Do Americans Really Think the Tea Party are Terrorists?

Do Americans really think the Tea Party is made up of “terrorist?” The answer is: no. At least according to both a Rasmussen poll and one MRCTV segment in which 15 ordinary Americans, including Democrats, were interviewed to find out what they think about the Tea Party.
Out of 1,000 likely voters surveyed in the Rasmussen poll 29 percent believe the Tea Party are “terrorists” while 71 percent believe the accusation is outrageous.
Following suit, MRCTV went to Capitol Hill to interview average Americans, including Democrats, about what they think of the Tea Party. Watch the findings here.
The poll and interviews come in the wake of Rep. Mike Doyle stating, “this small group of terrorists [Tea Party] have made it impossible to spend any money” and Vice President Joe Biden adding that “they [Tea Party] have acted like terrorists” during the debt ceiling negotiations.

…. and the left are experts at making lies “facts” in the eyes of the zombies. Worst off all they need is one or two loons to act out they can loosely tie to the TEA party and it will be a lock. My curiosity is WHO started this narrative because it all hit almost at the same time. (please take note of proper spelling of TEA party its in caps b/c it stands for Taxed Enough Already)
Forget who is saying it lets find out who started it and target them. Better yet why not start calling the left a name or two? Why are so many on the conservative side continually sitting on the sideline taking punch after punch from the left? Is it the time old excuse of “not wanting to stoop to their level”? I have news for you folks you continue t do that and save face all you are going to end up with is a feeling good about yourself and losing more ground to them. These are people and groups who never play by the rules. they are like the kid on the playground who in the middle of a game changes the rules so they can win while prior to it they were losing.
America you need to come to grips that you must stop playing their game and start playing your game. The heck with the rules and the heck with the one sided name calling and bomb throwing. Give them a dose of their own medicine already!! http://SavingtheRepublic.com

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 12:28amThat’s right. The Nazi propaganda machine knew that a lie would become truth if repeated enough times. Joe Scarborough (believe it or not) actually hit the nail on the head when he called them “terminally stupid people” who needed other people to think for them. By and large, Americans don’t think, they merely hold opinions… which were given to them by someone else.
Depending upon the circle people travel in, certain things become “fashionable”, such as “being green”, the more ones get into it, the more fashionable they see themselves. To many, it is fashionable to hate the likes of Rush, Glenn, or Sean, without ever once hearing anything they have to say; but the more loudly they spew their hatred of them the more fashionable they see themselves in their little circles. That is what I see behind the onslaught of false accusations by politicians and media regarding the tea party. They believe that if they say it loud enough and often enough it will then catch on with the pseudo-intellectual crowd (AKA “the terminally stupid), and get enough of their voices to join the choir so as to influence the next election.

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 1:09amI am a 45 year old retired Army senior NCO, now attending college. I have started to save all of the dumb statements made by some of my fellow students. One of the recent quotes I heard, in an ethics class discussion: “I’m rather fond of Obama. I’m not really sure how good of a President he is, since I don‘t pay attention to what’s going on. I probably should.” This from a 19 y.o. who said she will vote for him if he runs again. The fact is that it is not just our young that are uninformed, it is the majority of Americans. The reason the Left is so venomous in their statements about the TEA Party is that TEA Partiers are informed. They watch, they listen, they read, and then they check the facts for themselves. An informed populace scares the crap out of the Left.

Although I did always vote Republican, that describes me before the Obama administration. My husband is a retired Navy man, and I put in 4 years in the Navy. My husband has been a talk radio junkie for probably 26 years. I was oblivious. I would roll my eyes when he got upset about politics. Then Obamacare became a possiblity and I woke up. I guess what did it to me was the threat of putting everyone on Medicare-like programs. I have an uncle who is a doctor and I knew it would ruin all doctors. I started paying attention. Plus the fact that I’m a cold war vet, who tracked submarines and knew Russian strategy. I recognized communism/socialism/Marxism, whatever you want to call it. It’s NOT American. Hopefully the 71% will vote him out of office. Even my Democrat Parents want either Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin.

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 9:24amIt’s another way the progressive left is trying to demonize us for their own gain.
From Ann Coulter’s book, “Demonic”:
The demon is a mob, and the mob is demonic. The Democratic Party activates mobs, depends on mobs, coddles mobs, publicizes and celebrates mobs—it is the mob. Sweeping in its scope and relentless in its argument, Demonic explains the peculiarities of liberals as standard groupthink behavior. To understand mobs is to understand liberals.
In her most provocative book to date, Ann Coulter argues that liberals exhibit all the psychological characteristics of a mob, for instance:
Liberal Groupthink: “The same mob mentality that leads otherwise law-abiding people to hurl rocks at cops also leads otherwise intelligent people to refuse to believe anything they haven’t heard on NPR.”
Liberal Schemes: “No matter how mad the plan is—Fraternité, the ‘New Soviet Man,’ the Master Race, the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, Building a New Society, ObamaCare—a mob will believe it.”
Liberal Enemies: “Instead of ‘counterrevolutionaries,’ liberals’ opponents are called ‘haters,’ ‘those who seek to divide us,’ ‘tea baggers,’ and ‘right-wing hate groups.’ Meanwhile, conservatives call liberals ‘liberals’—and that makes them testy.”

You can spout all of your little talking points about him being a republican more than a democrat all you want but that doesn’t change the mans roots which are all based on marxist/socialist principles. Posted on August 11, 2011 at 7:55amYeah, let’s be honest. There is plenty of racism to go around. I hear and see the comments of as many, if not more, black racists today than the white ones. How many blacks voted for Obama just because of his skin color? Hmmm? sounds like racism. On the other hand, how many guilty-feeling white liberals voted for this inexperienced dictator-wanna-be for the same reason. Hmmm? also sounds like racism. Trying to insulate your incompetent president from criticism because of the color of his skin is a very poor use of the tired old race-baiting canard. Obama should be thrown out of office, not because he is black (half-white, actually), but because of his gross partisanship, his corrupt use of power to promote his far-left ideological agenda, his obvious contempt for a majority of the American people and their cherished values, his attempt to impose failed european-styled sociialsm on our country, for doubling our nation’s deficits during his tenure, for trampling on the rights of those of us who disagree with his policies, for stealing from his political enemies to reward his political friends, anf for his many other abuses of presidential power. If this man survives the next election to continue his reign of terror on America’s traditional values, freedom and liberty may very well cease to exist in our nation and his rush to collapse our economic system may very well succeed and be made permanent.

Posted on August 10, 2011 at 11:52pmThis story has a gaping hole in it. You ask the reader to “Watch the findings below” and the ‘findings below’ has a big “video not found” alert on it?!
Let‘s ignore that technical glitch for a moment and have a serious talk about the Tea Party movement in this country and where it’s future may or may not be.
The latest rift within the Tea Party must be solved if we are going to help elect the next president of the United States. This means we are going to have some very honest and serious conversations about the future of the Tea Party movement.
I would like to start the conversations by asking one serious question…
Knowing how the left looks at us (yes, I call myself a Tea Partier but I find the need to add something to the moniker) Tea Partiers is no secret and lately we may have given them a bit of a present. I’m talking about the rift with some large Tea Party groups that are actively seeking to destroy the careers of any Republican in the House that voted for the Debt Ceiling bill. The arguments some of these groups are using are not based on any logic that I can find. It is all based on emotion, the one thing we point to when we are talking about the thought process of a liberal.
Sure it was a lame deal, but all the other alternatives would have been much worse. So my question is… Should Tea Party groups come together under on umbrella and supress any illogical out breaks, or should we continue on as is?

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 12:13amDave, good post. I’m assuming you are referring to Allen West voting “yes” to the deal…which was for me (a West proponent) a real turn off. This deal was BAD for all Americans, as it gives WAY to much control to the super comittee (which excludes conservatives who voted against the measure) and does not really cut any spending. It just gives the government the ability to add 7 TRILLION dollars of debt to the already underwaterTAXPAYERS with no way to recover (except raise taxes). IMHO, the TEA party and Boehner and the Republicans CAVED…PUT YOUR CARDS ON THE TABLE (CUT CAP AND BALANCE) AND STFU….Let the chips fall where they may. You (TEA Party conservatives) are going to get blamed for the downgrade anyhow, so, why not make it worth the effort? See, this is what I’m talking about. teamblazer is doing what will tear the Tea Party apart. Nobody caved! When you ONLY control 33.33% of the government, you are lucky to come away with anything that favors our side. As it is, our side came away from this with more than Obama did. This was a minor victory.
teambl;azer is only listening to SOME in certain Tea Parties that never stopped long enough to evaluate reality. If we had stuck to our guns and held out for either ‘cut cap balance’ or just did NOTHING, there would have been a disaster in this country and every single moment would be blamed on us. And rightfully so. There is a huge difference between the USA Defaulting and having oru credit rating downgraded. A default would have meant economic chaos, as with the downgrade can be managed.
I’m not happy about the bill, but it sure beats the alternatives!
West did the right thing by signing the bill. He didn’t like it either, but it was the only responsible way to move the country forward because we were out of time. And we actually got lucky because we came away with more than the left did. I’m not a big fan of John Beohner, but in this particualr battle he did a fairly good job. People calling him a RINO don’t know what they are talking about. A RINO would not have come away with more than Obama did!

Posted on August 10, 2011 at 11:48pmTea is being served; be advised, libs…you are ‘over’ and might as well get used to it. Real Patriots love their country; libs only demand of their country and that cannot be anymore. Progressives, Marxists, socialists and the like are now on notice. Bring on 2012.

Posted on August 10, 2011 at 11:47pmIf one were to ask the average Brit what they thought of the colonists in 1770 they would have been considered to be “terrorists” as they understood it in that day. At the least they would have been considered trouble makers.
Report Post »I would rather think of us as freedom fighters, much like those of the 18th Century. Our liberty has again been taken away from us and we have no representation by the ruling class. Therefore We the People have again declared our intention to live as a free people.
Frankly I don’t care what people think of us. We intend to vote in 2012 and then in 2016 and so on until we elect and hold accountable a group of people who think both like us and the 17th Century “terrorists”.

Posted on August 10, 2011 at 11:43pmJust who do they ask these question of and when do they ask them? Do they call single mothers home sleeping off the binge from the night before or do they call cell phones of drug pushers? I have never been called and I don’t know anyone that has been called. I never believe these polls for that reason.

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 7:20amHe would at least call for ‘civility and to tone down the violent rhetoric’. No? Oh, wait a minute, your supposed to only say that kind of crap when you are trying to tie the violent acts of a mad man to some innocent non-communists. It‘s ok for Joe and all Barak’s other buddies to call people terrorists that simply want the country to be fiscally responsible. Wonder which one of them dreamed up the terrorist smear campaign; Van Jones, Holder, Napalotano? Maybe that weasel Carney.

Posted on August 10, 2011 at 11:34pmOut of 1,000 likely voters surveyed in the Rasmussen poll 29 percent believe the Tea Party are “terrorists” while 71 percent believe the accusation is outrageous.
That 29% are MSNBC employees and the idiots you see out protesting everywhere (think Wisconsin), the rest of the Americans have G-damned jobs to go do.

thats the percentage of lefty idiots in our country
if you ask an ideological question, you will ALWAYS have 20 % of the population that opines that way while the other 80 % are more tea party leaning in opinion or somewhere right of center
they always think they are the majority cause someone forgot to teach them that loudness doesnt mean they are right
think of children and parents ……………which one throws a tantrum when they dont get their way ? those are your liberals and progressive lefties
