Domino Effect: Gingrich’s Campaign Finance Team Jumps Ship

Domino Effect: Gingrichs Campaign Finance Team Jumps ShipATLANTA (AP) — The top fundraisers for Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign have abandoned his struggling bid amid anemic fundraising and heavy spending.

Campaign spokesman R.C. Hammond is confirming to The Associated Press that fundraising director Jody Thomas and fundraising consultant Mary Heitman have left the team.

The former House speaker’s campaign has been on life support since earlier this month when 16 top aides and advisers resigned en masse over disagreements with the Republican candidate.

People familiar with Gingrich’s campaign spending say his fundraising has been weak since he launched his bid and that he has racked up large travel bills. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk openly about campaign inner workings.

Gingrich has insisted that he will stay in the race.

Newt is sinking faster than Barrys Presidency.. Personally, I think there is more to this story
than what we know. I smell sabbotage. Somebody in the white house fears The Newtster.

Well, in “Casablanca” Bogie advised a pretty young lady whose husband was losing at the roulette table to return home. He said, “You want my advice? Go back to Bulgaria.” Well Newt, you want my advise? Go back to Fox News Channel…………TIS OVER!

I‘m not exactly sure what the hell is this guy’s problem. Either you commit to run and DO it or you don’t! A bright guy with ADHD?… can’t focus. Whatever— he doesn’t get my vote!

I seriously doubt that he is worried about it. He is one of the frontrunners for the nomination and the list of people willing to jump on board with that is endless. Heck, I’d sign up.

His 15 minutes of fame was done a long time ago. Time to move on and find today’s candidate.

I think this is poetic justice in a way…not that Newt is a bad guy or deserves this…just that the Sleeping Giant has awoken…WE the PEOPLE are waking up more and more and the reason his campaign is anemic is because he is still old school…..

What happened to the whole “think tank” that he had going over the last 4 years?? Where are all those ideas that were research and that 70% of ALL people were united on? He shot himself with the Nancy Pelosi – Global Warming PSA and has only gone down hill since. The Ryan Plan comment was just the nail in the coffin and everyone but him seems to see it…even his wife…

Jerry Doyle on his radio show yesterday said the perfect ticket to crush Obama would be Romney/Bachmann IF they stay away from Social Issues like abortion, gay marriage, and drugs. He might have a point there…stay on the Economy/Defense/Constitution and you are golden…!!!

Can’t keep recycling the same old RINOs when people are awake, we want someone who is a true conservative. I don‘t understand how the establishment just doesn’t get it. Give us someone who can beat Obama and do something good for our country. See ya!

    Completely off topic….

I sort of feel sorry for liberals. I was standing in my garden just a minute ago, eating cherry tomatoes off the vine and thanking God for his bounty. Liberals will never get to experience that. Yesterday my son and I took our canoe up to the lake and played in the sun all day, most libs think the sun is out to get them and the lake water is gross (fish and ducks poop in there, you know). We spend alot of time camping, fishing, swimming, all the things the elite leftist city dwellers won’t do because they are too smart and classy to do them. They don‘t leave the filth of the big city and so they don’t see that there is a big beautiful world out there that is not being destroyed by global warming or poluted beyond beleif. They feed on propaganda and whatever swill the lame stream media dictates to them and they swim in the filth of humanity thinking there is no salvation and no goodness in the world.

I will fight their liberal agenda with my last breath, all the while having a great deal of pity for them.

remember when you could just walk in a room and people would just throw money at you, well, i guess those days are over, just maybe trying to get your mojo back is not as easy as it was to sell out America, you have had you time to change things, and you have let America down, so walk away, don’t look back, just find someone who is a true conservative and back them , everyone knows the older you get the more you want to be the same person you were when you were younger, but we all know that we can’t go back, just accept where you are and walk away, before you embarrass yourself even more.

We need a person who can beat Obama. If you are unable to maintain your campaign team, its unlikely Americans will vote for you.

Yep – not exactly a winning combination when the focus of this election cycle will be on debt and the economy.
