Ed Schultz: ‘Damn Right I Would’ Give Money to Obama if MSNBC Would Let Me

Ed Schultz: Damn Right I Would Give Money to Obama if MSNBC Would Let MeMSNBC host Ed Schultz has made no secret of his support for President Barack Obama, but took it a step further Friday in saying he would “damn right” give money to the president’s re-election campaign if only the news network he works for would let him.

Appearing on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Schultz said the workplace bars him from such activities — as evidenced by Keith Olbermann’s departure from the network in 2010 after making political contributions to Democratic candidates.

“Because of Citizens United [Obama's] not going to be able to raise the kind of money that they are going to throw at him, so the president brilliantly is using the bully pulpit — ” Schultz said, referring to the landmark Supreme Court case that struck down limits on corporate spending in political campaigns.

“I’ve done my part, Ed,” Maher cut in to cheers, referring to his $1 million donation to a pro-Obama super PAC. “You’ve got more money than me, Ed. Just saying.”

After some additional back-and-forth, Maher said, “I think you should give some money.”

“They won’t let me. I can’t give money,” Schultz said.

“You can’t give money,” Maher questioned.

“Where I work, I’m not allowed to give money,” Schultz said. “I can’t give political money to anybody.”

“Even to the Super PAC?” Maher pressed.

“Not even to the Super PAC,” Schultz said. “I can’t give money. It’s the standards of practice of where I work. If I could, I would. Damn right I would.”

“No, I believe you,” Maher assented. “That’s right, I remember Keith Olbermann got in big trouble.”

“He did,” Schultz said. “I’m trying to keep my job.”

If he had any real convictions, he would donate anyway and suffer the consequences. However, like so many progressives, they all talk about what they would like to do and not what they really do. Kind of how they all claim to be for social justice as long as someone else, especially the government, is footing the bill.

Fortunately for Tea Party members, FOX is an openly political organization that doesn’t even claim to have scruples of this kind. This election season, they hired every single Presidential candidate as a “contributor.” That organization promotes Republicans 24/7, gives them free air time, allows them to fund raise on air whenever they want, and have other “contributors” on air, Like Dick Morris, who actively support political candidates and supports them on air as a paid contributor. Being a Murdoch political organization they have no scruples or journalistic ethics. They control the Republican message as tightly as North Korea controls their single TV station. Murdoch is being exposed in England though, and we see more of the same here in the US.

Murdoch, who calls the shots at FOX, is in serious trouble in England for his unethical businesses practices, and is now being investigated in the US.

Sounds strange to me, except for perhaps they want to quit while they got the loot and then leave others in the dirt. They must figure they can reign with to Obamaites. Move over and make room for someone else hogites, you are not the only ones in this country who like to collect the coins for our work. Ed, donate as much as you want to the Obama campaign. Since very few people listen to you or care about your opinions, it simply doesn’t matter. What are you going to do when Obama loses in November and you don’t have anyone to pander for? Good luck with your future career, because MSNBC as lost all credibility and is going down.

I used to hear Ed Schultz on radio when I got in the wrong area. Didn’t know who he was at first, but soon recognized his hateful voice and switched the station quickly. Couldn’t stand him then, why would I even venture to watch the crappy TV program he has?

BTW: Everyone needs to avoid all the show-biz types who are having another big millions fund raising for Obama. I‘ve learned that most of those people don’t stand up for me, so I’m not standing up for them with my money to go to their movies, or to watch them on TV. Bla-bla to them.

You think that with men who have money like Schultz and Maher that they could afford some new face parts. Those red halloween lips (even the candy ones) would work for awhile. Also there are the Gracho Marx (seem appropriate) glasses usually come with a good sized snoz that would not altert people to the change, but in a suble way, until the public got used to them. They could then have plenty left to finance some 3rd world country for a few years. If we got Michael Moore in the mix and got him a new junior highschool hat to go with his junior duds (how do they make his size?) he would have enough left to feed the junkies and buy dope for those in NY for a few years. Depending on if he did not decide to use this hugh stash up, then it could be a problem. I guess it goes back to them wanting to go down the street with a pan and spoon and bang the “drums” for Obbie. Good luck with that white boys.

Mr. Schultz, think of it this way. By not being able to donated money, just eliminates the middle man that handles your money as a payoff to you for telling all the lies about how great (which he is not) he is as our savior president!

Maybe it is just me, but every time I glance at Ed Schultz, I think I am supposed to slip a quarter into those “lips?” and see what it does. Since he is collecting, if he could, for Obama, then I will have to forgo my curosity. Obbie is getting enough of our money and I could use those quarters for something useful like those little plastic encased toys that ususally hold some grand surprise for those who have everything but junk.

Who the heck watches this imbecilic Obamabot? Psycho “Ed” is the poster child for the mental disorder known as “Liberalism”. When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious.

I can hardly imagine the barfness of it: Bill Maher and Ed Schultz dirtying up the same page on my computer. It is a wonder it did not crash. If Ed Schultz had Bill Mahers nose his little thin, evil lips could not even been seen. When Schultz would open his big mouth he would likely strangle by sucking that huge snoz down his gullet. That would be news, then again you gotta have readers to have news effective.
