Doctor Arrested for Kicking His 3-Year-Old Son in the Face… While at Disney World

They say it’s the happiest place on earth, but that certainly wasn’t the case for one 3-year-old boy who was kicked in the face by his own father on Saturday while visiting Disney World in Florida.

A doctor from Italy was arrested in the incident after several witnesses and staff members said they saw him kick his 3-year-old son, leaving the child’s face bruised and bloodied, The Daily Mail reports.

Dario Napolitano, 41, was with his family at the Mexico exhibit in Epcot’s World Showcase when he started arguing with his wife and children before kicking his toddler son in the face as he sat innocently in his stroller. Several witnesses saw the altercation occur, arrest reports revealed.

“No, no, no,” the child’s mother was reportedly screaming after he was struck.

According to arrest reports, an Epcot employee “went up to the child and saw that his face was bloody and he was crying hysterically,” likely screaming in agony. Authorities later indicated that the child had a cut under his swollen left eye and bruising above his eyebrow.

The toddler had already been crying prior to being kicked by his father, CFNews13 reports.

However, both parents told police a different story through a translator. They are blaming the entire ordeal on their oldest son, saying he threw his little brother out of his stroller.

“He yelled at him a second time to stop and he complied throwing [the younger son] out of the stroller on the ground. He went up to his son [the older son] and slapped him twice across the face because he hurt his brother.”

Napolitano and his wife refused to let the child be taken to the hospital after investigators said he looked at his son’s injuries and decided no further treatment was needed.

Napolitano was freed on a $2,000 bond and because he is only visiting Florida from Italy, it is unlikely further action will be taken against him.
