goes on 30-Tweet Rampage

Note: the Secret Service is now apparently involved. See the update at the bottom of the story.

First it was DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz who was awfully upset with Tea Partying rock star Ted Nugent for comments he made at the NRA’s national convention in St. Louis on Saturday.

Now it’s DNC Press Secretary Melanie Roussell’s turn to be shocked that Ted Nugent, nicknamed “The Motor City Madman,” made some controversial remarks.

“Our government is wiping it’s a– with the Constitution,” Nugent said before a gathering of NRA attendees this past weekend.

“We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everyone here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense?” Nugent asked.

Nugent called on the NRA attendees to go home and recruit “everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration.”

“If you can’t galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we’re done. We’ll be a suburb of Indonesia next year,” Nugent said. “Our president, attorney general, vice president, Hillary Clinton–they’re criminals. They’re criminals. Who doesn’t know the crimes our government are committing?”

“If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” Nugent added.

“And if you take that adamant ‘we the people’ defiance,” Nugent continued, “We’re Americans because we defy the king. We didn’t negotiate and compromise with the king. We defied the emperors. We are patriots. We are bravehearts.”

He concluded with a battle metaphor: “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November! Any questions?”

Not long after the NRA interview, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz Tweeted the following:

“Not content to let Debbie Wasserman Schultz have all the mock-worthy thunder regarding Ted Nugent’s comments,” the Twitchy staff writes, “DNC press secretary Melanie Roussell took to Twitter in a bit of a snit.”

“No word yet if she’s planning a snit over the despicable Bill Maher or Hilary Rosen,” the Twitchy staff writes, “but The Nuge? ZOMG worst thing ever!”

“Look to your own backyard first, cupcake,” the site added. “This includes vile people whose money the President refuses to return and mom-bashers who have visited him at the White House at least thirty-five times.”

UPDATE:

Apparently, Ted Nugent’s “in jail or dead” comment isn’t sitting well with Secret Service.

“We are aware of it, and we’ll conduct an appropriate follow up,” a spokesman for the Secret Service told New York magazine.

In addition, the DNC has drafted an online petition demanding Mitt Romney denounce “Nugent’s hateful speech.”

Nugent talked about the controversy with frequent Beck radio guest host Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo:

Lastly, while being interviewed by conservative talk show host Dana Loesch Tuesday, Nugent refused to apologize for Saturday’s remarks and said they were “100 percent positive,” the New York Times reports.

      Folks, let’s try to get back on topic. The comments in question are these:

      “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year…” Hard to tell if that’s a threat to the President of the United States or a suicide notice. In any case it’s kind of weird.

      Then he said, “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?” That’s pretty violent imagery. By itself that’s nothing but added to the comment above a picture starts to form.

      Then he said (and the Blaze failed to quote him on this), “It isn’t the enemy that ruined America. It’s good people who bent over and let the enemy in. If the coyote’s in your living room ******* on your couch, it’s not the coyote’s fault. It’s your fault for not shooting him.”

      Taken together, those comments are pretty provocative, perhaps even comments designed to incite a reaction on those listening him, people like Anders Behring Breivik, other other fruitcakes on the right.

      Sorry, it’s not a joke when someone with a public forum makes remarks like this, remarks that suggest violence and encourage the nuts like Anders Behring Breivik or Byron Williams or Scott Roeder. We know how that turned out don’t we? Dead people.

      WHYWONDER, Please explain your idea of at least a good start as to how to solve this nation’s complex problems such as these single stay at home moms. So far the left has done nothing more than trap them with a minor pittance of an income. Then compound that with the threat of ending the pittance should they get into the work force making any amount of money. Yeah, Clinton signed it, but it took a Republican Congress to get it started by having such moms or even individuals on assistance could take jobs and ween themselves off the assistance eventually. Hopefully when they learn to make a better wage. Those helpful programs ended shortly after 0bama assumed office. Furthermore, the left has built huge brick multi room warehouses where the families and/or individuals are surrounded by unbelievable amounts of crime. Yeah…the left has done so much for these people of all races and virtually no hope. You should be really proud of yourself for such an underachievement, right? When people put themselves into the game and make an earning for themselves, their spirits can be lifted, and should. It is certainly not disparaging to teach and help people to become at least a bit self reliant. That “teach a man to fish…” thing.
      Another point regarding that hatred for those who disagree, you may want to take a glance in a mirror.

      “Earlier this month, President Obama addressed the media, as well as guests at a number of his campaign fundraisers, on the importance of the Supreme Court backing his health care legislation. The President even went so far in his speeches as to imply that to rule against his Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act would be to perform an unconstitutional act in accordance with the powers vested in that body from the Constitution.

      On April 16th, Congressman and Presidential candidate Ron Paul rebutted this argument and plea by the Executive Branch, and even went so far as to say that the President’s understanding of the Constitution is so out of touch that perhaps he should give his former students a refund for failed academia when he taught Constitutional law as a professor in at the University of Chicago.

      Last week President Obama made some rather shocking comments at a press conference regarding the Supreme Court’s deliberation on the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. His comments belie a grasp of constitutional concepts so lacking that perhaps the University of Chicago Law School should offer a refund to any students “taught” constitutional law by then-Professor Obama!

      One major flaw with Ted’s rant – Romney is only a half step better than Obama (if that much).

      If Romney is the Republican‘s answer to America’s problems, then I can guarantee you that I am no longer a republican, and I will go this one alone. Romeny is a big government progressive with no back bone. If elected, you can bett your sweet butt that in 2014, democrats will take back the congress, and get stronger in the house. With the MSM, and both the house and senate pulling on him, he will fold like a cheap lawn chair from K Mart.

      The Tea Party did awsome in 2010, but they got lazy, and rolled over and went to sleep. I will not give so much as a squirt of piss for a Romeny election. I will not vote for a mormon, or a progressive. Romeny is both. I will just as soon keep the enemy I know, as to cast a vote for a slick talking wolf in sheeps clothing.

      I will sit this election out (as far as president is concerned), and concentrate on relaoding ammo, and putting away food and supplies for what is coming down the road.

      I agree with Ted on a lot of issues, but Mitt is not the man for the job. No matter which man you vote for coming from the 2 parties, we will see an increasing gov’t bureaucracy and increased national debt and thus generational enslavement. I saw a sign the other day asking “What would you do if your parents sold you into slavery?”. Well, >50% of American parents have already done that. Debt is slavery and they have burdened their children with the debt they incurred and were too lazy to pay back on their own.

      We spend more every year on interest to service our national debt than we spent on the second world war. And that is at unbelievably low interest rates. If it goes back to the historic average of 8%, we’ll be paying the equivalent of every war from 1900 to present EVERY YEAR, just on DEBT INTEREST ALONE!!!

      Oh, and SS, please bring Obama back to Oklahoma. Last time he was here to lie about he supported the building of a pipeline that didn’t need his approval and was moving forward in spite of his disapproval, it took me an entire day to convince myself that my wife and family would be better off with me out of jail and Obama alive. I really think I might have made the wrong decision.

      And just exactly what pray tell…..are the Secret Service agents going to do or say to Ted Nugent? Ask him to clarify what he meant by his rant? There is nothing the Secret Service can or will do to Nugent with respect to this matter. Ted is unflappable and of all weeks of sorry and sad news stories this is hardly a week where the Secret Service has any need to further sully their credibility at all…..oh of course…like most “poked government hornets nest”…..the Secret Service may try to buzz around Nugent and intimidate him….but in the reality of it all…..the job of the secret service is to protect….and should the most uneducated Secret Service supervisor think hassling Nugent for these comments will bear any fruit of any type…then let them go ahead and try. I mean after all…there‘s a dozen Secret Service agents right now who don’t have much to do….let THEM interview Ted…..that will get the Colombian hookers off their minds for a minute…..and a quick tour through Ted’s trophy room is always a good way to get ones mind off carnal desires….and more into the “here’s what happens when things are in the right place at the wrong time.” I respect the Secret Service for the most part….and I think they actually know better than to hassle Ted Nugent. If they have an ounce of class left in them this week….that would be the higher road to take. But we’ll see….we’ll see if humility prevails…or whether they try to puff up like Toucans.

      For what is my question? .. in all these third world toilets they always start rounding people up when they no longer have to worry about the next election (remember Obama even said he would have more power after the next election) .. because there won’t be one. Nugent was right .. and what is the problem? ..       I am amazed few could see what Ted meant. Who was He speaking to? The NRA. What did He really mean? If the Communist in chief gets re-elected he will take our guns away.
