Dozens of Illegal Immigrants Trained at Mass. Flight School

STOW (AP/The Blaze) – The owner of a Massachusetts flight school and more than 30 of his students have been charged with being in the country illegally.
The owner of the TJ Aviation Flight Academy at Minute Man Air Field in Stow and the students received federal clearance to train as pilots despite strict security controls put in place after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Some of the 9-11 terrorists trained in the U.S.
Those arrested are Brazilian. The school’s owner, however, is denying that he is in the U.S. illegally.
A spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration told The Boston Globe that the agency is investigating how supposed illegal immigrants received pilots licenses.
The security breach has also raised fresh terrorism concerns after flight sanctions were tightened after September 11. Immigration officials stressed Friday that there was no link connecting the two flight school locations and terrorism. But questions remain after the TSA was ordered in 2004 to verify all foreign nationals enrolled in American flight schools.
“There is currently a review ongoing into the circumstances by which these individuals were issued pilots’ licenses,” TSA spokeswoman Ann Davis said.

At least Janet Nepalitano didn’t say her favorite two WRONG comments and words, “It’s a One Op.” That usually is the first thing out of her mouth. They are all incompetent. They would not have even known or caught this last terrorist plan had it not been for a TIP, calling us to tell us. We always seem to know about these terrorists attacks AFTER the fact and AFTER we have been told by someone else. I would be willing to bet that it was undercover CIA or FBI that told us about these latest attempted attacks. Let us leave the CIA and FBI alone. They know how to do their jobs and do them well at least. If not for these two agencies, no telling how many successful attacks we would be dealing with now.

All TSA is about is wasting taxpayers/air traveler money – and checking out folks “equipment” with the x-ray machines. It is also pretty lucrative in reselling confiscated stuff. Another goal it training folks to do what govt says – like hand over your guns. If the TSA were really worried about terrorists they would be searching the folks crossing the southern border before they put them in jail. (And charged them $3.50 for the privilege of being searched.)
