Duped: Shamed Prosecutors Drop Charges in Husband’s Fake Facebook Murder Plot

Duped: Shamed Prosecutors Drop Charges in Husbands Fake Facebook Murder Plot

This is the image Angela Voelkert used to trick her husband.

In the midst of a messy divorce, 29-year-old Angela Voelkert decided to dig up some dirt on her husband, David. She created a fake Facebook account, posed as a young girl and proceeded to try and trick him into divulging personal information. Unfortunately, her husband knew who he was communicating with the entire time.

When David described a super-secret (fabricated, of course) plot to kill Angela, she was horrified. She turned the conversations over to authorities who also bought into the bogus claims. As a result, David was arrested last Friday.

When prosecutors realized that the man had known he was communicating with his estranged wife all along, they were forced to reverse course and drop the charges. The Smoking Gun has more:

…Voelkert explained that he played along with the ruse so that he could use his ex-spouse’s machinations against her in their custody case.

To support this contention, Voelkert provided FBI agents with a May 25 notarized affidavit in which he describes receiving a friend request from “Jessica Studebaker,” whom he suspected was his ex-wife. “I am lying to this person,” he stated, “to gain positive proof that it is indeed my ex-wife trying to again tamper in my life.” He added, “In no way do I have plans to leave with my children or do any harm to Angela Dawn Voelkert or anyone else.”

And lie he did — and quite well. His purposeful “fibs” in Facebook exchanges went beyond simply divulging startling false information. The New York Post claims that David went so far as to ask the “teen” to find a ”gang-banger” at her school who would be willing to kill his wife for $10,000. For effect, he then asked the teen to run away with him, writing:

See, I am taking care of everything! I will finally be free, my kids can grow up and not be around all the hatred, it will be over. With me gone with my kids, the police can’t pin anything on me as I will be in another state, so I will be fine. Will you be ready to go with me on the 10th? Let me know, baby!

It just goes to show you that you should never, ever underestimate your enemies. Despite his brief detention, it looks like the husband won this battle. Who will win the war? We shall see.

Actually, I like the fact he turned it back on her. As a Woman, I get sick of some of the sneaky crap used against men in divorces, usually starts with “he molested the kids”. Men are guilty until proved innocent these days, and I am not always proud of my own sex. That is not to say men can’t be just as bad, but a Mom always seem to get the first points.

We honor their gender, we make way, make space and make homes and an entire planet for them.

This is what you get, from some. Are there any women out there willing to condemn this despicable behavior? Is there any honor among females or is it all just a plot against women? Is it all just “men are pigs.”

This little worm should be the poster child for Sharia in the US. Interesting to note is that one of the founders of Sharia law was Malik ibn Anus– finally, an Arabic name which can be translated into a civilized language.

This social networking needs to be shut down. It has no usefulness and is just destroying families and mostly kids lives. Nothing more. That FB hasn‘t made a dime since it’s inception meanwhile investors pour billions into it.

Only the government would be so stupid to waste that money and that‘s why I’m convinced FB is in cahoots with the Obama administration and wouldn’t use it to get help if I was dying out here.

“Any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable and most sacred right – a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can, may revolutionize, and make their own, of so many of the territory as they inhabit.” – Abraham Lincoln, January 12, 1848.

This sort of personal intrusion goes beyond George Orwell’s “1984.” All this stuff we write, all these pictures we post, it all goes somewhere out there and awaits snoops. In my home, I have to use masking tape to cover all the camera lenses built into so many of my new appliances for fear someone like Big Brother is watching, recording, waiting. That said, the Elvis girl pictured in this Facebook scam double back scam is hot in a scanky sort’a way.

Facebook is a total joke. My 81 year old Mother has had her account shut down by Facebook unless she provides a cellphone number and government issued picture ID. They say they are keeping their users ‘safe’ by investigating the people that they think are ‘problems’ … what a friggin joke. She is ‘friends’ with her children and grandchildren and a few of their friends. She used to enjoy getting online and seeing the pictures and following people like Glenn Beck and some others… But now, no way Jose … She is SHUT DOWN and prohibited from accessing her account … Nice work Facebook — are you related to Janet Napolitano? You people are so stupid !!! I am sure that all the muslim brotherhood users over in Egypt and the Middle East have provided you with their cellphone numbers and government issued id’s, right??? But there is nothing to see with those users … they are ‘safe’, but my 81 year old mother … scary … anyone that wants to see the emails from Facebook – let me know ! I am saving them …

I had a Facebook page for about a month before I closed it down. There were people I hadn’t seen in years asking for “friend requests”, as is expected, but everyone should realize that if someone hasn’t made an attempt to get in touch with you since high school, there’s probably a reason, i.e. they‘ve realized that you’re a creep, and don’t want to associate with you.

My wife spends countless hours on Facebook, doing God knows what. What’s the attraction? Just a bunch of people saying stupid or silly things, trying to convince the rest of the world that they’re interesting and actually have a life, when the complete opposite of that is usually more accurate.

Social networking will be the downfall of everyone who’s addicted to it. Step away from the keyboard and go outside! Instead of looking at someone’s picture on Facebook (which has probably been touched-up or was taken years ago), why not go and visit them for real? Chances are that you’ll find them sitting at their keyboard, getting older and fatter every day.
