E-mails Show Vilsack Hastily Decided to Oust Sherrod

(AP) — Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack was warned that he may not have the full story as he stuck by his July decision to oust Shirley Sherrod, the department worker who was wrongly accused of racism.

More than 800 pages of e-mails obtained by The Associated Press under the Freedom of Information Act show his decision was made hastily after learning that an edited clip of her remarks had made its way into the media.

Agriculture Department officials asked Sherrod to leave her job as Georgia’s director of rural development July 20 after comments she made in March were misconstrued as racist.

She later received numerous apologies from the Obama administration, including from the president himself, and Vilsack asked her to return.

Can I please see the emails? AP wants me to believe THEM? Just because the AP says it doesnt make it so. The AP use to be the gold standard of news. Now they just take dictation from the White House. There were two article in my local paper that regurgitated articles put out by the AP. Both left out two very important pieces of information. AP, you know when you omit the truth, you are lying.

Lets stick to the issues white man needs taught a lesson but she lost her nerve and did the right thing and helped him ,It got her fired because she talked about it .Know they need the spin to cover it up and keep it covered .This should be a lesson learned about whats been going on for the last 30 years and how everything is about to change again when theirs no more affirmative action .

There’s a lot more to this. Research the “Pigford” fraud case. Sherrod and her husband are knee deep in this fraud, and perhaps it could be that she was let go so quickly to keep the light from shining on her and her husband’s involement in Pigford and how much they gained from it. Research it. It will blow your mind. No wonder the libs are trying to keep a lid on it. When (if?) it blows up, it will be bigger than ACORN and other frauds, and lots of folks will go to prison.

I would like to know why nobody has asked, just what was in her power to doo, for the white farmer that she supposedly helped. All she did was take them to a “WHITE” Lawyer. was it a case of giving them the hard road of bankrupsy and ten years of digging out of the hole? Or could she have offered a family farm grant that would have eased their difficult situation. Why is it that nobody ever ask the tough questions. Was it in her power to offer a grant, and how many “ black” farmers recieved grants that had similar circumstance?

So does this mean the POTUS was hasty in asking/telling her to resign? Oh never mind, the MSM doesn’t want to do stories that make Democrats look bad.

hahahahahahahaha as if any DECENT boss or supervisor would fire any employee before figuring out what actually happened….especially a government worker, where they know they will be sued. When I had people working for me, I never took any negative action without making sure I knew every side of an issue, and there was no union and little chance of being sued. She was thrown under the bus right away and those responsible should be fired, all the way up to the prez because they are all incompetent.

Why is no one showing the rest of the ladies comments that show IN CONTEXT she is a racist and discriminatory? The media keeps reporting like she was/should have been vindicated, but the facts are she made PLENTY of comments that showed her bias in the very same speech. I’ve seen it on Glenn Beck and Hannity, that’s it. No place else. So she is perceived as a victim, when in reality, she is the victimizer.

I agree, but with the present climate in our DOI(Dept of Injustice) it is a given that if you are white, you can suffer no discrimination and as a black nothing you say or do can be construed as racist.

I watched the entire speech and changed the dialect to “black” from “white” and pictured a white woman saying this in my mind….. then thought… would this person be fired? would this person be crucified by the NAACP? … Yea.

Just another example of the double standard that exists in the world today. As stated earlier, a speech like that from a white woman about black people would cause a controversy that would ruin that woman’s life. Thank God for honest people in the media like Glenn and Fox News or we would never know even half of it.

An old story … but shows the bias of bumbling government officials – not bias AGAINST someone – anyone, rather the bias that they will do anything to maintain their power …. Imagine … The first Administration under the FIRST African American President violates the employment rights of an African American employee … The Federal Government has become a joke when these kinds of things occur … an expensive and powerful joke … but a sad joke none-the-less … So what are “We The People” doing to correct the rampant corruption and limit the central government’s “grab for power”…???
