Ed Schultz tore into Rush Limbaugh for calling the protesters fighting the anti-union bill in Wisconsin “freeloaders,“ telling Limbaugh that he should wrap his ”fat ass” in the American flag.
Schultz made his comments during a special Saturday edition of “The Ed Show.” He was reporting live from Wisconsin, with a raucous crowd of protesters cheering him on.

They were told they could have things and of coarse they said yes “i’ll take that” Then every time the union wanted more the politicians promised things that they could never pay for. The politician didn’t care that it was unaffordable. They just wanted whatever they could get. But the people in the unions said “Sure I’ll take that.” They never had to look at the consequences. It kept happening again and again and now the bills are coming due. This is the liberal mind at work like it is in so many other things. If there is a problem they will deny it is real as long as others get to suffer. They are actively choosing to enslave the people as a workforce to pay their lifestyles so they will not have to give up anything. You are supposed to shut up and work harder so that their lives and pensions CAN be afforded. As long as they can demand more from you they won;t have to deal with the results. Sound like abortion?? killing a child is acceptable as long as they can get away from the consequences of their actions so do you really think that “you the people” come into the equation. This entire liberal way of thinking is simply a mental weakness. Slave owners were too lazy to work their own fields too. Taxes are your field and you better be a good “N” and get out there and earn your masters their pensions. Do you know what they will do to you if you say no? The easiest job I have ever had. Teachers have great hours and tons of vacation, benefits, sick time, etc.. Yet have gotten lazy in their job. Now it is about money not teaching

They have value to the company if they don’t produce the product then they are fired and some one else takes over that can produce. From what I‘ve heard they are not giving up much unlike the people that pays the salary for them we pay up to half or more of our health care and they don’t pay nothing at all.

I am a union member in good standing and I pay for my healthcare benefits and I contribute towards my retirement benefits. I do not have enough money to pay for anyone elses. I am glad I no longer live in Wisconsin.

These hard working people are under an unprecedented attack to take away their basic rights to have a voice and collectively bargain at work.
It is an honor for me to play for the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers and be a part of the Green Bay and Wisconsin communities. It is amazing reading the vitriol posted in the comments below. The minions of Beck and Palin are herding together issuing statements that are not backed up by facts or reality. When I read this crap, it causes one to ponder the education level of these people whom appear to be only able to parrot back the far right set of talking points. For those of you who are middle class or lower middle class if you can’t read the tea leaves that Beck and Palin are out to make the American society two classes, rich and poor then you are blind. Beck makes millions of dollars and does Rush and Palin, do you people actually think that they care about the plight of America? I don’t care whether people are wealthy as long as it was obtained leagally. And, yet we saw Wall Street run amock unchecked by the republicans in control at the time. Guess what, they want to do it all over again. You loose middle America and you just don’t see it. Come out from under your blanket of fear which is the mantra of Beck, Rush and Palin.
If you don’t wake up to the reality of their fear mongering then you will forever captive to their wacky beliefs. The greatest transfer of wealth from the middles classes to the rich happen under Bush, where the rich now make 300-400% more than the average worker. The republicans don’t care about you middle American, they care about their rich cronies. There was a time in our history when we had the so called Robber Barons, the filthy rich who made their collective millions off the backs of the middle class and the working poor. Well American they are back again. Did anyone from Wall Street go to jail? Those cronies of Bush and Cheney? The country was brought to the brink of economic collapse and now your Tea Party congressional members and the republicans are fighting the financial regulatory controls put in place to stop that behavior that caused the worst recession since the great depression. You all better wake up, because it was not the left who put in laws to secretly wire tap your phones or take away American liberities under the so called Patriot Act. Big Brother has been here for many years and it will only get worse under republican control. Your air, water, and food are targets for deregulation and next to come will be the child labor laws. What liberties we have left will disappear under legislation in the congress. I pray to God, that the workers of Wisconsin get the backing of every American. For once their collective rights are destroyed, your rights are next.

I pay 1K a month just for my family’s health insurance, I do small jobs “any small job” to try and make ends meet, I do not have a steady job but I’m too proud to take welfare “unemployment” I’m 50 years old & tired, so trust me when I say, “these Union workers have not a clue what real work and personal responsibility means”…it sure in the hell isn’t government freebees, unsustainable tax money to pay for your healthcare, are you kidding me! The Unions forced their hand one too many times, now it’s come back to bite each and every Union employee that still believe things are free!

And while I am furious with those teachers who have been closing school and calling in sick, I have no clue where Justanamerican got his stats from. MILWAUKEE has a horrible graduation rate, around 50% or so, maybe the 45% he listed, and yes, the African American rate is worse, but all of the rest of the schools in the state average more like 90%. Let’s please stick to the facts, like how little they currently contribute to their bennies and how high their average pay is compared to the state average.

I don’t know about anyone else but I am beginning to feel like a slave. A slave to these people and corporate smucks who take multi-million to multi-billion dollar bonuses while I get a raise from 1 to 3 percent at best and my health care costs went up 70 percent from the previous year to this year.
If there is a revolt I don’t think it will come from those on the far left or far right. It will be all of those of us in the middle that are getting squeezed more and more by those two groups!

The more they strike and protest, the more the general public is getting a birds-eye view of what they are all about. America is about fed up with Unions, and its not so much a knock against Union rank and file, it’s their Union leaders making 1/4 Million dollars a year that I have a problem with.
Plus, the average American is starting to do the math, and they don’t like it.
Work for a Union in a state or local government job you get…
1. Much higher wages than same job in the real world.
2. Most if not all medical bennies paid in full.
3. Over 90% of your retirement paid for, but not by you.
If these Union workers don’t like the sweet deal they have, they should quit. But first, I suggest they re-imburse the taxpayers for all the money we have forked over so they can get multiple paid holidays, multiple weeks of sick pay, plus the other bennies listed in the top 3 above. Then we could hire people that would actually WORK for their paychecks!
