If you are in the market to purchase of spells, potions, curses or other magical services through eBay, you have until the end of the month to partake. The site, which also owns PayPal, has banned them and other advice services starting Sept. 1.
According to its 2012 Fall Seller Update the following have been added to the list of prohibited items to sell:
[...] advice; spells; curses; hexing; conjuring; magic; prayers; blessing services; magic potions; healing sessions; work from home businesses & information; wholesale lists, and drop shop lists.
ABC News has more from eBay about why it made this change:
Perhaps it’s the intangibility of hexes and curses that makes them tough to host. “EBay regularly reviews categories and updates our policies based on customer feedback,” a statement from the company read. “We are discontinuing a small number of categories within the larger metaphysical subcategory, as buyers and sellers have told us that transactions in these categories often result in issues that can be difficult to resolve.”
ABC also notes some eBay users are not pleased, considering some other religious items may still be sold. Here‘s what one person said on eBay’s forum according to ABC:
“Ebay bans alternative religious items. But! Not for Christians. Holy water and other sundry ‘holy’ items are discriminately allowed. … Hm. Let me get this straight. Some guy in Rome wearing long robes can wave his hand over some water and imbue it with something, and then it’s very ‘powerful?’ How is that different from any other magical item previously sold on ebay?…”
To combat this ban of magical services, ABC notes that psychics have started a petition calling on supporters to contact eBay and voice their discontent:
There are so many people that work so hard to do this everyday, and countless more people who depend on our services! For the few bad apples and problems ebay may have…. is a thousands even millions more successful and happy clients every day!
So far, the petition has more than 900 signatures.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 9:02pmSome protections, since E-bay owns Paypal they will refund bad transactions and they do work to get bad sellers off the site. I’ve been doing e-bay for well over ten years, probably since they started up and have only had a couple bad people. Remember people are generally good

Posted on August 17, 2012 at 7:54amI agree on protection being good. I hadn’t bought anything on ebay in over two years. Then one day recently I got a bill from my paypal acct. for over $1400.00. With in a month or less,it was all checked out and corrected by paypal. I promptly closed my credit card I used for paypal. From now on I will use a prepaid credit card.

Posted on August 17, 2012 at 2:20pmI was just refunded by eBay/Paypal over an item that was never sent to me and the seller never returned my e-mails to tell me what was going on. What they have seems to work. There are some items I wouldn’t buy, like cellphones, because of the potential that I might be buying stolen property.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 8:09pmEbay is a business and even though it is traded on the stock market it is still a private entity, therefore they can sell or not sell anything they want. Petitions are great for Govrnment, but, being a private firm this should be taken up with the stock holders. One more important fact I will point out is, if the psychics really are psychic shouldn’t they have known before the announcement this was going to happen? Hmm….just asking (rather pointing out).

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 8:06pmTypical. Prayers and Blessings lumped together with hexes and curses. The fact that they don’t understand the differences, that Prayer and Blessings aren‘t ’magical’ in any sense of the word, proves their lack of intelligence… and lack of salvation. I weep for the lost.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 6:48pmFamiliar spirits is not a good thing because they attempt to break in on you, and the result can only be gaining a hard heart or even spiritual death to the existence of God. Even God refrains from breaking out on people.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 9:35pmMaybe they did, but were in denial. Or a signal to noise ratio was not in their favor. Each event creates a ripple in the continuum and there is thusly a lot of interference. The signal is perceived on subconscious level, but the ID language is different than our conscious constructs. It takes what it thinks the signal is and uses a symbolic form of communication. Given the noise attached, it may come off a tad cryptic.
So, the actual symbolic rendering may have been like so:
The PEZ dispenser is suddenly empty.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 6:47pmEither marketing ploy, or genius.
If they change the rules, then psychics can tout that they knew it all along that their efforts would work…because they are psychic.
If it changes nothing, it shows a lot of fraud out there, and all those on the eBay site were scammers.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 6:35pmebay had to stop the sale of magic items, because the democrats have bought all of them in the hopes the can continue their smoke and mirrors act.and to help billions of more dollars jusst up and disappear and to help obama win reelection by putting spells on all of the voters. the have spells on about half of America, but now they need everyone under their spell then they can magically change America into a communist state right before our eyes.
