Egypt’s Islamist President-Elect Wants to Restore Ties to Iran, ‘Revise’ Peace Deal With Israel

Egypt’s Islamist Presidential-elect Mohamed Morsi says he wants to restore ties to Iran in order to “create a strategic balance” in the Middle East. He will also “reconsider” the country’s peace deal with Israel, according to an interview published by Iran’s Fars News Agency on Monday.
“We must restore normal relations with Iran based on shared interests, and expand areas of political coordination and economic cooperation because this will create a balance of pressure in the region,” Morsi said, the Christian Science Monitor reports.
Egypt and Iran severed diplomatic ties in 1980, roughly a year after Egypt signed a peace agreement with Israel. And now after roughly three decades of peace, Israel is in trouble of gaining yet another hostile Islamic enemy in the region.

“Part of my agenda is the development of ties between Iran and Egypt that will create a strategic balance in the region,” Morsi was quoted as saying.
“We will reconsider the Camp David Accord” that, in 1979, forged a peace between Egypt and Israel that has held for more than three decades, Morsi was quoted as telling a Fars reporter in Cairo on Sunday, just before his election triumph was announced.
He said the issue of Palestinian refugees returning to homes their families abandoned in the 1948 Arab-Israeli war and the 1967 Six-Day War “is very important”.
Morsi added though that “all these issues will be carried out through cabinet and governmental bodies because I will not take any decision on my own.”
“Our policy towards Israel will be a policy based on equality since we are not weaker than them in any field and we will discuss the issue of the Palestinians’ rights with the related sides since this is highly important,” Mursi told the Fars News Agency Sunday, just hours prior to being announced the winner of the presidential election
“We will revise the Camp David treaty,” he added.
Morsi was declared on Sunday the winner of Egypt’s first free presidential election in its modern history, following a tight race with Mubarak’s last Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq.
The campaign had deeply polarized the country, pitting a former regime official and former military man- feared to be a continuation of Mubarak’s autocratic rule but viewed by some as an agent of stability- against an Islamist.
On Sunday, President Barack Obama telephoned the U.S.-educated Morsi to congratulate him on his victory and offer continued support for Egypt’s transition to democracy. The White House said Morsi expressed appreciation for Obama’s call and “welcomed U.S. support for Egypt’s transition.”
Ali said the 60-year-old Morsi arrived at the presidential office on Monday for official meetings and consultations. He said his priority is to form a working presidential team until he finishes consultation over nominating vice presidents.
“His priority is the stability on the political scene,” said Yasser Ali, a spokesman for Morsi’s presidential campaign.
Iran has also adamantly supported Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his brutal regime, which is still battling a revolt that has spilled into the streets of Syria.

Time will reveal the extent of USC‘s educational impact had on Morsi’s humanitarian ideals. Or, it will be demonstrated that despite earning a respected USC Ph.D., Morsi’s commitment to Islamic world domination and Sharia Law continues unabated and unmitigated; and his commitment to the Muslim Brotherhood’s obsession with the destruction of Israel unchanged. As a USC alumnus, I find this VERY interesting!

Israel is America’s cancer. Only the religious zealots see it otherwise.

Posted on June 25, 2012 at 2:38pmAround 2005 a consultant of mine who has many family members in Egypt told me the this could never happen. He said they were too westernized and would squash any uprising promoting the taking away of any of their freedoms. Hope he likes crow. He now fears going home for visits because he is “Americanized” and in the future he and/or his family could be a target if the situation keeps degrading.
There is a lesson in this somewhere.
I look at that picture of that guy kissing the poster and he sure looks a lot more like NoBama than NoBama looks like me.
The politicians in Washington should be scrambling, even if behind the scenes, to permatate the possible scenereos and what we can do NOW to protect Israel from extinction, because that battle is just over the horizon. Today, any aid to Egypt is hurting the future of Israel. At some near future time the MB will feel emboldened, and along with countries like Iran, and Russia having their back, Israel WILL be attacked. With Russia, and possible China at their back, the USA is put in a no-win situation. So any action needs to be NOW, before our hands are tied and they have our monies and equipment to use at their whims.

This is the problem. Israel‘s interests are not America’s interests. Israel is not America. I care about America and Americans. Let the nuclear power Israel worry about Israel and Israelis. Israel is the problem in the Middle East. And, stupid American zealots always placing Israel’s interests above our American interests are the real enemies of freedom.

If Israel is wise, it will take in Coptic Egyptian refugees. Christians and Jew both have to be concerned by renewed islamic intentions to rule the world.
Regardless, the world is in for a season of bloodbaths since the islamists won’t be satisfied until we are all under their control or dead.

In the world market countries need allies. Where would Europe be with the USA helping defend against Germany…TWICE. Israel is our foothold in the Middle East. There is a symbotic relationship going on. You may argue that we don’t need no stinking foothold in the Middle East, but it provides uncalcuable intel to protect our country for what may arise in the near future. The Middle East is a ticking time bomb, so it is nice to be close enough to monitor it.
Israel can defend itself from a reasonable attack.

No group is more anti-Christian than Jews. And, if we are going to play the ‘rule the world’ game, Jews would be front and center on that issue.

Posted on June 25, 2012 at 3:40pmMicmac, Israel has been America’s albatross in the Middle East. You are simply repeating the same nonsense that other propagandists have been repeating for years, despite the evidence and reality.
Europe is a world economic center. Israel is not. Europe has a wealth of natural/human resources. Israel does not. Europe is a continent on this planet. Israel is the size of New Jersey. Our support of Israel has turned every Middle East nation against the United States, a sizable portion of the world’s population. And, if Israel was such a strategic ally, explain it’s negative impact on American policy in the first gulf war.
Israel is worth nothing.

Your extending my comments in a direction I didn’t go to. We do not look for Israel to protect us, but simply to share information and allow us a physical foothold in the region. Beyond that, they are on their own. This is where Paul lost my and others votes…he just wanted to say au revoir to Israel, when what it provides is a strategical asset.
Europe is not the financial giant it was. Since the creation of the Euro-Europe, in the hopes of some fascists/socialists who implimented the Euro to create a federal Europe through the EU and ECB, it has been on a slow spiral, waiting for the current collapse which we call PIIGS. The dollar has been the world trading currency for about 1/2 century now, even though NoBama, Bernanke, Geithner, et al are trying to debase this, which would if successful, devalue the dollar to a fraction of its current value.
Bets are on as to when the EU will collapse, as Germany can only support it for so long, and Spain is now on the table, and Italy, recently being forced to an unfavorable loan, but was relatively solvent until this loan forced upon them, could have weathered the next phase of defaults. Things to come. Europe is in trouble.

Posted on June 25, 2012 at 5:12pmMicmac, you compared Europe to Israel. I extended nothing. You mentioned defense of early/mid-20th century Europe, and that was the worlds economic powerhouse, then. And, Israel is not our foothold in the Middle East… the first gulf war proved that, which is why I referenced it… objective fact, not fancy.

Your an Idiot!… The Jews have done more for this country than you or any muslim could do!….. One other thing “those who Bless Israel will be Blesssed and those who curse Israel will be cursed”! Yet you seem to think we should just leave Israel to themselves, what if we would have done that with Hitler? Do ya think Ethnic Cleansing is acceptable? Your no didfferent than the muslims! What about the fact, when the lands in the Middle East were desolate, for almost 1900 years Not one person could make a living off the land. No mad sheep hearders wouldn‘t tend their flocks because they couldn’t grow anything. Yet when the Jews returned to Israel, the Land slowly but surely started producing large amounts of food! You should look it up, I believe the Europe gets about 70 to 80% of produce from Israel. They also raise pigs, cows, sheeps, and lead the world in drip irrigation technology! Look what they have done for Pharmaceuticals and research of New Drugs! Then look at what would happen if Israel wasn’t there! How much would we pay for Oil then? As far as Nuclear, I don’t see Israel telling everyone their going to blow the H_ll out of everyon

And soon he’ll be sending our hard-earned tax dollars to support this Islamist Supremacist dear Leader, Mohamed Morsi, to pay for some more tanks to run over some more Christian Copts there. It’s not enough that the Copts have been relegated to 3rd and 4th class status and will now be paying the jizya (Muslim tax) to the Islamist plunderers and occupiers to continue to live in their own country of origin.
Ah, yes, nothing is going to go wrong there.
And now the Islamist tyrannical regime of Mohamed Morsi is going to partner with our arch enemy, Iran, whose dear Leader, AhMADinejad, has said numerous times he’s going to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, and then us. And where the modesty police Supremacists have been scooping up women off the streets for wearing nail polish, or some such thing, so that they can be freely raped in the prisons there. And all of this soon to come to a neighborhood near you in Egypt.
Of course, in America, we’ll hear about none of this from the fourth arm, the MSM, who have become absolutely criminal in what they don‘t report because it doesn’t suit the vile agenda of the Fabian Socialist anti-Christian anti-women Left, the precursors of the American Left, who have partnered with these Islamist Supremacists in America to further their agenda of their globalist tyranny over us.
