Ed Schultz: Cain is Pandering to ‘White Republicans’ Who ‘Don’t Like Black Folks’

Ed Schultz: Cain is Pandering to White Republicans Who Dont Like Black FolksMSNBC host Ed Schultz believes that GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain is pandering to “white Republicans out there who don’t like black folks” and accused Sen. Jim Demint — a potential VP pick for Cain – of using racist language in his opposition to Obamacare. The “racist” language in question? The word “break.”

That’s right, “break” is apparently a racist term to Schultz and his guests.

Schultz quoted Demint saying, “If we are able to stop Obama on this [health care law], it will be his Waterloo. It will break him.”

According to Schultz, “break” is an “old southern racist term” applied, in this instance, to “talking about defeating President Obama during the health care debate.”

To corroborate his claim, Schultz brought on Dr. James Peterson, director of Africana studies at Lehigh University, who explained that “break” is a racist verb, “a term that was used to destroy, mentally and physically, slaves.”

Thus the Demint line revealed “how dark some of these racial discourses can be in presidential politics.” Peterson said that Cain, by naming Demint as a possible VP pick, “gives those folks a pass” on racism.

The Washington Examiner adds:

Peterson‘s claim echoed and extended Schultz’s conclusion the previous evening that Cain, a black Republican, is appealing to white racists in order to win the Republican primary. “You think about white Republicans who don’t like black folks,” Schultz explained. “It’s almost as if this guy is trying to warm up to them and tell them what they want to hear.”

Schultz cited Cain’s belief that education gaps, rather than racism, accounts for the poverty and unemployment among black Americans. Then, Schultz asked his guest if Cain “is doing a disservice to his race” by denying that “racism in this country today holds anybody back in a big way.”

Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson agreed with Schultz’s suggestion and accused Cain of denying racism for the sake of his “great machinery of self-promotion.”  Dyson said that Cain should especially recognize “post-intentional racism” – racism that people don’t intend to have or to act upon.

Are Schultz and Co. grasping at straws here? Watch for yourself and weigh in below:

It isn’t that white Republicans who support Cain “don’t like black folks.” Would anyone disagree that, as we usually perceive these things, Cain looks and speaks “blacker” than Obama?

I think there are 4 main reasons for Cain’s sudden appeal. 1. He’s not Romney. 2.He’s personally very engaging. 3. His “9-9-9″ plan is simple and easy to grasp, whatever its flaws when examined in detail. 4.And he’s black, so his nomination would serve to immunize the GOP against charges of racism, while at the same time (maybe, hopefully) he might draw enough minority votes away from Obama to make the difference in a few key states.

Ed Schultz just wants to keep people of African decent down on the Progressive “Welfare Plantation”, instead of allowing them to prosper under a fair, equal opportunity employment system where everybody has an equal chance to ‘make it’, no matter what their ethnic background is.

White Progressives like Schultz derive their power by keeping minorities under their thumbs by convincing them that they’re being wronged by the American people…and that the only people that can help them are the Progressives/Liberals.

Herman Cain is right…the American black population have been brainwashed by crud like Schultz.

It seems Liberals believe that blacks must behave and believe what they believe in order to be ‘genuinely’ black? Any deviance from their ideology is considered a trick or has some evil intention. That sounds like racism to me. They can’t believe in Capitalism or have Conservative values because of the color of their skin? That’s insane.

What the Democrats can’t stand is that if Cain gets the nomination, it will be solely for his character and his ideas that are winning in the market place. His blackness will be a bonus for some, but it’s definitely incidental. MLK would smile, and the DUMBOCRATS hate it.

I have just finished reading Left to Tell, a story about the Rwanda Genocide. This kind of talk reminds me of the kind of inflammatory talk they used to stir up the Hutus against the Tutsis. After a while the Tutsis were responsible for every ill that ever happened present and past. The politicians had stirred it up for their own ends, when the leader made concessions to the Tutsis, it enraged the Hutus who had been told all of these things. The president’s plane crashed they blamed it on the Tutsis and said we have to kill them all to protect ourselves. 1 million people were killed hacked to death by machete in 100 days.
When you plant seeds of hate in people they will grow until it ends in death. Uproot all hate from your own hearts before you do things you will be ashamed of.

i am on board except with point 4. there may be some who think that herman cain will immunize the gop from the charge of racism but this story and others disprove that. it will not stop the libs from name calling but it does kinda make them look stupid. also i dont like separating people into different groups. i know thats how the media has made everything now but we really need to break those walls down and demand they refer to the individual not the groups. groups lead to group think and if you step outside the group you are supposed to be in then the group will attack. herman cain will be lambasted as bad as sarah palin but he seems a man of strong character so he will be fine. we should all remember this and not let the absurd attacks change our minds no matter who you are supporting.

I don’t believe this guy or the other media figures really think what they say is true. They just know we’ll shut up and run away if they yell racist. Blacks are determined to keep the race card in play, period! It comes in handy for a lot of stuff. I understand that.

All the evidence points to the fact that blacks, hispanics and other minorities are succeeding in every walk of life even running for and winning the highest office in the land. I’ve been working since I was 16yrs old, that’s 25 yrs ago, and can‘t remember a time when I didn’t have a black boss. I’ve never worked with anyone who was openly racist, until just recently. I’ve come in contact with some really racist individuals. I’m assigned to an area where I am forced into the same work space as they are. None of them are white. There is only about 10 of them. They work for a different employer than I do and every one of them is a liberal! They listen to MSNBC and obnoxious black comics with foul mouths etc.. Even in that job all the managers and supervisors are either black or hispanic. There are a few woman as well. Come to think of it there are “two” white male managers. It is a good sized employer of 1000 people or more in our airport. The majority of leadership roles are held by minorities. Based on my own personal experience seems like Cain is right about racism not holding you back.

Though even if he makes it to the 999 plan being law to get all the way to a fair tax would be difficult but more likely. The notion overlooked they always raise taxes anyways and can gouge us whenerver they want. The chance to thow out that 70k page monstrosity is nice. Um no. The 9-9-9 plan shreds the ENTIRE tax code. The ENTIRE tax code is eliminated, including the active State, and local taxes. It’s a blank slate. If a State or locale decides to implement another tax on top of that, it’s on the people in the State for being lame brained and allowing it.

There is a massive difference between what the crony’s of Fox News are pandering as disinformation and the actual plan itself.

Know what that tells me? They want Mitt because they think Obamma could whip him in the polls.
They are so dam scared of a REAL MAN who connects with people. Obamma had no experience in anything except Marxism, making friends of terrorists and people who’ve blown up buildings and now teach our children in college. Man alive, what a great background, huh? Spend years in a church where the pastor hates the whites and hates America……..”.GD America” Yup! what a background.

Herman on the other hand is a wonderful person, raised himself up by his own bootstraps, was lucky enough to have a wonderful, Christian Mom & Dad who taught him decency and were hard working people. He understands dealing with all and has gained all our respect. I love that he’s not like that inept Obama who know nothing. Cain understands how to correct the mistakes Obama has caused.

Regarding Candidate Cain, Herman appeals to Whites, Blacks, Latinos, Asians and others because when he, Cain, speaks, we understand him. Cain has the ability to lead and the knowledge to do it well.

Know this, if Mr. ED didn’t tell such outlandish lies, he would be fired and replaced by some other fool. He is paid to be an idiot–and he is earning every cent.

I agree. If we thought Palin was treated horribly we will be beyond that ten folds when it comes to Cain and other conservative candidates. They will do their best to destroy all candidates. Especially Cain because he does not believe in enslaving the black community with government assistance programs. He has never allowed race to hold him back and is a role model to the younger black community. They do not want this. They control the black population and they want it to stay that way. God forbid they are independent enough to make decisions for themselves. It makes me angry for them. They are being used and not encouraged to be successful. They want them to riot and be violent against the rest of us. It upsets me that anyone who is black would believe that the much deserved progress they have made was made without the help of the white community as well. Yes there are still some white people who are racist yet today, but there is equal racism in the black community towards the white. I am so proud that my grandchildren do not see color when choosing their friends. Many of us throughout the years have stood along side them for their equal rights. AS far as Obama is concerned, I do not like his policies, race has NOTHING to do with it.
I think that MLK would be very proud of Cain. What Cain has accomplished was MLK’s dream for his people. Cain is a good man, and I believe that the repubs need to step up in his defense.

What do we have to do to show these idiots that all we want is to restore honor and values back to our country and limit the reach of government (and not do away with it as some will claim). Now we have Dems and socialists organizations in the OWS protestors’ ears convincing them that Wall Street = GOP and that the GOP is the reason for our horrible economy…..yeah, let’s ignore or require no accountability of our sitting President. The real racism here is Schultz’s because he is expecting the blacks in his audience to be that stupid as to buy his argument.

On the other hand, given that they must be watching MSNBC, and his show in particular, perhaps it is entirely reasonable to think that they are that stupid. Who else but morons would be watching him? Talk about a niche audience: people stupid enough to listen to Schultz.

So true. But that is the very nature of the democrat party. They have to have pretty much zero respect for blacks in order to promote the destructive policies that they foist upon blacks. They want their votes, not their well-being. And in order to get their votes, you need to keep them poor, wound up, up-tight, ignorant, uneducated, racially primed, etc, etc.

Another example is how do democrats treat asians. They are openly racist agaisnt asians (as opposed to being under-cover racists with blacks) because they know that as a group, asians tend to be more tight-knit family members that push education in their own community. So asians, generally, don’t make for very good cheap votes for the democrat party. But if we had a influx of asians from some poor uneducated country[s] that amounted to a large voting block, the democrats would be suck-up, kiss-up, pander-up all over the place, looking for more votes.

Shultz is typical of the type a Marxist leader must assemble to move his agenda forward.

A good book to read is “The Road To Serfdom”, by Friedrich A. Hayek. He wrote the book in 1944!
The amazing thing about this book is that while you read it, you will automatically see the connection between what he wrote and what is happening now!

This book is an easy read. It is unbelievable how accurate he was about what is happening today, and even then he said the same forces were working for this day.
