OSLO, Norway (The Blaze/AP) — Amazingly, the drivers of two trucks that fell 60 meters (200 feet) down a snow-covered cliff in central Norway came out of the situation alive.
Video footage shows the driver of a tow truck just barely getting out of his cab before it was pulled down the cliff by the other truck it was trying to rescue. Police say a Lithuanian truck driver suck inside the secondary truck suffered broken bones but survived after his vehicle tumbled.

Police spokesman Geir Riise said Monday the truck didn’t have the right tires and was being towed up a serpentine mountain road in Leirfjord, some 700 kilometers (435 miles) north of Oslo, when it slid to the side and tipped over the guard rail.
Watch the footage:
A video shot from another car showed the trailer rolling down the side of the cliff Sunday, pulling along the rescue vehicle. Here’s the whole of that footage:
The tow truck driver jumped out just in time but the Lithuanian driver went down with the larger truck. He was taken to a hospital which said he had several bone fractures but is in stable condition.

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 4:19pmI think both trucks are going to stay put now for a while. They’ll probably have to pay some daily environmental fine in perpetuity.

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 8:19pmTwo things. First, it looks like he did have his wheels pointed in the proper direction, maybe too sharp of an angle, but he was steering to the left. Second, when you call someone an idiot, you need to make sure your spelling is correct. (I’m not always the grammar police, I only point that out when someone calls someone else stupid.)
