Donald Trump: I ‘Screwed’ Gadhafi, and You Should Too

I’m still scratching my head over this one, as Donald Trump doesn’t seem to have done himself any political favors with these comments.
Appearing on “Fox & Friends” this morning, Trump recalled the odd story of how he once “screwed” Moammar Gadhafi in a business deal. The Hill has a transcript:
I think I probably have more experience of anybody [in the GOP field] — whether I sell them real estate for tremendous amounts of money. I mean, I’ve dealt with everybody. And by the way, I can tell you something else. I dealt with Gaddafi. I rented him a piece of land. He paid me more for one night than the land was worth for two years, and then I didn’t let him use the land. That’s what we should be doing. I don‘t want to use the word ’screwed’, but I screwed him. That’s what we should be doing.
Here’s video of part of the appearance:*
This isn’t the first time The Donald has campaigned on odd business practices. As Stu pointed out on the blog, Trump recently said he would just find regulatory reasons to stop business deals he doesn’t like.
Do we really want a president who takes pride in “screwing” people in business deals? Is that the honesty and integrity the office warrants?
*Fox originally posted this video saying it showed the “screwed” remarks. It doesn’t. Were waiting for Fox to post the rest of the interview.

Posted on March 22, 2011 at 6:19amalott of what he says makes sense. I haven’t ruled him completely out. He has the money to stand up against all the union, sorus and other mass contributers that obama has. He is a good business man obviously. Trump does appreciate capitalism, after all it allowed him his success. He needs to keep talking and prove his sincereity. He is gutsy and cetainly isn’t inhibited. I hope if he doesn’t win the primary that he will at least financially back our candidate so we have a snowballs chance in hell to win.We all know that the last election was bought and paid for. Until enough people are willing to make the necessary sacrifices that it will take and stand up for our freedom and constitution we need the monetary support to get the job done. So even if you don‘t think that he could be president don’t knock him . He might be a huge part of the solution that we need. Hopefully we will have a better idea soon and a candidate that we can not only support but get into office.

Posted on March 22, 2011 at 2:02amReminder:
Donald Trump “owned” the real estate that Lybia’s Gadhafi was intending to pitch his tents upon – when Gadhafi came to the USA – for the United Nations Conference in New York City.
This was at the time it was announced to the world – the Lockerbie bomber – TERRORIST – from Libya was being released from prison in Scotland – on a “compassionate release” – bc the Lockerbie bomber allegedly was dying of cancer – and was returning home to his family – to die at home.
US citizens were on the plane – when TERRORIST Megrahi used WMD – to take down the aircraft over Lockerbie, Scotland.
Megrahi received a LIFE sentence – in Scotland.
However, The democrat Party’s Clinton Administration signed a “waiver” to not prosecute the Lockerbie bomber – for the DEATHS of 272 people – mostly US citizens.
When the announcement was made to the world – that TERRORIST Megrahi was being set FREE, the families of the victims of the Lockerbie bomber – went ballistic – and began protesting – in a media blitz – that Lybia’s Gadhafi should not be accommodated – nor should be allowed on US soil – for any reason.
That is when Donald Trump, the PATRIOT, pulled the property from Gadhafi – and none of the hotels would house him.
BRAZIL had a vacant embassy building – and Gadhafi stayed there.
Louis Farrahken and members of The New Black Panther Party – visited Lybia’s Gadhafi – and delivered a check for $400,000.00 – of US taxpayer money – that Usurper Obama/Soetoro provided to Gadhafi as a “gift”.
Usurper Obama/Soetoro and tax cheat Timothy Geithner as Secreatry of the US Treasury – were “looting” the US Treasury – ignoring the letters sent from Congress – to rescind the offer of the “gift” of US taxpayer money – bc Usurper Obama/soetoro did not have the constitutional authority to do it.

“The USSR is an evil empire”
Reagan made those statements. We need that kind of common-speak rhetoric more than ever. Trump is an in-your-face defender of the American way. Vulgar? Yes. He would have made the same type of comment about Hitler 75 years ago. And the same quivering, dithering feckless appeasers would have been appalled then, also. But you can believe that the World Sharia law crowd heard him and took notice: “Might makes right” is the only way to deal with Islam.

Posted on March 21, 2011 at 3:31pmDonald has screwed a lot of little people (potential voters). Every time one of his businesses claimed bankruptcy the small mom & pop shops who supplied products never got paid or got ten cents on the dollar, this almost put one couple I know of out of business. It took them years to recover. But Donald kept his properties, and limos. I don’t think we want the Don in the White House. I think he will reaffirm that in June. It’s all a ploy for ratings for his (double standard) t.v. show.

With our country‘s current economic crisis and Trumps’s business savy he would be a great choice for president. I really like his stand on China, the middle east and getting our jobs back here where they belong. I believe the man to be a patriot, a lover of this country. In one interview on Fox News he made more sense in three minutes than Obama has made since he showed up. You can bet with the current world situation he wouldn’t be partying in Rio.
