Ed Schultz To Obama: Walk The Picket Line, Or You Don’t Deserve A Second Term

Ed Schultz, MSNBC’s man of the people, who spent much of last week on the streets of Madison Wisconsin leading a pep rally in front of the state capital is asking one of the same questions that we at The Blaze are asking, ‘Will the President live up to his campaign promise and march with the protesters?’
(Watch our earlier clip of that promise.)
If President Obama does not find his comfortable shoes and stroll the streets of Madison, Mr. Schultz has a dire warning for Obama’s 2012 aspirations:
To be fair, Mr. Schultz left the President some wiggle-room in his ultimatum. He did say:
“If the President can’t go on a road trip or say more than one sound bite to a local affiliate, and realize that this is what 2012 is all about, if he can’t unequivocally come out in support of every protester that has been out there peacefully trying to fight for their way of life and protect their kitchen table, if this president can’t do that, then he does not deserve a second term.”
But it did not end there as Ed took us into the ‘Liberal Locker Room’: (the thumbnail looks the same, but the clip is different)
Ed then drew a parallel between Libya and Madison. Yes he did. Libya, where a dictatorship is under siege and a leader is murdering his own people. Really. Is Mr. Schultz saying that unless Obama goes to Madison, the same fate awaits Wisconsin?
And finally, Ed Schultz closes his road trip rant with a final plea:
One fact Mr. Schultz might want to consider is that unions make up less than 12% of the current American workforce (quoting US Labor stats 6.9% of private workers, and just over 32% of public employees are in unions). Perhaps the President is mindful of the reality that 88% of working people are not in a union and may have concerns about being bullied by a very vocal minority.

Posted on February 25, 2011 at 2:56pmVery Very Very vocal. In fact some might say downright loudmouthed. It is no surprise these people act like they are fighting for their lives. They have a really good thing going financed o0n the backs of the majority of the other tax payers.
They will be brought into line with the private sector, like it or not. Especially since I am paying for it.

Posted on February 25, 2011 at 5:10pmI’m not an fan of Ed, nor was I of Olbermann. But one thing about those guys, and Huffington and Maddow and whomever else is that although the often agree with the President, they criticize him when they think he is wrong. That means, if nothing else, that they have personal opinions and convictions, they compare those beliefs against what the President does, and then they agree or disagree with him. Yes, they agree more often than not, but they do disagree with him.
Contrast that with the conservative commentators. It is unheard of hear one of them (let alone anyone here) agree with the President on anything. And I mean anything. It’s a rule. People go as far as to reverse opinions when the President agrees with them. If Obama takes his wife to dinner he’s criticized, if he buys a dog he’s criticized. If he were to come out in favor of being nice he’d be slammed for that (wait, that already happened).
See where I’m going with this? Conservatives define their opinions as whatever is the opposite of the President. When that’s how you formulate your ideas, then you lose any claim to objectivity, which is exactly the case with conservatives these days. Here more than anywhere I would add.

If I do that, be sure and call me on it.
Like someone else said, it is Obama’s goal to destroy the American economy, and so even the things I might agree with him on must be seen in light of his commitment to Saul Alinsky tactics, which are to trick the people into taking your side by just seeming cool and ignoring or ridiculing your opposition – but not actually arguing and responding to the opposition.
We saw that with the Health Care debate, when he, rather than address the fundamental Constitutional concerns the Right raised, simply dismissed them as having already been discussed throughout history, and trying to redirect the focus of the debate to “what we agree on” – which completely misses the point of the objections raised, and he knew it.
Obama is an enemy of America, and he needs to be tried for treason.
