Doctors Deliver ‘Miracle’ Baby After Pregnant Mom Murdered

A pregnant woman and her husband were fatally shot early Monday morning in a Columbus, Ohio, double shooting. Family members said Tenishia Latham, 25, and her husband, Larry Latham, 28, were both shot in the head inside just after midnight. Larry was admitted to the hospital in critical condition, but his wife was fatally wounded and pronounced dead shortly after the shooting.

In a miraculous turn of events, doctors were able to save the Lathams’ baby, a girl, delivered alive after the shooting. Tenishia Latham had been seven months along in her pregnancy when she died, family members told 10TV news.
“It’s just a senseless death,” said Tenishia’s brother, Adarus Ferguson. “She was a loving caring person, you know, work hard, all about responsibilities, taking care of family, she was a good person.”
The shooting erupted when Larry Latham was caught in an altercation with an unknown man who pulled out a gun. The couple’s other children — ages 4, 8 and 9 — were all inside the home at the time of the shooting and one called 911 after his mother was shot.
Family members are hoping the gunman surrenders. “Turn yourself in,” Ferguson said. “I know you aren’t going to do that, but you know God will deal with (you), God will judge you.”
According to the local ABC News affiliate, the 3-pound baby girl has been named “Miracle Danielle” and is being cared for in a neonatal intensive care unit.
Pamela Johnson, the baby girl’s aunt, said, “When [the baby's grandmother] said something to Miracle, Miracle fluttered her eyes. She opened them as if she recognized her voice, so that was great news.
“She reminds us of Tenishia. My sister says she looks just like her mom.”

Somehow this miracle emphasizes the others to me even more. The medical heroics to save this child vs. the crass destruction of others. It confounds me.

Thank God little Miracle lives or the thug would be charged with 3 counts of murder/ attempted murder. Unfortunatley I read there was a case where a woman who was 6 months pregnant was killed by a drunk driver. The baby died but the drunk was charged with only 1 count of homicide because her child was not considered a viable human……..

However, as the other comments have mentioned God stepped in and made something wonderful come about, the new life of the baby. She has a purpose in this world for sure and I pray that she grows up blaming the guy who pulled the trigger instead of God. May God look down upon this baby girl and bless her and her family, and I pray for her brothers and sisters that they too will be comforted and be blessed with so much grace and mercy that their hearts have no room for resentment or bitterness. May they find the guy who did this and may he face true justice.
