Dodgers and Angels to Honor Reagan During July 4 Home Games

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will both honor the late President and former California Governor during July 4 home games tomorrow.  This is the centennial year of Reagan’s birth, and twelve Major League Baseball teams plan to honor the former President throughout the season in cooperation with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.

From the Ventura County Star:

“At Dodger Stadium against the New York Mets, fans will see a video tribute to Reagan narrated by Vin Scully, Reagan trivia will be shown on the video board throughout the game and fans will receive the former president’s favorite treat, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans following the Fourth of July fireworks show. In advance of the game, fans can purchase exclusive Reagan Centennial/Dodgers tickets by visiting http://www.dodgers.com/reagan.

At Angel Stadium against the Detroit Tigers, Reagan associates will be honored on the field: state Assemblyman Martin Garrick, R-Carlsbad, and former state Senate Minority Leader Dennis Hollingsworth, both Reagan Centennial California Commission members; and Washington Redskins and former UCLA wide receiver Terrence Austin, a member of the Centennial National Youth Leadership Committee. The Spirit of Ronald Reagan C-17 airplane will fly over the stadium before the game and the Reagan tribute video, narrated by Chris Rose of Fox and MLB Network, will be shown.

Reagan was a one-time baseball announcer in Iowa and also portrayed pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander in the movie “The Winning Team” with Doris Day.”

If Ronald Reagan was running in 2012 he’d be saying: “Well, there you go again, spreading the wealth and socializing health care”.

The Iranians didn‘t release our people because they’re somehow ‘kind’. They freed our people out of abject fear. In a word: Reagan.

This is a good idea and it shows respect for a President that really loved this country, the one we have in office now wants to destroy it.

I started my public career when Reagan was elected.
Thank you for honoring the man.
He was the best we’ve seen for a long time.
One incident I’d like to convey: When Ronny arrived at Ellington AFB in Houston and was being driven to downtown on HWY 45 South, everybody was told to vacate all the construction on the new 45. They said for security reasons. But I believe it was to make him feel unwelcome. I was the only one to stick my head up and see him driven by. He waved at me and really made my day. I’ll always treasure the memory.

I prospered under Reagan. After the Nam, with Americans being made to hate their country under liberals, Reagan restored American pride. It was great feeling like a Citizen again.

I miss Reagan like I miss my dad.

On 25 June, bold traitorism was on display throughout the stands during a CONCACAF soccer game in Pasadena, California. And now, southern California Mexicans and politicians in at least thirteen counties are hot on the trail of secession. Regardless of their flimsy execuses, the desire is to regurgitate a Mexican homeland. Some Mexicans (here and in Mexico) want the land returned to Mexico, while others want an ethnically-based USA state for Mexicans on the California-Mexico border. I guess all these foreigners have gotten what they wanted (to be out of Mexico and into the pockets of U.S. taxpayers) and now want to return to their Mexican style of living, but here on U.S. homeland and at the further expense of U.S. taxpayers. If this country is invaded, I have no hopes that these so-called U.S. citizens will stand up and fight & bleed to protect our borders and non-Mexican citizens. I‘ll be very pleasantly surprised if the expression of respect and love for Ronald Reagan during tomorrow’s game in Anaheim, California, is free from the same kind of expressions of traitorism as shown in Pasadena’s last month and by the thirteen counties now trying to secede.

I miss President Reagan. Unfortunately, I didn’t appreciate him as much as I do today. My grevious mistake. The older I get the more I appreciate what he did for this country. I know he’s in heaven saying, “I wish you well.” I can still vividly remember him saying, “Well, there you go again…….” He was a great man.

I am somewhat surprised that Ronald Reagan is being honored by all these Republicans. Its interest-
ing that today’s GOP has become so extreme since Reagan left office in 1985. I seriously doubt, if Reagan was alive today and ran in the Republican primary, he would be trounced, for being too liberal!
Reagan expanded welfare while governor, increased taxes 11 times while President, and saw abortion cases going up dramatically while governor. All these facts, I greatly applaud, being a Socialist. Reagan would also be highly criticized for having the audacity to compromise with that evil communist-Tip O’Neil of Massachusetts, the Speaker of the House, while President. Todays Republican Party has no statesmen nor anyone in Congress that wants to solve America’s problems!

And like all socialist you twist the facts and ignore the Reality, Reagan was true America loving conservative who stood strong if the face of criticism when right mattered and who did so amicably and worked with the democrats who held a majority. And if you applaud abortion cases going up you are applauding the failure of your own ideology, being that the whole point of tying in abortion with “woman’s health issues” was to educate and empower woman so abortion would not be needed.

Another propagandist. You need to redo your research and get your facts right. If I do it for you you will never learn. Feed a man for a day or teach a man to fish type of thing. HINT: When you do your research don’t go to media matters, CNN, HuffPo, etc.

Reagan deserves any and all tributes. The Dodgers and Angels deserve our support for not being politically correct by not ignoring this man’s contribution to the USA. The people of eastern Europe really understand what he did, which lead to the freedom of millions in their part of the world. Too bad many Americans do not fully under stand what he did.
