According to a doctor that spent an hour with Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al Megrahi last week, the cancer-stricken terrorist can get up and walk around, over a year after he was released from a Scottish prison on compassionate grounds.
“I was very relieved to see him as well as he was. He is a very sick man, but he can get out of bed and walk, though not very far,” said Dr. Jim Swire, whose daughter Flora was one of the victims of the 1988 bombing. According to the New York Post, Swire “believes the former Libyan intelligence agent was the victim of a miscarriage of justice,” and is leading an inquiry into the bombing.
Megrahi was convicted of orchestrating a bomb attack onboard a pre-Christmas flight from London to New York over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, which killed 270 people.
He was originally released when it was discovered he had prostate cancer and was given months to live. Considering the terrorist’s health improvement, however, the Obama administration last month asked that he be returned to prison.
“We’ve expressed our strong conviction that Al-Begrahi should serve out the remainder — the entirety — of his sentence in a Scottish prison,” said John Brennan, President Obama’s counterterrorism adviser.

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 3:37pmI thought bringing him to Libya was a great idea
But I would have let him out at about 25000 feet no chute.
Please Vote in November Sailor

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 1:13pmYou have to remember the progressive communists see the West as an atrocious enemy and anyone whom attacks the West is nothing but a noble “freedom fighter” fighting the oppressors, hence this man was not a murdering terrorist in the eyes of the progressive communists that fought for his release, he was a brave “victim.”
You really have to understand how sick and twisted the progressive mind actually is, and thats why they do what they do… They’re like a cult, with cult like ideals…
They’re far-more dangerous than any of you could possibly imagine…

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 11:04amSomebody should ask the State Department which oil companies, both domestic and international, paid in 1.8 billion dollars anonymously to the Libyan fund in 2008 for the restitution and compensation of U.S. and Libyan victims and did so only 24 days after the prisoner transfer agreement was signed between Libya and Britain. The PTA was the legal basis for Megrahi’s release and $300 million of the 1.8 billion went directly to Libya. The State Department has declined to name these corporate donors. Nice deal.

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 10:39amObama wants him back in jail? That is laughable at best. Libya is just going to say alrighty & ship him back to Scotland. It was about an oil deal & the Scottish & British needed to the infusion of jobs & cash. They needed to keep BP happy because more of their money has been flowing in the States & elsewhere. This was an inside job with a horrible cover up. If they could of had the Libyians to shut up about him they would have pulled it off. Again elitist politicians love to open their yappers. This is another BP example. The shoddy rig in the gulf (I know, spent six months total on the rig) blowing up Americans & securing the release of the Lockerbie bomber who killed around what 270 people mostly American. Enjoy your prosperity BP. We love your energy just stop killing Americans to get it.

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 10:18amThey are desperately trying to cover over their tacit approval of release like a cat turd in a litter box. To us, he’s acting like he wants him back in jail. However, he has done all he could do using back channels to get him released….

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 10:42amThere is this brand new thing called the “internet” and something called “google” that is out there to run searches on. You may wish to try it some time and see what kind of information is at your fingertips. I don’t wish to destroy the feeling of empowerment you might get from actually looking for this information on your own and finding it. As I always told my children, do your own homework as it is how one learns. Since I am not a reporter nor a “trusted news source,” I really don’t feel the need to supply you with everything I have found on my own. I can however make commentary on what I have learned. Tootles…..

You, not I, made the claim so the onus is on you to back it up. It is not my responsibility to back up the silly claims that you make.

we know the facts its easier to find the trolls if they stay blind. The troll only need to read the first post to find the link but even then they are not here to learn but to disrupt, spew ignorance and accuse us of hate while they overflow with it.

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 2:00pmOh, I understand…. I figured that QUEEF either read the article and dismissed it or ignored it all-together because it completely destroyed it’s attempt (feeble as it was) to try and get me to debate a fact.

Posted on September 20, 2010 at 10:16amReleasing this mass murder was outrageous. The people that allowed this must be held accountable. This includes the dopes in the current Obama administration let gave it their blessings. We all know the nod was given by Obama himself and it was done in typical progressive code designed to cover thier a$$es.

Report Post »Hey here’s a crazy thought…. most people serving a LIFE sentence in prison, die in prison. Some die of old age, some die of cancer, etc.
How is it this killer of hundreds received sympathy and preferential treatment?
