Dramatic Vid: Greek Rioters Fire Bomb Police While Protesting Boy’s Death

Greek rioters and protesters clashed with police Monday as they rallied to commemorate the death of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos, killed by police during a protest two years ago.

The dramatic video shows protesters hurling rock and fire bombs at police, setting cars on fire, and even using metal pipes ans street signs to attack police.

The news agency Russia today describes the protests as the “worst riots in a decade,” and said more than 40 youths were arrested while at least five people were injured. One of those included a bystander who was hit in the face with a rock.

    Greece doesn’t have a long history of freedom.For 600 years they have been fighting on and off wars with Turkey in one form or another as the Ottoman Empire died. They were so used to a master that they didn’t recognize the danger of a semi-benevolent dictator called socialism. Now in one generation, they have forgotten that freedom is work not candy from a sugar daddy government. Morons like this are why my kids learned to work at an early age!

    The same radical elements engage in these activities world-wide. When I lived in South America, the same marxist/communist radicals were causing the same sort of mayhem there! It isn’t just a little bit of friendly fun in a face-off with authority, either. I saw this kind of chaos in coordinated activities that shut down entire countries.
    These people often shut down entire cities with burning tires and riots, even in relatively small towns. In some places they would take buses full of passengers traveling across the country and hold them hostage for small ransoms. They would hold either their cars or the people for $20 or so, then let them go and stop the next car. They did it everywhere. They did it in so many places that the police and military couldn’t control it. They would roll boulders onto the freeway to force vehicles to stop. Then, then would force them to pay a fee like on a toll road in order to pass. They did this in rural areas where no one could stop them to raise money.
    This is just one small example of the kind of chaos and anarchy that these radicals could bring here very easily. Americans have lived in comfort and ease so long that they often don’t recognize how fragile that ease is.

    Are there no grown-ups in Greece? Is there no faction in Greece that is stong enough to stand for their country? Have the ‘children’ in Greece been trained that it is their right to have their government pay their way through life? Do any of the grown-ups left in Greece have an ounce of pride…for their country and it’s history? Do the Greek people realize that, in allowing the EU to ‘buy’ them, they are not just giving up their country – but all of it’s history, which will be erased by their new ‘owners’.
    The descendents of Greece, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and many other countries have a choice to make. They can stand up and fight for their countries and their histories…or they can sell their souls and become ‘global humans’. No history, no descendents, no pride, no individualism. And, when the EU demands you give up your God or your Synagogue or your Mosque, will you give them up as easily as you forfeited the countries you spent your lives loving?
    Stand up and fight for yourselves and your countries OR give in to terror. That’s your choice.
    Instead of burning your cities and killing your own people, start inventing your own communications system, gather doctors and medical supplies and food and water.
    Tell me, when a new ‘language’ is instituted by your precious EU – and you have no vote or say-so because you gave those up – what will you do then? You are burning buildings and fighting in the streets for one-world, one religion, one race and one history. I guarantee it won’t be yours, so what will you do when you see a citizen from your now non-existant country jailed or beaten or murdered because they failed to honor the new ‘language’ or ‘religion’ or ‘global history’?
    You have the power to stand up now and be all grown up. It truly is your job to teach your children that freedom isn‘t ’free’…or a ‘right’. Violence is completely unnecessary, unless you are protecting your families or homes. Plan…think…invent…prepare. What would your fore-fathers do? Would they be proud of you for losing the land they fought and died for? Yes, you all have a decision to make.

Our thugs here will show all the world who the Olympic champions of rioting are. I put the LA team against any rioters in the US, they really know how to destroy and loot peoples property.     Greece has a past history of reverting to quasi-fascist rule when democratically elected government fails. It has happened twice in the 20th century after economic and political crises overwhelmed their leadership, first in 1936 until 1941 under General Metaxas and again from 1967 to 1974 under a military junta. The stage could be set for another authoritarian government taking over if the financial and chaos collapses their system.

    These protesters wear masks. I guess that means they’re proud of their behavior. I wonder if they think that makes them look brave. Don’t they have exams to study for?       This is EXACTLY why in the US, things should always have been managed on the local and state level… but the Fed just had to throw its weight around and it wants everything centralized…

      When you have only 1 point of failure and it does fail, everything fails…

      When your resources and controls are decentralized, but run in an orderly fashion under a single set of laws held by something like the Fed… (oh! The way the founders intended the US to be run…) then a failure in one or more parts can be handled and it doesn’t hurt or drag down the other parts…

      Going further down, when people take care of themselves, have their own means, support and such, then if someone else fails, they don’t necessarily affect anyone else or the others can contribute a little bit (of their own accord) to help that failed person/family out for a short period, but with the expectations that they will get back on their feet as quickly as possible…

      So now the one entity failed in Greece and all those sucking off the system are angered because the milk from the tit of the greek government has run dry and instead of those people saying to themselves “okay, looks like we need to go it alone and help ourselves” No, they don’t know how to think that way anymore, so they turn and attack their government because it is not giving them all of the promised free-bee’s they were brainwashed into believe they are entitled to…

    What do we really expect? For the last 30 years we’ve let our children believe that everything is handed to them on a silver platter…….and if the parents couldn’t do it, we taught them the government could. (and did). The old saying, “If I could go back in time.” rings true, huh? Teach them how to work hard, believe in God and “Be all you can be’ meant something in America. It’s coming here guys.     Sad truth is when a government runs and controls everything, what option does the common person have to be able to provide for themself?? First you have to know how to, next is you have to have the resources to do it. When the governement controls if and when you can open a business, what you can own and what not, and what resource you have to produce anything, how much can you do for yourself?? Greece like all countries where the government has control of everything is slave to its master. Looks like the slaves are revolting, but to what??

      I have a question WHY was there a bystander?? Is this a tourist attraction..? I remember a few riots here.. the kids actually tore up their own neighborhoods.. terrorized their neighbors, looted their own stores .. actually they are claiming to do the same if the DREAM ACT isn’t passed.. my thought is BRING IT ON.. I am TRIED of bowing to people from other countries who have broken so many laws it’s pitiful now are DEMANDING we allow them to stay..

      If the protestors are peacefully protesting and attacked by the police then the cops are thugs.
      However, if the protsetors are violent, throwing fire bombs, destroying property and threatening lives then the police are not thugs. They are, in fact, doing their job. Many times I have seen police, some who are friends, get hurt/maimed/killed trying not to hurt anyone but they recieve the opposite. As far as me not having “the balls” to show up and fight ,if the cause is just I’ll be there, and best thing about me is, bad knee and stroke affecting the same side, I can cover you leaving cause once I’m there, since I can only limp, I can’t retreat.

I think even a police officer should know that it is wrong if a fellow officer murders some one and is not reprimanded as any criminal ought to be. but to see officers defending the guilty ones actions by fighting with the citizens instead of condemning the him which would calm the masses and prevent riots..

      @war pigs, A 15 year old burned dozens of cars and threw bombs at police, yeah likely. NOT… He was reportedly murdered after a verbal dispute, try that butt head. Witnesses say Alexandros Grigoropoulos was approached, verbally engaged and targeted with guns by the officers. The car fires only came after that, since every one was ticked some one so young was killed by a person of the community whom was sworn to protect him.
