Drag Queens Create Spoof Music Video Targeting ‘Right-Wing Bible-Thumping’ Chick-fil-A

Chick-Fil-A is a company known for its delicious food and quality service. But in gay rights circles, the famed fast food chain is regularly dubbed discriminatory and bigoted. Much of the criticism has come from the company’s financial support for causes that tout traditional marriage. Now, drag queens are taking the Christian-owned company to task with a spoof on Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On.”
The song, called “Chow Down,” comes complete with a music video that takes aim at the company’s purported anti-gay stance. In it, three men dress to look like the band’s group members (Chynna Phillips, Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson).
The lyrics, of course, have been changed to say things like, “Please don’t sue us for libel, We just want meat without your Bible“ and ”Someday somebody’s gonna make you wanna gobble up a waffle fry, But no go, don’t you know, Chick-Fil-A say you make the baby Jesus cry.”

NewNowNext.com reports:
In this new, destined-to-go-viral video by current RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Willam Belli, Willam, Detox, and Vicky Vox address one of the fundamental dilemmas of our era: Chick-fil-A is so delicious, but it’s owned by right-wing Bible-thumping bigots. What to do?
In a music video parody of Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On,” Willam, Detox and Vicky play their roles perfectly (just check out Willam’s Chynna Phillips head-shaking impression at 1:47) to get across the message: “Chow down at Chick-fil-A (Even if you’re gay).”

Posted on March 20, 2012 at 5:49pmI had heard of Chick-Fil-A before, but never seen one until I moved to OK 1.5 years ago. I received some coupons from a newly opened branch near my home so I tried them out and their food was some of the best I have ever eaten at a fast food place and their customer service was hands down the most polite and professional that I have experienced. I learned of their Christian ownership after trying to visit on a Sunday only to find them closed and it only made my new found admiration for them grow. Long live Chick-Fil-A. Oh and if you want to see a funny song about them check out Tim Hawkins sing his Chick-Fil-A song on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsJHqstPuNo

Posted on March 20, 2012 at 1:22pmWow… I understand the drag queens position, but I also respect Chick-fil-a’s position. I may not agree with Chick-fil-a that gays and lesbians shouldn’t be able to form a civil union. But I agree that churches and their congregation has a right to not support gay marriage. Question is, does it need to carry the label marriage? Can the government conduct civil unions? Yes they can. Without respecting any religion, should the government offer an alternative for the gay and lesbian community? Yes they should. However, the government should not be able to force a church to conduct these marriages, nor should it be considered hate speech for Chick-fil-a, a church, or a person of religious faith to refuse or speak against such unions.
The gay population being able to visit their partner in the hospital, cover them with health benefits, or being able to file jointly has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with equality. Sorry if Christians hate the ideal. However, you are the same ones barking about intolerance of government and Hollywood versus Christianity. It is a hypocritical argument. No matter what your bible says, you can not refuse someone else of fair treatment outside of your church. There are a few religions that accept gays openly, why should they not be permitted to marry homosexual couples?

Credible evidence is up to interpretation. You may require more proof than another. Some find God in Christ, some in Allah. I, however, find more faith with many Jewish Rabbis who embrace God as a verb and not the noun that most throw around. In short, science and theory go hand in hand with their teachings. Many of the Jewish faith have taken the task to study and restudy the Torah with science in mind. They theorize that the error is due to misinterpretations. In fact the Catholic Church even carries some of the principle philosophies, though the catholic church still embraces a hell (while Jews do not).
One thing is certain, science state that matter can not be created, nor destroyed. Instead it is converted. So matter always was, even prior to the big bang.
Then take the theories of the speed of light. It would take infinite energy for matter to travel at this rate. This is because matter would grow in infinite in mass. Thus requiring infinite energy. IE beyond this threshold of light one would take up all points at all times.
Is this not the theory of what is God? God is the energy that flows at all places at all times and allow creation. Is it intelligent? Possibly… Thoughts are but energy within you brain. Why couldn’t consciousness breach this gap… Not to mention that time would almost stop beyond the threshold of light (well to us that are not traveling at the speed of light).

Posted on March 20, 2012 at 2:14pmJohnny, your post is thought provoking. I’m agnostic, so I have no positive claim of “no gods”. I know that the Jewish religion is one without a Hell, . . . and some have indicated that the christian Hell was taken from other pagan religions. I think that many religions ATTEMPT to understand things. Humanity saw “the works of gods” within natural phenomena thousands of years ago. Not knowing why lightning struck, why the ground shook, or why “fire and brimstone was being released from a mountain” often were answered with “god”. We have come to understand these [and other] processes and know why they happen. I don’t know what “a god” could be or how such an entity would actually work in our natural universe, however, I can’t rule it out.
Thanks for the reply.

Posted on March 20, 2012 at 2:18pmDeavonRye it is not up to me to decide their fate. I can tell them what they need to do to escape the consequences. However, if they ignore or don’t heed my warning, they’ve made their bed now they must lie in it. I am only responsible for myself as you are only responsible for yourself. I might say, repent, or you will go to hell; that does not make it so, it just states what I believe will happen to you. God and the Bible spells it out. They have the choice to follow or not to follow. The Bible is clear what will happen. As Capt Picard said to his #1, “make it so”, so God will make it so.
Tell me why that ground zero for AIDS was a gay guy who had sex with over a 100 people and is the one who started AIDS? Don’t you think that was a message from God not to do this? However, he did not heed the warning and continued in the practice. Today innocents are caught up with AIDS from this ONE GUY. Why does Africa have such a high AIDS epidemic. Men who have sex with multiple partners. Another clear message from GOD. Heed the warnings or pay the price. God say that is DEATH.
IT IS YOUR CHOICE!

Posted on March 20, 2012 at 4:46pmBefore I post, let me say that I’m not one who openly defends those on the homosexual side. It isn’t something that interests me . . . and in my opinion, I think too many men have gone away from what it means to be a man.
I want to address the “choice”. Without a frame of reference. . . . and a really GOOD one, at that, . . . there is no real “choice”, when it comes to whether a person can actually make a sound choice of any deity. A person cannot be morally judged when this absence of extremely necessary information [if it is actually true] is . . . . not there. To rely on the writings of man and their opinions, . . . that is hardly enough for an informed choice. In my case, seeing nothing of value, I choose to be agnostic about the existence of any gods. Many holy books state what will happen to those who do not follow their religious codes. As I honestly consider them, . . . since no religious belief can be corroborated, I choose to just live my life negatively affecting as few people as I can and positively affecting as many as I can, within reason. If I am to be “judged” [if an actual god being exists], it will be on that alone. It is honest and truthful. For me to accept any deity, without good reason, would be a lie. As I see it, that is far worse than non-belief.

Posted on March 20, 2012 at 12:31pm. The homosexual agenda is a political one based on the lie of “born gay” so they can ignore the moral consequences of deviant behavior. It began taking an act – sodomy and redefining it to a protected class of an oppressed minority so called “gays” This agenda got its start in Germany and here in the US the leader was a member of a occult organization O.T.O. The radicals that wanted to wallow in filth went after the American Psychiatric Association proudly declaring when the status of homosexuality was moved out of a deviant behavior that it was a POLITICAL victory, they acknowledged it had nothing to do with science. Among themselves they don’t believe the “born gay” ruse – no “gay” gene – studies debunked. Sexual identify they find is fluid, many find themselves in relationships with the OPPOSITE sex and the homosexual community is fine with that as long as they continue to CALL THEMSELVES “GAY”. The lament is if they don’t they will lose POLITICAL power. They are vicious against “reparative therapy” which works. It angers them because it forces them to look at the immorality. We are to mortify the deeds of the flesh not identify with it and define ourselves by our gentials.
