Does Giffords‘ Shooter Have Ties to ’Anti-Semitic’ White Supremacy Group?

A law enforcement memo based on information from the Department of Homeland Security suggests Jared Loughner, the alleged shooter of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, may have been linked to a racist white supremacy and anti-Semitic hate group — a link the group itself vehemently denies.

The government memo, obtained by Fox News, notes that Loughlin has no direct connection, but “strong suspicion is being directed at” a group called American Renaissance, a group that Loughner mentioned in some of his internet postings.

“The group’s ideology is anti government, anti immigration, anti ZOG (Zionist Occupational Government), anti Semitic,” the memo says, adding that Congresswoman Giffords is the first Jewish female elected to federal office in Arizona.

American Renaissance has since denied the government’s suggestion that Loughner was associated the group. On Sunday, the head of the organization responded to the claims, calling DHS’ assumptions “scurrilous,” and denying the government’s “anti-Semitic” charges.

“That is complete nonsense,” Jared Taylor told FNC’s James Rosen Sunday morning. “I have absolutely no idea what DHS is talking about. We have never used the term ‘ZOG.’ We have never thought in those terms. If this is the level of research we are getting from DHS, then Heaven help us.”

Taylor claims the first time he ever heard of Loughner was when his alleged shooting spree was splashed across the national news on Saturday. Taylor also says he‘s checked his organization’s records going back twenty years and Loughner was never a subscriber to any of AmRen’s publications, nor did he find any indication that Loughner ever attended one of the group’s events, all of which have been held on the East Coast.

While AmRen denies being anti-Semitic, the group unabashedly supports anti-immigration policies to prevent the entry of non-whites into the United States. The group has been vocal supporters of Arizona’s SB 1070 immigration law, a law that has been extensively criticized, characterized as racist and legally challenged by the Obama Justice Department. But Giffords, a Democrat, has ardently supported the law and has criticized the federal government’s “inaction and neglect” in securing nation’s southern border.

In the time since Saturday’s shooting, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has taken command of the investigation and the Pima County Sheriff has described the act as a “hate crime.”

      Just as there are liberals who aren’t “far Left” enough (New Black Panthers, Francis Piven, Bill Ayers, etc.), there are conservatives (and the Tea Party is conservative) who aren’t “far Right” enough either (such as the KKK or neo-Nazi extreme). Maybe that’s the case here too. Maybe this guy thought the Tea Party wasn’t as extreme as he thought they should be. Did he or didn’t he belong to the American Renaissance Movement, who knows, but they should be watched, too.

This man was in need of counseling to find out why he felt that way but I doubt that he would have been institutionalized since they would have wanted to observe him.       The shooter was ignorant and lazy. Fighting the collectivist cancer force fed the people of this Nation is hard work. We now are a Nation of rhetoric charged political correctness and super egotistic, lazy slime drones concerned only about their self image and inner self. Such is the Tucson shooter. Brought to America compliments of the US Government and the Public School System.

      Like all of us, the Tucson shooter saw or sensed CONgress, the Courts, the Media, and the rest of ooze forcing us down a trans-formative path to enslavement and control. The very act that made the shooter the shooter proves he was ignorant, lazy and self absorbed. The Tucson shooter was everything desired in a brick. No doubt the shooter was taught to believe in all pinnings of the left: Religion is bad; no clear right or wrong; self confidence, self image and and inner feelings more important than the impact of his actions. He responded as he was programmed. As a brick. A lazy, ignorant, emotionally obsessed brick true to his leftist programming.

      If I am confused by anything in this event, it is that the collectivist left is not celebrating. After all, this lazy, ignorant gunman thought more of himself than of his actions. He acted just as programmed by our Government and our schools. The left should be proud of what they have created.

He lives in AZ, where Sharon Angle’s famous quote was to resort to 2nd amendment remedies to solve government problems.     Absolutely correct. So what are we going to do about it? It is time to begin charging
    those who encourage or suggest that violence is an acceptable path against those with
    whom you do not agree. It is time to jail those who spew hate and anger on our radios
    and TVs. The first amendment should not protect the radical fringe and racists in the
    country who suggest that violence is permitted. Limbaugh, palin, hannity, coulter, beck

      I’m usually the first to stick up for law enforcement, but you are right…this sheriff was way out of line. He said he was good friends with the victims and was probably just too close, on a personal basis to them, and that’s why he seemed to you to be unstable. If that indeed was the case, then he should have been removed from the case completely. Still no excuse for his behavior though. As the left loves to point out, words have consequences, and he will have to deal with them.

      Like you, JROCCOD, I’m surprised that the sheriff made those statements. Usually they don’t compromise the investigation and if he was actually a friend of one of the victims, then he was one of the last people that should be working the case.

      Are Sheriffs elected in Arizona? Can he be removed from office before his term is up? To whom would we address our concerns? Anyone know?

      I think Sarah Palin should be held accountable for her role in this tragedy.
      It is my understanding that inciting violence in a public venue constitutes domestic terrorism and is prosecutable under one or more of the provisions of the Patriot Act.
      Isn’t that what “Mrs. Palin“ has done with her words in ”tweets” and website statements? At the very least, she should be held accountable under the criminal code of the State of Arizona. And no lame excuse or statement by any aide or PR flack will excuse her here. Nor will any action to quickly change or modify her website to minimize the impact on her precious “armed and dangerous” image will be acceptable or tolerated in this situation.

      I certainly hope that someone will have the courage to prosecute Sarah Palin to the fullest extent of State or Federal law. What happened yesterday was as inevitable as what happens when you place a loaded handgun in the hands of a child (such as this mentally deranged young man, for instance!)

      Here we go again… The left will now seize upon this tragedy and call for an assault on our freedoms; speech, guns, assembly. They will say that it is because of Glenn Beck or Palin and deny the recent statements by Piven, Van Jones and the like, despicable.

      While we mourn the dead and call for the ultimate punishment for the perpetrator we must not retreat and become silenced by the left as they try to assign guilt to us. We are God fearing peace loving Patriots who despise this kind of violence unlike the left who secretly loves this stuff as an excuse to take away more of our freedom.

      It is ironic that idiots like this guy feel powerless when the government will not do it’s job and they decide to take matters into their own hands.This man was deranged and is not one of us or a conservative. He said he was against immigration and the governments failure to do any thing about it. When justice is not served and laws are ignored and enforced as the government sees fit the result is just this ANARCHY!
