Egyptians Pledge Anti Israel Million Man MarchWhile anti-Israel activists have been demonstrating outside Israel’s embassy in Cairo for the fifth day in a row, Egyptian daily al-Youm al-Saba’a reported Wednesday that protest organizers are now calling for “a million-man protest” to take place outside the embassy on Friday.

Using Facebook and other social media tools, organizers allege the demonstrations aim is to forcibly remove Israel’s ambassador to Egypt and close the Israeli embassy altogether.

Protesters reportedly chant “expell the ambassador immediately.”  Some demonstrators have even gathered outside the ambassador’s Cairo residence and called on local residents to join them in order to “force the ambassador to leave Egypt.”

Israel National News reports:

Anti-Israel protests erupted in Cairo last weekend following reports that at least three Egyptian security officers were inadvertantly killed during a firefight between IDF forces and the terrorists who perpetrated the deadly terror attack near Eilat that left eight Israeli civilians dead last Thursday.

The protesters burnt Israeli flags and threw fire crackers at the embassy building in hopes of igniting the Israeli flag at the embassy. An Egyptian youth later climbed the building and took the Israeli flag down.

The border-fire incident has stirred a diplomatic crisis between Jerusalem and Cairo. Egypt’s cabinet said Sunday an Israeli statement expressing regret for the border deaths was not enough, but it stopped short of recalling its Tel Aviv envoy. Israel has determined at least three of the terrorists involved in last Thursday’s attacks originated in the Sinai, contrary to previous Egyptian claims Sinai terrorists were not involved in the incident.

Protesters are allegedly demanding the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt be altered, particularly with regard to the military presence in the Sinai, which protestors want completely abolished. But, as INN notes, the re- or demilitarization of Sinai be a fatal blow to the 1979 Camp David Accords, and could result in open armed conflict between the two nations.

With social networking tools having been successful in organizing anti-Israel initiatives in the past, one wonders how many anti-Israel demonstrators will turn up to Friday’s million man march.

      I don’t take a position one way or another, but I have to say that, as an objective observer, it looks like this is the beginning of the end for Israel.

      The arabs outnumber them greatly, and many of the countries in the Middle East are getting more powerful militarily, especially Iran. I doubt Israel can hold back the multi-millions who are wanting their heads for much longer.

      The US is becoming so weak it can’t afford to get involved.

    A) Forget the air support, that was the easy part. We saw this guys fighting and dying with sandals as boots and turbans as helmets. No abraham tanks, no bullet protection, no humbees or the like: they are not afraid to die. A formidable enemy with unity of purpose. Tell me of an army on this earth that would fight in this conditions. None.

    B) We post and repost and our words are stagnant compared to their determination. Complete idiots lost on the news of the day, not knowing that to defeat them will will require wiping out entire countries, and that won’t happen.

      Okay, on that one, you just dropped your position in the ‘questionable’ stack. From a purely military standpoint, we were within 9 months of annihilating the NVA and had annihilated the VC. That’s straight from Ho Chi Minh after he met with our top general some years after Vietnam was declared a loss. We only lost because the press decided we were losing and to shove it down our throats. Nothing I’ve ever come across implicated Chinese directly or indirectly.

      I would like to see some sources for both your Israel implications and the Vietnam position, for cross-reference purposes. I’m not saying they are wrong outright, but it doesn‘t smell like its on the level given what I’ve seen and read over the years.

      OHIO, I’d love to climb on board, but, without the full military support of the USA, Israel cannot win an all-out war with its neighbors. And, under the command of our current CiC, Israel certainly DOES NOT have that unconditional support. If I were Netanyahu, I’d be ramping up a PR campaign reminding the Egyptian people about their vulnerability should anything “unfortunate” happen to the Aswan Damn.     I suggest that the Egyptians reread the Bible where they lost big-time the first time they opposed Israel and so many died crossing the sea, perhaps that will inspire some to rethink their plans to try and hatefully disturb Israel in the future. I doubt it though. When Jesus returns, these disputes will be put behind us. Too bad so many hate-filled people will lose their lives because the politicians have chosen to distribute revisionist history in order to make Jew haters out of children who know no better.       I haven’t seen any posts from you before. Glad you liked this one. I like your user name. I grew up in Virginia way back when we could walk down the street with a side arm or a rifle. Or go to the local hardware store as a teenager and buy ammo. I took my (3rd generation) model 241a Remington to 9th grade woodshop (early 1970′s) to re-do the finish on the stock with no problems at all. Can’t do that now-a-days! We were so honest and honorable back then with respect for the law. And the Law respected us because we respected them. No problems and no crime in my neighborhood back then. Can’t say that for my neighborhood now (in Florida).

      I’m usually late to the party on the Blaze, so no wonder you haven’t seen any of my posts. Thx for the accolades, BTW.

      Unfortunately, I’m a bit too young to have lived in such honorable times, and I fear we are now building up to a second civil war at a frenzied pace, but those are the breaks. Nowadays you have to have certain parts of your anatomy x-rayed to carry a firearm concealed…and God help you if you try exercising your right to carry open. I dunno, it is almost as if the Left wants to use crime waves as some form of background population control…

      All things considered, what Chris Matthews has for breakfast goes a lot farther down the scale than beer. I‘d’ve figured him one for PCP, the way he lives in some distorted caricature of reality and attempts to pass it off for the present shape of the world. The tingle he gets in his legs for Obama may also be a symptom of some form of hallucinogen…

      @The-Monk. Exactly! The official count for 8-28 by the MSM was 87,000! Egypt likes social media outlets if they are rallying against Israel … but not so long ago it was just fine to close it down if they didn’t like the homeland criticism.

      I was going to post the same thing glad you beat me to it. I would like to hear what Emperor Obamas Carnival Carney will say if asked about this. That the potus supported this uprising which is now leading to a march against Israel. A march we all know will lead to violence, the monsters over there have proven it time and again.

      Id also like to hear what Bill Kristol has to say about it too! Why is it we get it but those in media nd govt dont… or do they. If they do then do they endorse what follows? It wont stop with Israel for anyone thinking get them out of the way the US is next. If the lunatics can pull it off and make Israel the bad guy to be “removed” then its just a question of time till that experiment is used against the US.

      It has nothing to do with the US intervention policy it has to do with the influence of the American life has to the rest of the world. Its why they want to bring us down while lifting others, we are rich and they are all poor bring us down so we are all on an even playing field.
